The spicy pork was delicious and my kids devoured the soy garlic chicken. It also came with soup options and korean noodles. The food came out promptly with little wait time and whenever we needed something the servers were available to help. When the owner arrived he greeted all the tables and definitely showed his value for customer service. Little strip mall spot in Abington, Pennsylvania. Walking in, I wasn't impressed by the ambiance of this place. With the floor being greasy and slippery, I was weirded out. Headed to the bathroom, it was very tricky, but the floor was not wet. As we sat down we ordered set A with a table of 7. Quality of the meats was alright with a lack of staff help throughout the service. We would order stuff but would be forgotten from the staff or would have a double order. My coworkers and I came here, me being the only korean I was used to cooking on the grill for korean bbq. Our waitress didn't really come around too much since I took over the grilling so I took a star off because my table needed water but she didn't really come around. Other than that, the meats were delicious and of typical ayce quality. It is ayce Sunday through Thursday, just ask for it. Couldn't try the sushi bar because it was closed when we went but it sounded good. Excellent Korean food--they really do a great job, except for the Pomegranate Soju which was so bad I can't even summon a clever comparison to warm koolaid or dog pee. Friday evening dinner, ended up here as we were in the mood for something different. Sat at a BBQ table but didnt take that route. Points earned for warming our bottle of Sake Started off with some Seaweed Salad and Tuna Sushi for apps. Both were passable, we've had better and worse. Main dishes were Bibimpap Bugogi for myself. Bibimpap Seafood for the better half while surly teen had a couple of rolls. They also threw out a plate with sides which included kimchi (on the mild side but good taste), eggplant, sweet pumpkin and something else that was gone before I got to try it. My bowl was pretty good. Seafood bowl got a thumbs up and the Sushi rolls vanished fast. Taste and portions all passed with flying colors. Unfortunately Surah has the some of the same hiccups that dog most Asian places. Drinks come out warm, and they're stingy on the ice. Server failed to check in halfway thru or offer refills. Music was a Maroon5 CD on replay (no kidding). Tweak the shortcomings and this place can rise to the very good/excellent level. First time going in over a year. Quality of food and service has noticeably gone down. Bibimbap ingredients were clearly not the norm, as if they ran out of the normal components. Tofu soup was excessively greasy. Very slow service all around; had to ask several times for meat and drink refills. I called yesterday to ask price for soondae. Whoever got the phone told me that regular soondae is $10.95 and modum soondae is $24.95. When I ordered takeout today, they charged me $42.95 for two set of regular soondae which is really expensive. Who charges regular soondae for $19.95? That is toooooo expensive. This place has really gone downhill in the past year. Service was horrible even though we were the only customers there. Building is run down and air conditioning not working. They had fans running and attempted to open the door to let air in. Bathrooms disgusting... sink knob fell off and no locks on doors. Our first waitress was so lazy. We asked multiple times for refills on water, meat, rice, etc. and never saw her again. Went to the bathroom to find her playing with her hair and putting on makeup. She left without washing her hands. They have Hispanic help who are super nice, but don't understand English and motioned to wait for the waitress. Meat is mediocre, not seasoned well and no dip station. It was the worst experience for being charged closed to $40/ person. This place is okay. not great but not bad. Option A is the go to option. It's 30 but comes with more meats than you'd find on an AYCE option but includes ur typical stews. The meat is eatable, nothing to brag home about but its more about quantity than quality at buffets. The service needs work. Most of the people who work there are super young. They dont seem too organized and need a better relay system. It seems the waiters wait all the tables rather than having servers be responsible for areas. This place has some of the best kbbq I've ever had. My family and I did the kbbq all-you-can-eat option and we definitely got our money's worth. The banchan could use some improvement but overall the food was very good. My personal favorite were the bulgogi and miso pork belly. My boyfriend and I eat A LOT of Korean food. He even grew up in a Korean household. We were excited to try a new place after trying other delicious Korean in the area. The food was really, really bad. He ordered the Chicken Teriyaki. Although his chicken was cooked well, it was drowning in sauce. I had the Bibimbap. The rice was good, as were the zucchini and carrots. However, the mushrooms, bean sprouts, purple cabbage, and egg were gross. The egg honestly tasted as if it might have been expired. The side dishes (we call it banchan) were straight up icky. The kimchi tasted like straight vinegar. The seaweed was REALLY fishy. The macaroni salad was all mayonnaise. Fish cakes were discolored. Tofu was insanely crumbly and oddly cooked. My boyfriend is a great eater, and usually will ask for seconds of banchan. He couldn't even choke down the kimchi, which is his favorite dish. Even the miso soup had really gross, crumbly tofu in it and the broth tasted old. Needless to say, we just wanted to leave the entire time we were there. I would give the place one star, but the waiter was really friendly and made sure we had water and checked in frequently. However, the food was a disaster and made us both feel sick. read more

I eat here with friends quite often. The food and service has been great each time. Once or twice, the grills were not working, but they changed them out quickly. Coming from Northern NJ where there are a plethora of KBBQ/AYCE KBBQ spots, I thought the food was ok. Not excellent but not bad. Three rather than four stars is mainly for service.. seems like the place is understaffed by at least two people. The front desk and manager? (it seems like) are running around taking orders and serving which was a bit hectic. There is also no waiter allocated to a certain table so you have to just call whoever walks by. The great thing was they have special buy 2 get 1 free galbi(marinated beef rib), well we order it and it was amazing. Really filling, also the korean side dishes was really great. From kimchi to sweet pumpkin purée. I ordered 4 pieces sushi and 2 roll, They both really good but the unforgettable roll was the best one. This place has awesome decor and I really enjoyed it. Absolutely wonderful experience. The AYCE Korean BBQ is what we ordered, and we were not disappointed. For a party of 2 they allowed us to order 4 items at a time, which I thought was very generous. They gave us large portions of each selection, and were very attentive throughout our meal. They even switched out our grill grate several times, which I didn't expect. We were offered a sample of their mango soju on the house, and it was so delicious that we ordered our own bottle. The highlight of the meal was the beef bulgogi, but I also recommend the spicy pork belly and the beef short ribs.
