Great burgers! I met do friends here for lunch, and the smash-style burgers did not disappoint. I ordered the Ogden burger with a single patty. I was very pleased. Both my burger and fries were made fresh to order. The fries are not my preference, but they were good. This place is set up like a market with beverage coolers and shelves with snacks, other food items, household items and even medicines. This place would be a life saver for people visiting Camp North End or those who live in the nearby apartment community. My only complaint is the lack of seating inside. It's not ideal for groups who wish to sit together. My party was able to snag good seating, buy this might not always be the case. There is additional seating outside on the walkway but isn't ideal for cold winter months.

The food was delicious! I had the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. It was truly amazing, I ordered it with a little spice and it was just the right amount. The service was great too, you order at the counter and I totally trusted the teammate with my order, he did not disappoint! There is plenty of outside seating, perfect for people watching at Camp North End. What I would say. 2 sandwiches before tip were $26, without any fries or drinks, that's the only reason I am giving 4 stars. Enjoy the sandwiches and burgers here on your next visit to Camp North end!

Honestly one of the best chicken sandwiches and smash burgers I have had in a while. We got the Retha Mae chicken sandwich in mild spice and it was perfect. Just enough spice for some heat, but not burn your mouth hot. The chicken was super crunchy on the outside but juicy on the inside paired with pickles and surefire sauce was 10/10. The burger was top notch as well. We opted for the classic with 2 patties and came with cheese, pickles and smacked sauce. Full of flavor and just overall one of the best I've had in a while. We will 10000% be coming back for more the next time we are in Charlotte!

Tried the Classic Smash Burger at Surefire, and it was exactly what a smash burger should be--crispy edges, juicy inside, and flavorful. The sear on the patty gave it that perfect crunch, with the melted cheese, and I asked for grilled onions as an addition. The bun was soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together, and the toppings stayed balanced without overpowering the burger itself. It's the kind of burger that disappears way too fast because every bite keeps you going back for the next.. i was legit sad when i finished lol Service was great and the casual vibe makes it a spot I'd definitely come back to when a burger craving hits.

I cam here with my family yesterday to try this restaurant recommended by my sister in law. It's located in Camp Northend. Parking is free and this restaurant has its own storefront. I did not take many pictures of the inside of the restaurant, but it seems like a restaurant, mini warehouse, convenience store. There were boxes stacked with items. I guess that's the "market" side. I was under the impression that it was a restaurant only. There was limited seating inside as well. I know this place is known for its burgers but for some reason I didn't have a craving for one at the time. I ordered the Retha Mae with the Saide sauce which is a hot sauce of some sort and my husband ordered the classic burger. Now about the Saide sauce, the cashier who assisted us was a young woman, who answered our questions, but seemed detached. She offered the Saide sauce as if it's something that came on the sandwich, then proceeded to charge $1 for the sauce. I believe that should be disclosed if an up-charge will be added. We also ordered fries, mambo sauce, and a grilled cheese for my toddler. We gave our name and waited outside. The order took around 10 mins or so (I went back inside and my name was called shortly after). My in laws were told they would be notified via text but weren't. I started off with the fries, which were nice and hot! I used the mambo sauce to dip my fries into and that was delicious! My chicken sandwich had a large chicken breast which I loved and it was very juicy. There was nice flavor and the spice was satisfying as well (it wasn't a burn your mouth hot). The chicken was between a potato bun (awesome!), pickles, Surefire sauce, everything except the coleslaw. I was disappointed because I was looking forward to that! I honestly didn't feel like going back because it was hot and we had to walk over to another part of Camp Northend for shaded seating. All in all my meal was good sans coleslaw and I would probably come back!

Amazing new spot in Camp North End! The place is small but has some seating inside and outside. Service was great! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the original double cheeseburger and the chicken sandwich Sadie style, which means spicy. I also ordered the fries and some extra sauces. The burger was thin and juicy. The edges were crispy and the cheese was nice and melty. It was very flavorful! The chicken sandwich had a nice crunchy breading. I loved the spicy too. It had a little sweetness to it as well which I loved. The fries were well seasoned and super crispy. And the ranch and surefire sauce were both amazing as well!

Been hearing all the hype about this new smash burger establishment, and decided to give them a try. I'm happy I did, I ordered the classic burger, single patty. The burger and the fries were fantastic. I hate when an establishment advertises smashed burgers but you don't get a smashed burger patty with crispy edges. Well that's not the case here, they get your patty nice and thin with those caramelized crispy edges!! Chef's kiss.. The fries were hot fresh and seasoned to perfection. They offer chicken sandwiches, milkshakes etc. Service was nice and quick, it's a bit tight and cluttered on the inside, but they do have outdoor seating. Everything seemed clean, we sat inside and enjoyed our meal!

Cute new smash burger place in camp north end. I think they opened recently when we tried them and all the menu items were not available (shakes). They have burgers, chicken sandwiches and kids grilled cheese and fries. The shakes were not available yet but we saw chocolate, cookies and cream and another flavor. We opted for the Tyson Corner, single patty, one with mambo sauce and one without. The burgers were perfectly cooked with crispy edges and flavor. My only suggestion is to toast or steam the buns as they were cold compared to the hot toppings. Definitely coming back to try another burger and chicken sandwich. The spot also sells some convenience store type items in the order area. A little confusing but perhaps a need they are filling in the community.

So glad I came across a post about Surefire this weekend. We got there around 8pm and were greeted immediately . I liked that they have large photos with descriptions of their sandwiches which made ordering easy. Our food was ready quickly (under 10 minutes). Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. I ordered the Honey Butta Chicken Sandwich and I convinced Hubby to order the Double Odgen. The fries were great (crispy and fresh). I ordered Mambo sauce to dip them in. The chicken sandwich was sooo good! I contemplated leaving the coleslaw on but opted out. But they put a tiny portion in a container and I tried it on my last bite and wasn't disappointed. WHEN I order it again I'll get it the way it comes. Hubby was less impressed with the burger. He thought five guys burger had a better char on the patties. We also ordered a plain tender for our toddler. It's a big tender so one was enough; Unfortunately it had some spice so it was more mild than plain. There are cocktail style tables on the side of the restaurant and about 5 patio tables out front. I would absolutely recommend you come and try their chicken sandwiches!

Newly opened spot in Camp North End with a bodega vibe. Snacks, a cooler with drinks and the most amazing fries with mambo sauce I've ever had! Quick service and I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. Will definitely come back for a meal.

The food is good, I ordered the Ogden double stack burger with the seasoned French fries. The staff was lively and friendly and the interior is small but its a really chill vibe. Parking is easy which makes hanging out a breeze. They have a variety of drinks that lean into Pepsi.

The ordering and payment process was easy. I was solo so I took a seat at the bar area to eat. Sandwich looked good when I unwrapped it, large slices of toasted bread with fresh lettuce and tomato. The strangest thing was, on the left side of the sandwich were several slices of deli turkey rolled up. On the right side of the sandwich were several slices of deli ham rolled up. I hadn't seen a sandwich made like that before. It felt like half of a turkey sandwich and half of a ham sandwich as opposed to a ham and turkey sandwich. Was it bad? Definitely not. I waffled between a 3 and a 4 star for this one but felt generous because, overall, I liked the vibe of the place.

Located along N Tryon St a little bit past the popular Camp Northend development you'll find this gem. When I moved to the NoDa neighborhood from Southend, I found myself missing the fried chicken you could get at the Shell gas station. Luckily I did some online research and came across some great reviews for this spot! It's take out only with just a small waiting room and an order counter but it's well worth any wait, the fried chicken comes out so fresh! They are inexpensive with great food which is something that is becoming increasingly hard to find. My last order I was able to get two jumbo wings along with a roll and French fries for under $10.00. They have a lot more than just fried chicken though. Burgers, hotdogs, fish sandwiches, and even subs and gyros. Not to mention they offer some home style breakfast that is hard to beat. Don't be out off by the location or the outside appearance, this place is fantastic.

I'm not someone who complains just to complain because I know every restaurant can have an off day, but this breakfast honestly missed the mark. The home fries are usually my favorite part of the meal, but today they were burnt, overly hard, and tasted old like they had been sitting for a while before being served. The eggs were extremely dry and overcooked to the point where they were hard to enjoy. The sausage was the biggest disappointment though. It was so hard and tough that it honestly felt like biting into a hockey puck or a hard disc instead of breakfast sausage. What makes this frustrating is that I keep coming back because the food is usually fresh, flavorful, and worth spending money on. Consistency matters, especially for loyal customers who order regularly. I'm leaving this review because I'd rather see the quality get back to where it normally is instead of just staying quiet and going somewhere else. I know the kitchen can do better because I've had plenty of great meals from here before. Hopefully this was just a bad day and not the start of the food quality going downhill. I'll still give it another chance because I've had good experiences overall, but today's breakfast definitely was not up to the standard I'm used to from Graham Street Grill.

I wouldn't say Brooks makes the city's 'best burger' (much less 'the World's,' as the sign claims), but its homemade goodness will remind you of simpler days, when it was a lot easier to find reliably tasty comfort food at a reasonable price. As a San Francisco Bay Area foodie who's been steadily eating my way through Charlotte, I had…read morebookmarked Lee's Sandwiches and was excited to finally give it a try--and overall, it did not disappoint. The concept is refreshingly simple: a straightforward menu of banh mi sandwiches, summer rolls, chips, and prepared foods ready to go. They also offer beer on tap, traditional Vietnamese iced coffee and tea, and fresh fruit smoothies. No frills--just solid, approachable Vietnamese fare. I ordered the #8 Chinese barbecue (char siu) banh mi and requested light pâté and extra vegetables. The sandwich was made to order and came out quickly. One of the owners kindly let me know that pâté typically isn't included on that particular sandwich and didn't charge me for it, which I appreciated. The sandwich itself was good, reasonably priced (around $8-9), and filling. I also ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee, which delivered exactly the caffeine kick I was looking for. It wasn't overly sweet, had beautifully crushed ice, and came with a proper lid--not the plastic film seal you sometimes see at boba shops. Combined, the sandwich and coffee came to about $15, which felt like a great value. The interior is charming and thoughtfully designed. There's a small tuk-tuk display with retail items, traditional Vietnamese decor like bamboo hats on the walls, and even a seating area with low stools that gives a nod to the street-side dining style you'd find in Vietnam. I also loved the creative touch of repurposed Café Du Monde coffee cans holding napkins and chopsticks--simple, clever, and memorable. One small note for authenticity seekers: as someone who grew up with traditional Vietnamese cuisine, I've been searching for the classic old-school imperial rolls made with rice paper that fries up bubbly, crispy, and slightly chewy. The owner confirmed what I've been noticing--that many restaurants in the Charlotte area adapt recipes to American tastes, so that particular style is harder to find here. It wasn't a dealbreaker, just an interesting cultural observation. For my personal taste, the char siu wasn't quite as rich or fatty as the Chinese barbecue versions I'm used to, and the pâté had a slightly bitter note. Next time, I'll likely try the lemongrass pork banh mi and skip the pâté altogether. Insider tip: This is a great spot for a quick, affordable lunch with authentic flavors and fast service. The iced coffee alone is worth the visit. Overall, a cute, well-run neighborhood shop with solid value, friendly service, and a menu that does a few things well. I'll definitely be back to continue exploring the offerings.
