As I type this, I am currently enrolled into the CNA class, this will be my honest thoughts on this school.
For starters, you are given a book before the classes actually start & told to read chapters 1-6 you are also told to print out pages that get emailed to you, before coming to the class. You get 3 " classwork/fill in the blanks " that come with what is told to be printed out before coming to school, we have YET to go over or collect any of them in class. I'm technically on day 4. & the pages have completely been forgotten about unless you remind or ask them about it. On day 2, there was a test on abbreviations... that we didn't go over or even mention on day 1, it's 60 questions for every test they give & we were released right after taking it. We were told that we'd get the tests back the next day. The next day comes & im constantly asking "WHEN are we gonna get the tests back ?" Because later that day, we had a SECOND test. When I asked the lady, she said " oh let me go check to see if we still have them " like UM why would you NOT have them? Are we just BSing & doing this for nothing & you throw them out or don't even look over it ? I was bothered because we still have yet to receive & see which answers we got wrong from the day befores test ... anywho, the skills days are probably the only "positive" thing bc you actually learn from the skills teacher ( not the chapter / lesson teacher ) However, on the chapter days, that teacher has fallen asleep countless times, with pictures for proof, she sometimes forgets to put her hearing aid on & is 73 years old with a heavy accent, talks more about her personal life than the book, even then, all she says is definitions that can be learned alone at home & then she recommends for us to go back to read that actual chapter at home. We literally read 6 chapters in about 3 hours. Which is way to quick.. bc we are obviously not reading it all or soaking the information in. It could basically be an online class, until it's time for the skills portion with the other teacher (every other day) . The lesson teacher is not someone you want to learn from. I told the ladies in charge that I'm no longer interested in taking the course especially when the teacher herself keeps falling asleep, how can you have interest in someone that doesn't have interest in you.. I'm also not happy because of how things are being taught or how the teachers teach. They insist that I still have to pay for a class that I only spent 3 days in .. since I was only there for 2 hours on day 4... which is ridiculously unreasonable because I explained my view of the lack of teaching, training & interest in the class, I've also already put down a deposit of $300... which you'd think is fair for $100 day, for the 3 days I have attended. To sum up, I would not recommend this school, I will be sure to spread the word on all platforms. read more
