I give this business an A+. I am very satisfied with them as mechanics, and as personable people.
I was referred to Sure Start from my brother-in-law. We have a 2011 Chevy Equinox LTZ. Both catalytic converters had gone bad, and when driving, it sounded like it had off road tires on it. Anyway, we took care of the rear catalytic converter ourself. The front one however, was a doozy. In the process of trying to get to the front one ourselves, we realized our o2 sensor was bad also. We could NOT get it off. We tried for over a week. We had 4 different people try, we even used PB Blaster, to no avail. So we finally decided to take it somewhere. We called 4-5 places asking if they would work on it. We told them we tried to do the repairs ourself, so we have everything needed to do the repairs,, but ran into problems. Not one of them would do it. Their reason is because they couldn't buy the parts from whoever they get it from, therefore could not charge us that price. So, we finally got a break when our brother-in-law just got his vehicle back from Sure Start and told us that Sherman is reasonable. We called and spoke with Sherman, told him the situation, that we already have the parts but could not finish the repairs ourself. He said bring it up by 7:30 a.m. and we'll get it done. I brought it up there at 7:30 a.m. the following morning and told them I needed the front catalytic converter put on, and the car sounded like it had off road tires put on it so could he look at that. He told me it was probably a wheel bearing. I also asked if he could look into why my air bag light was staying on. The next day, I called and asked about the status of my car, and he said it's done, come on by and pick it up. So, we get there and he told us what he did. Another mechanic wanted to show us why we couldn't get the o2 sensor off. Whoever put it on before, or took it out for other repairs, cross threaded it when they put it back. He told us we would not have been able to get it off without a pneumatic gun. They fixed my catalytic converter, my wheel bearing, o2 sensor, and printed out the codes for me on why my air bag light was staying on. I highly recommend Sure Start for your automotive needs. read more
