When I arrived at 1pm the door was locked, and I was never told that there was a whole other room down the walkway. Actually, a customer showed me where the other room was. The vibe was cool. I did not get her name, but the young lady who did my nail. She was nice enough and very gentle. For me, the Mani-Pedi, we're good work. The problem that I have is the polish. I believe it was $3 per nail extra for the cateyes. None of my nails have cat eyes at all. The reason may be, the polish that I chose was a little bit lighter than what was on my toes? So she says she will go over with a red(i agreed), but I assume that it would still have the effect of the cateye. However,it does not. What i'm trying to say is, I was charged thirty extra dollars for a service that I didn't actually get. Thanks and take care.

Im not sure if things were lost in translation, but she took many pauses to converse and laugh with her coworker throughout the appointment. Even if I weren't in a rush, that is very unprofessional. The main reason I'm writing this review is because of the end result. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think a gel x set should look a week old, right after getting them done. Helen placed the nails a significant amount away from my cuticles. She still put in the work, I still tipped her well for the services, but I was not impressed. There are two head spa beds side by side, tucked into a semi-enclosed space, closed off by a folding screen. I understand that space is at a premium here, but I kinda wish for a little more elbow room, and a completely walled-off room at that. I will give kudos to them for maximizing use out of every corner! I was 30 minutes early for my appointment, and expected to just hang out in one of the mani/pedi chairs, but they went ahead and took me back to the head spa area. Mimi took care of me, absolute sweetheart. I do computer work, am prone to stiff neck/shoulder. Mimi found all my knots, was DETERMINED to work them all out LOL. We had a bit of a language barrier, but she took to Google Translate to communicate with me. She voiced her concern that I would get headaches from the tension, and went back to working out the knots after drying my hair. The salon space was clean and well-lit. The chairs were massage chairs and they're actually decent, better than a lot of salon massage chairs I tried. I was also offered water. The basic pedicure also included quite a bit of different services and that's just basic, and I think it's more than enough. Parking could be challenging because they only have a few spots right outside the salon as the other stalls are reserved for other businesses. Some signs would specify their hours of operation so if I arrive out of those hours I would just park there. Also Sunday street parking is free. Sometimes they would send random texts for 5% off, and also discounts for birthdays. I mean it's not much but better than nothing. Great spot. I paid $75 for my manicure ($25 manicure, $45 gel french tip, $5 nail fix) and my pedicure was $37 for a basic. The new salon is brand new and everything is very clean. Ruby did my pedicure and Alex did my manicure. They were extremely busy while we were there but it seemed like it ran really smoothly. Everyone was pleasant enough but not much talking and it did feel a little rushed at times but also understanding that they were trying to accommodate all 4 of us on short notice. Ruby cut slightly too deep into the side of my left big toe and she apologized but it was very noticeable swollen and painful the next day compared to my other toe so that's not ideal. She was very meticulous with the polish application though! Alex did a great job with my deep french manicure. He was very quick and efficient with putting on an acrylic tip onto my thumb that was shorter than the rest of my nails. He was careful to not have the gel touch my skin and seemed to be the go-to for frenchies. The girl working the front desk didn't seem to be in a good mood. I don't usually mind but she was very short with her responses and not particularly nice or helpful when I asked a few questions regarding the pricing and point system. There is plenty of street parking available and it was easy to find. They're very popular so expect to be a slight wait and it's definitely a more sterile and clinically run salon than a welcoming one.
