MAKE SURE YOUR FEET ARE CLEAN not stinky and that you have a fresh pair of ski socks on. They will begin by measuring your foot with a sort of computerized MRI and rubber dowels that determine your arch. TELL THEM ALL OF YOUR ISSUES I have a high arch, narrow heel, and my toes often fall asleep in boots. Once measurements are taken they will fit you in a shell and prep it for the foam. About three weeks ago I went into Surefoot because I needed a boot horn. The dude wearing plastic frammed glasses and a dark-billed cap was all smiles until I asked him if they sold this product. Obviously more interested in selling an $800 pair of boots than a $25 boot horn, he told me "No!" in a very surly, abject manner and then ignored me until I left (no, "No we don't have that, but try 'X' down the street." No, "Sorry, we don't carry this obvious boot accessory, but good luck." No anything.) The guy was just plain rude. Skiing at copper today, 5th time on a new pair of boots and was in tons of pain and looking to get my boots heat molded. I got in and waited 30 minutes before even being addressed. I told them my problem and they didn't give me any options to get it fixed, were being rude, told me I was wearing my socks wrong(the way i have been wearing them my whole life and have never had a problem) they then heated up the liners of my boots but didnt give me a full mold and it did nothing to fix it. I purchased yesterday (March 13, 2019) a pair of Swany gloves. I wouldn't have purchased extra marked up gloves, but as my old Swany gave up after many years, I had no choice. I used my new gloves purchased in Surefoot Copper Mountain for 4 hours on the following day (March 14, 2019), and I realized by the end of the day that the suture on the right finger started to open. Nothing major, but that is not reasonable for a new glove. By the way the extra marked up price after taxes is of $165.57. I went back to Surefoot Copper Mountain with the receipt, which indicates that the purchase was done less than 23 hours ago, and they basically said that they are not responsible for whatever happens with gloves, because they don't what I have been doing with the gloves... Net, the told me F.... Y...!!! That is a Swany issue... Thank you my friends from Surefoot Copper Mountain! I desire you the same thing you do with your customers... F.... Y....!!! I bought my boots at the Steamboat location last February, the weekend I got engaged! Spent a better part of around 6 hours letting them tell me the boot wasn't too small!!! My feet were crying and have been until I went to Surefoot at Copper Mountain. These guys were great! Pat Rudolph the Manager was a godsend! I walked in opening day this year, blinded by frustration, and without reading the sign (due to covid) by appointments only... He could have told me to make one and sent me on my way. Pat didn't do that, he genuinely cared about my concerns and literally within, 30 minutes gave me the Bentley of boots! Surefoot has the best science and concept for Ski boots by far, but it only works if your feet are comfortable! Any custom fit boot will need adjustments, and I will never go anywhere else but the Surefoot at Copper Mountain! Pat the Manager was such a class act and made sure I was a priority. That is what I expect when I spend money on my boots! The crew at Copper is hands down the best service I have ever had and I will give my word that if you are looking to have the best boots, fit, customer service and the literally the most epic experience, The Surefoot at Copper Mountain, is hands down the best place I have ever been! Moved over from an old account... Review is from January 2015. I am really surprised to see the two recent reviewers express such dissatisfaction with Surefoot. All of the staff was very friendly and professional with me, and John started off by introducing himself and then using my first name to address me regularly. The process was an exact science it seemed, taking into account foot length, width, arch, etc. John was able to recommend a boot that had similar measurements of my feet, and the right size shell. He knew exactly what was causing the issues I was having, and explained it to me. I am very particular about my feet, and I feel like I bought the right boot because of the expert advice from Suerfoot. I noticed an immediate difference in my comfort and performance. The boots are expensive, but they will last a long time and make my days skiing more enjoyable. read more

The team at Surefoot Copper were Master's at fitting my new boots! Admittedly, my foot is difficult. I have a high instep, my foot is wide, my arch is flat, my toe box and achilles are fairly narrow and through this process I learned that one ankle bone is larger than the other (probably related to having a cast on that foot as an infant). I ski hard and fast and typically like my liners thin and my boots snug (responsive). The guys worked with me to find the right boot and to get them fitted. Be patient, don't expect even custom boots to be perfect right after foaming. Fit your boots at the beginning of your trip so that you can ski in them and try different terrain. Then tweak if necessary. The pounding of bumps feels very different than thigh deep powder where your heels may lift. Maybe you get lucky early on, but feet are weirdly shaped, and they don't necessarily conform to hard plastic. We needed to lift the bed, add some cork and blow out two parts of the boot, but in the end they were just right! read more

Sorted out some recommendations he thought would help and dove right in! I got the foot bed with a foot scan. 15minutes later I was back in my boots getting the liners molded with the beds in. Excellent customer service. Bought boots about a month ago, and got the whole package-orthotic, tweak to the shell, foam liner. The forefoot foam was too tight initially, and after a few failed tweaks, the staff re-foamed a new liner. Now my feet feel great, I have good control on the mountain, and I plan on riding these for as long as a can. I ski hard/frequently, and thought about pulling the trigger on Surefoot for a while, and am glad I have. It is an expensive product, but they do mean it when they work with you to make you happy/satisfied. read more

I have a long history with ski boots. I overpronate and one foot is a full size larger than the other. I have tried different rental boots for 25 years always with problems. I am an intermediate recreational skier who skis 7-14 days a year. About 4 years ago I thought the answer was the new moldable Fisher boot and liner. I purchased a pair of these very expensive boots. I went back to the original boot fitter once and every year since I went to a different bootfitter to try to make them work. At the end of each day skiing I could not even walk back to the condo in these boots because of the pain. My brother is an EMT ski patrol and he told me to try SureFoot years ago and I never listened. I finally got fed up and went into the SureFoot store at Copper Mountain. Patrick the manager came to greet me. The first thing he did was ask me a ton of good questions: how often do you ski, what level, what terrain, and most important what do you want out of your boots( performance or comfort etc...). I told him as a recreational skier for me that comfort was king. I had had enough of the performance moldable boot from Fisher. Over the next 1.5 hours he measured my feet multiple times, picked the best shell for my type of foot and suggested a boot size for the larger foot vs the smaller one. All along the way he explained tradeoffs and what he would recommend. I have to admit I was skeptical considering what I had gone through in the past. He adjusted my skis to the new boots, told me if I had any problems or concerns visit any surefoot store and sent me on my way. I just came in from a full day of skiing(14 runs) and my feet feel great! I did not think it was possible but it is. My only regret is I did not do this 4 years ago. Yes they are expensive but skiing is expensive and probably the most important piece of equipment is your boots. For me it was well worth the price and Patrick made me feel like a valued customer. read more

Hands down the nicest, most helpful staff I have ever encountered in any retail store. Jeremiah, Brennan (?) and everyone else who worked here was wonderful. Between my family of four, we visited this Surefoot location 7-8 times during our week long ski vacation. When we arrived in Colorado I was the only person in the family with Surefoot boots and by the time we left, everyone else had either purchased boots or custom orthotics at the very least, partially because I kept raving about my new boots and how Surefoot would continue to tweak them for me until they were perfect. All of the tweaks to my boots and the new purchases/tweaks to my family members' boots really improved the quality of our ski vacation. By the time we left we were all joking that Surefoot was our home away from home. read more

Definitely as good as it gets. The staff is friendly, professional, and definitely know how to fit boots. Once you have these wonderful boots, the staff will do everything they can to tweak the boots to be perfectly comfortable no matter how many times you return to the shop with a little pinch or the like. I considered buying Surefoot for 8 years before I pulled the trigger. So glad I chose Copper Mountain.....Brendan was awesome, he drove to pick up the right boot for me at Breck instead of trying to sell me something they had in stock and then even stayed late to make sure everything was perfect.
