Went here with friends, and we all ordered different dishes to share. Most of the comments around the table was that their quality differed from before and some things tasted off. Starting with the most disappointing dish. Oh. The chicken and shrimp pad Thai was such a disappointment. I didn't mind the strange pinkish hue, but the flavor wasn't really there. There was even a slight sweetness. This sweetness didn't enhance the flavors at all. And there were two shrimps. Two. Maybe three since I'm giving them credit that one was hiding underneath the noodles somewhere. Some of the other dishes like the coffee pork or yen ta fo sounded intriguing but were also so so. The coffee pork didn't have strong flavors. I thought the meat itself would be more tender, but it wasn't. I truly didn't get teh yen ta fo. The assortment of tofu, fish ball, pork, squid were a random combination that didn't add to any sort of flavor. To me, they were random ingredients floating in the broth. I think I heard a comment that this version was different. The beef masaman and spicy crispy catfish weren't amazing nor bad. They were just average tasting. The beef curry was basically what it is: beef chunks, carrots, and potatoes. Nothing too unique to report. The catfish was indeed spicy, but I'm not too sure about the crispy part. These dishes were average imo. But certain things got a tad better. The pork from the Chinese broc crispy pork was great as it was super duper crispy, but the Chinese broccoli was very meh. Our friend commented that he has had better versions before and tastier variations in Thailand. The kao cluk kapi wasn't too bad. Though this was a rice dish, the pork belly and Thai sausage were really tasty. The red onion slices were actually delightful in adding some additional flavors and textures. And lastly the saving grace dish: The nam tok beef was really tart and flavorful. The boneless ribeye was so chewy and juicy. Combined with the sticky rice, it was wonderful. I think the nam tok beef was the only solid dish of all the things we ordered. Overall some of the dishes were a hit and some were a flop. Overall, the food was okay.

I felt like the quality has dipped. I've been here before and lately, I came with some friends and ordered a good amount of food but my wife was almost angry about the Pad Thai. She's a Pad Thai nut. It was almost too sour and the color was off. The beef massam curry was the best. I a fan of most thai curries in general. The fried catfish and coffee pork were good also. Everything else was good but didn't really stand out for me. I think we paid $32 per person after splitting the bill. 9 dishes and 7 people so the price was decent. We were all stuffed. At least the decor is pretty and the service is great. Would I come here again? Nah. I belive Tom Puk Puk and Bangkok Street food are better options.

Last night in town, on business and I decided to order delivery (UBER Eats), so I could get some rest before heading to Atlanta Airport and face the long lines. I opted for some appetizers: Squid (Calamari), Fresh Spring Rolls & Chicken Satay. Everything did arrive hot and the sauces that accompanied them was good (seasoned & cooked well). I would definitely order from them again or go to their actual restaurant.

TLDR: Pad Thai was really lacking in flavor and drunken noodle was too salty Used to really like this place but I feel like it's never been as good as the first time I went. The pad thai was really pale and had only a bit of wet sauce at the bottom. At first it just tasted like the noodles itself and a slightly sour(?) taste. I asked for some more sauce and the server was pretty nice about bringing me a small bowl of sauce. It helped a bit but not enough. The drunken noodle here is usually pretty good but today was overly salty. Pretty disappointing to say but I'm not sure if I'll come back for a while.

The food was reasonably priced with extensive menu. The flavors were good but a bit on the salty side. The interior was nice, clean, there's a large covered patio. They also have a full bar. Our server was very welcoming ,very friendly.

Finally got around to checking this place out. They are kicking out some solid food with decent spice levels. Plus sides-the place is cute and well lit and the older gentleman we had as our server was super nice. The AC wasn't set at a comfortable temp and because of windows and the summer heat it was a little toasty...BUT it would be hotter if we were at a hawker stall on the street so on to the food! Chinese broccoli was a little under cooked at the stalk and over cooked at the leaf-pork was super tender and flavorful...and the brothy sauce was salty and light-had the stalks cooked longer and the leaves been tossed in later it would have been a perfect dish...didn't stop us from eating it mind you, but it's something to note. Basil rolls were standard, well made and all the ingredients were crispy, chilled and fresh-zero complaints. The dumplings were house made, but needed some seasoning within the meat mixture-they were pretty bland and the bottoms of them got soggy from being in the liquid at the bottom of the bowl. I wouldn't get them again-but A+ for the effort of making them in-house! Chicken Larb was perfect...I really appreciated the fact that it was minced chicken and not ground chicken. There is a difference in texture and the way the sauce coats the chicken that I can tell the difference in. The sauce was spicy and umami and all the veggies were right at the balance of being crisp but tender from being in the sauce-it's a balance and they got it this time. Isaan Sausage was good, nice ratio of fat to meat, little bit of heat and wasn't dried out. Sometimes the sausage has a tendency to be dry and dense even with all the fat...but this variety was nicely done. Spicy beef was slightly tough after it sat and came to room temp. We still devoured it, but it required some hearty chewing. Other than that little set back, the rest of the dish was delish. Nice heat, umami was there with a hint of sweetness on the front end. Veggies were crisp but tender and we love purple(red) onions on anything. We enjoyed our meal and might find our way back in the future.

THAI-ME TO BE HONEST | Surina Thai was just ok. After the previous restaurant Chom Chom, shut down, Surina took over - maybe because I loved Chom Chom, I was expecting so much more from Surina Thai. We started with some Thai Milk Tea since I was in desperate need of caffeine. We were a group of 4 so we decided to try quite a few dishes. Our favorite was the drunken fried rice, which was flavorful and hearty. Everything else we tried was pretty mid, including the Thai Fried Chicken, the Larb Chicken, the Papaya Salad, the Pot Stickers with Red Curry, the Surina Noodles, and the Hainan Chicken Thai Style. I think maybe my expectations were just too high for food that was mediocre, based on fellow Yelp reviews and ATL Asian Eats shoutouts. I may give them another chance one day, but will probably avoid the dishes I've already tried...

My recent visit was lovely and quiet. Going mid-week during the afternoon can guarantee a quiet lunch peaceful lunch. The green curry was very flavorful with a hint of spice. The crab fried was tasty, seasoned well. I loved the perfect crunch on the shrimp cake, it paired well with the sauce provided. I would visit again to try a different dish and drinks.

I was happy to finally visit the restaurant after driving past it every day on my way home from work. There were only a few diners when I arrived and I was allowed to choose my table. In the warmer months there is an outdoor patio that must be lovely but tonight was cold and I sat indoors by the window. I started with hot jasmine tea which was light and comforting. There is a full bar and a large cocktail menu, but I preferred warm drinks this time. I ordered Kao Moo Dang from the house specialty menu and it was delicious. Pork three ways: fried pork belly, pork sausage, and roasted sliced pork with sweet gravy. There was also a boiled egg and sliced cucumber, and a dish of jalapeno soy sauce, all over white rice. I enjoyed every bite, the flavors and textures were great. Then I was offered dessert: either crème brûlée or mango sticky rice. Well, who wouldn't have the mango sticky rice? It was fantastic. The rice was warm and creamy, the mango soft, sweet, and juicy. Ah! I am glad I stopped for dinner. It certainly was the highlight of my day.

Really good Thai food! I came with a group of friends on a Friday night, and we were seated immediately. We tried a couple of different dishes, and they were all really good. I really liked the pad see ew and pork over rice, but everything was honestly so good. The mango sticky rice was also really delicious, especially the mangos. I would definitely come back for more Thai food here!

Surina Thai is located on the corner of Buford Highway, so it could be easy to miss while driving, but it is a solid casual spot for Thai food. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated with chandeliers, and the staff are friendly and the service is fast. I ordered the Chicken Pad See U and while it tasted good, I felt like the sauce was a little too sweet. My friend and I also split the Crab Angels which were pretty tasty and it also came with a yummy sweet chili sauce. The portion sizes were pretty large as well!

My go-to for Pad Thai. They also have a great Papaya Salad if you like something with a kick. Also love their spring rolls. Was about time I wrote a review. Been going at least once a month for almost two years since I moved to the area. Definitely recommend! read more

The food here was so good. I came with a friend because she recommended it. I ordered the drunken noodles and she ordered the Panang curry with tofu. Both of these dishes were absolutely delicious. I am no expert on Thai food, but I have had plenty of Thai food around Atlanta. The taste in this restaurant is simply delicious. You can taste all the herbs and spices. The noodles were my favorite. Every bite was a burst of flavor. The curry dish with tofu was also good and plan to get that next time. Customer service was friendly, not super attentive but then again there was only one person other than the kitchen staff working the dining area during lunchtime. Surina Thai is great! Authentic Thai Food. Been here few times already. Great Service, and Great Decor as well. Last time; Francis was our server; very friendly and funny guy. Couple of dishes I recommend. Starter: Shrimp Cake, and Spicy Seafood Soup. Rice Dish: Kao Moo - marinated roasted pork over jasmine rice, boiled egg and cucumber topped with sweet house gravy and picked jalapeño soy sauce. Jal Soy Sauce is spicy. Kao Cluk Kapi-Sum it up, it like a Fried Rice.(Jasmine rice stir-fried with shrimp paste and served with sweetened pork belly, Thai sausage, green mango, shredded omelet, red onion, green beans, and chili. Does have pepper in it, so it a little spicy. FYI- When it get to the table; you have to stir all of ingredient together to get all of the great flavors. Noodle Soup: Kuay Jub--Rolled rice noodles in a dark soup with fried tofu, boiled egg, pork intestine, sliced pork, crispy pork topped with cilantro and pepper(VERY TASTY). Entree: Panang- Was really good, does have a kick to it. I am a coffee lover, so top it off with there Thai Coffee. ( To me- just the right about of sweet). These are what I try so far. Came got Surina Thai with a few girlfriends to catch up and eat some Thai food. Loved the atmosphere and felt inviting. Was really impressed at how delicious every single dish was! We started with Egg rolls, Fresh basil rolls & Tom Yung Kung. The soup was light and had the perfect amount of spice, the rolls were super fresh and the dips complimented really well. For our entrees we ordered the Spicy Beef Salad, Chicken Panang & Pad See U. SO yummy. The portions were perfect, staff was super friendly & the food came out quickly. I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for good, authentic Thai food! read more

Came to visit a Thursday evening and was seated right away for a party of 2. Parking: super easy, free parking lot in front of the restaurant with ample parking Restaurant ambiance: Nice, cute place. Well decorated and well lit, loved the light fixtures! Appetizers: Fried squid/calamari - 3.5/5, not the typical calamari I'm used to. These were more "puffy" than crispy. Overall though, cant complain too much because it's fried. Was served with a side of the typical sweet thai chili sauce. Main: Pad thai - 4/5, I loved the presentation when you first get it and the spices are on the side. The food itself was good: had good and ample flavor, with a little sweet and tanginess, some spiciness added in: what you would typically expect from a pad that. but it's just not my favorite Pad thai ever. Still pretty good tho! Drinks: Thai milk tea - 5/5, we had originally gotten the thai ICED tea, thinking it was the typical drink that came with the ombré effect between thai and milk, but it didn't come with the milk/half&half! don't make the same mistake we did! We had apologetically asked the server to change it for us, which he kindly did without hesitation Service: Very friendly service! Server was attentive and kind, even when we ordered the wrong drink. Wow. I am in love with this food. Sometimes certain dishes at Thai restaurants are not balanced flavor wise whether too sweet or too spicy or just bland. Not here. We had the Nam Tok Beef, wonton soup, beef jerky and the Thai Iced tea with lime--very refreshing and not too sweet or heavy like the traditional Thai milk teas. The nam Tok beef is stellar with spice, sour and a tiny hint of sweetness--balanced and delicious. I am beyond satisfied, especially when the prices are reasonable and the ingredients are fresh. read more

Wow wow wow! This place is simply amazing. I've been looking for a good Thai place and this will be my spot! And I already can't wait to go back and try the other dishes. I wish I took more pictures, but the Thai iced tea was AMAZING. Somehow there was no milk but it tasted so creamy and sweet at the same times. The tea flavor was sooooo good. The duck curry and pad see ew were amazing. And the coconut soup was also just perfect. Can't wait to come back. Not to mention...AMAZING SERVICE! Reasonably priced and good sized portions. This Thai restaurant is not as authentic, but I still thought the food was absolutely delicious. I love that they don't use a ton of fish sauce in their dishes! I recommend going early because they ran out of the curry puffs :( The chicken larb was barely spicy. I asked for Thai hot for my pad thai, but they didn't make the dish Thai hot as I asked... instead, they put pepper flakes on the side of my plate. The server was so great, she brought out more pepper flakes for me. The food tasted really sweet, in my opinion. But again, still really good! Parking is a little crazy with compact cars near the entrance. There was a large truck that parked in the compact car area, making it impossible to get out of our car! Staff/service was sooooooo amazing and our server was very attentive. read more

I get takeout from here regularly, and it always hits the spot. Today my wife and I had drunken noodles with beef and massaman curry with chicken and both were delightful. I know I should put half of it in the fridge for lunch tomorrow but it's so hard to stop eating .. so good. read more

Delicious food! We did takeout and it was ready when we got there. Parking is a little tough in that complex but food was amazing and there was a person/desk just for takeout so service was quick....no waiting at the bar! read more

Food was alright. When we came in it was around 3pm and there were no customers besides my boyfriend and I. After being brought out the food by our polite server he never came back to check on us until at the very end when we had already finished our food and the server gave us our check. He did ask us at the very end if everything was alright which it was. The food wasn't anything spectacular and the Thai Tea wasn't the best one we have had but it wasn't bad. We both got curry and thought it was alright. Since we do not live in Chamblee area so the food wasn't so wow that we would drive down here for Thai food. The decor was nice and the foods pretty decent so go ahead and try it out yourself it's just wasn't for us though. read more

The food was ok. Everything was kind of bland to me. They had wayyy too much cabbage in the egg roll, so it just tasted like a roll of cabbage. Lol Out of everything the salad had the most flavor. read more

This is my family's favorite Thai restaurant! All of the food we have tried is delicious. Our favorite dishes are the red curry and especially the drunken noodles with chicken. The service is fast and the ambiance is great for a group. They have a couple long high top tables, small tables or some medium size round tables. I have been to this restaurant on a date, with a small group, and with a large group of 10 people and I always have a great experience! read more

This gem of a restaurant is TWO whole minutes from my apartment right in Chamblee and I've been passing it up for this long; some Thai food connoisseur I am lol. I placed an order for pickup via UberEats about 1pm on a Tuesday, so roughly a 20 min prep time before it was ready for pickup. My brother and I ordered the Panang with tofu, the cashew nut with tofu, and a veggie delight. Upon entering, we were so warmly greeted by an older woman. It was honestly so genuine and that is such an important thing for me when ticking my boxes of first impressions with a new spot. So thank you Surina for that! There might've been maybe two other couples dining in when we arrived, so everything was easy breezy, in and out. The food was magnificent, to say the very least. Panang curries can be hard to nail because sometimes they are too coconut(y) and other times, not enough flavor; but this one was spot on. The cashew nut dish was amazing. I love all things cashew so I am extremely excited to get that again. It had a perfect touch of spice and I personally loved the green onions mixed in. My brother loved his veggie delight; the veggies were fresh and cooked well. All in all, I have to go back to dine in because it was so cute inside! So happy to have found another staple so close to home! read more

This restaurant has been great. The prices are very reasonable for Thai. The staff is helpful. Both items I tried were great and I want to go back again! My sister's fiance recommended this place. i told them I was craving thai and he convinced us that this place was worth the drive. Long story short, he was not wrong. We started with an order of the Kanom Jeeb, which were pork dumplings in a chile-garlic soy sauce. They were delicious, my sister spooned the sauce into her mouth before the waitress could take the plate! I ordered the drunken noodles with beef as my entree. This was hands down the best drunken noodles I have ever had. The flavors were rich and savory, and also had a good amount of fresh veggies. My sister got the Pad Thai, which I ended up eating a quarter of. Delicious, my only complaint is that it could have had more heat. My friend ordered the panang (red curry), every one at the table tried it and loved it! Even my sister who claims to hate curry. The portions are large and the food came out super quick. I will be coming back next time in town, that's for sure! read more

I had the shrimp panang and it was fabulous. My date had the shrimp yellow curry and she loved it as well. We also had the egg rolls for an appetizer and the Thai iced tea with milk. Both very good. It's a big restaurant and super cute. read more

We had a delicious dinner here! We chose to do the dine-in and were so pleased with the experience. The restaurant is very modern, attractive and spotless. Great ambiance. Staff was wearing masks for COVID precautions and we felt like they were taking the precautions seriously. They were a little busy but it was fine. The food was absolutely delicious and arrived at the table mostly quickly. Our server, William, was excellent and made the experience even better because he was so friendly and accurate with the order. He was so awesome. We highly recommend this restaurant. read more

The food is decent, but the service is terrible. It was my first experience there, and I just had my meal there a few minutes ago. It was awful. As I was seated at the table, a waiter brought out the other meal and the Tom Yum soup. Let me just say to you all that the waitress presented the two at the same moment. Sadly, the scorching hot soup spilled over my calf and bag, but the waitress did nothing but stand there, showing no remorse or shame for the mishap. They only want to say "simple sorry" without any emotion; they don't care that it spilled on me. The service was poor and the food was merely okay. It appears that they are not extending a warm greeting to the customers. Furthermore, the base tip amount is excessively large and not relevant with the services provided to customers. Been coming here since they opened, maybe 20 times. The Decor is really nice and I love the outdoor porch area for dinning. The food has never disappointed. The prices are good for most dishes The only thing that has ever been a disappointment is (sometimes the service is lacking.) The last two times my server has been so rude. She has even chosen her own tip amount after taking my credit card. A couple visits ago when I asked where is the tip option. She told me to Just sign now! What??? She gave herself a 20 percent tip which was OK, I usually tip 20 percent, but that is for me to choose. I made the mistake to come here for Mother's day. I wanted to take Mom someplace near me and eat outdoors. The weather was wonderful and we wanted to eat on the porch, which we were able to get a table at. So far so good, till our server came. Once again the blond lady was our server. SO rude!! my Mom even said she must be having a terrible day what's her problem. I may come back but if ever the this Lady is my server I will up and leave no questions asked. And that will be my last time here. read more

Very attentive staff, food was excellent a nd a great value for the amount given. This is how Thai food should taste. Excellent food and most "authentic" I have found in the area. The décor is modern and open not kitsch "Asian" like you see in a lot of restaurants. It was lunch so I went with the excellent drunken noodles! Parking is free but no outside seating was observed. This restaurant is attractive and clean. They have as a very pretty setting on the patio with live plants and vegetables, some of which they cook with, such as the thai pepper that got me. See the pictures for a better understanding. The food is delicious, but trust me, when they say it's hot... it's HOT! I normally can handle hot, but this one lit me up. Stopped in this afternoon for my first visit.....was the only one dining at the mid afternoon hour. Greeted warmly, chose to sit at the bar. Very nice and inviting interior with plenty of space. Decided to try the lemon basil gin/tonic to start. It was VERY lemon forward - lemon took over and muted the other flavors. Next, I tried the pork larb .....it was good, although I missed the mint, and a sizable portion. Plenty to take home for later. Last, I tried the shrimp and chicken pad Thai ......was a bit soupy for my taste. Again, plenty of leftovers to take home. I will give this place another try - maybe in a busier time when the chef and bartender might be there. Would give it 3.5 stars if I could. Photos for proof. read more

However, the portion size is huge and there was a lot of chicken there! I also got a free egg roll which was crispy and tasty with their sweet chili sauce. Overall, my taste buds are my own and this restaurant obviously has the hearts of many local people so I think everyone should support them!

Tried this restaurant for the first time and had a great experience! We ordered the Crispy Tofu, Tom Kha, and Surina Noodles. The tofu was tasty, and the soup was flavorful, even though there was a small mix-up--we received the Tom Kha with tofu instead of chicken. It was still delicious! The presentation of the Tom Kha in the flaming mini hotpot was fun, but I personally would have preferred a regular bowl for convenience. The Surina Noodles were outstanding. I've been here a few times, but after going again recenty, I won't be back. It's just become too Americanized--bland and salty. Like most places these days, it's lost its authenticity. Honestly, just cook at home. read more
