    LA Galbi

Stopped here while going up the 476. It's about a five minute drive from the highway, but we thought it was definitely worth it. We were quickly seated, and there was only one other party there. Our server was very patient with us and checked on us a few times since we were split on what to get. We decided to start with the fried Mandu and the LA Galbi to split since our server said it was a portion for one person. It was definitely enough for the two of us! Food came out super fast, everything was juicy, fresh, and delicious. The Galbi portion was generous and worth the 30$ price tag. Side dishes were also delicious, and we got complimentary watermelon at the end of our meal (also delicious). We are jealous of the nearby residents because they live so close to this place. Stop by if you're ever nearby because this place is the real deal!

OMG! My dad and I came here for a traditional Korean dinner and this was absolutely delicious. The staff was super friendly. The restaurant feels like you're in a Korean kitchen / living room being hosted by a family proud of their authentic food. We ordered the black bean noodle dish and a hot stone fried rice dish that has soooo many delicious vegetables and a fried egg on it. It was SO good. The rice was crispy and it all mixed up so well. Also, the waitress brought us complimentary dessert and lots of little side dishes. I can't wait to go back!

Third time here within a week--that's how much I love this place. Everything is perfect, from food, to atmosphere, and to service. It's officially my favorite Korean place.

The staff is super nice and hospitable. Michelle, daughter of owners is the best! I liked the extra tripe and cartridge knuckles in the salleungtang. The kalbi tang did not disappoint. The sashimi was super fresh. There is a karaoke banquet room. We need a Korean restaurant like this in DelCo!

Delicious food, great service. Their small appetizer was really good. Usually I'm not a big fan of kimchi but they're kimchi was really good! Sashimi was nice and fresh. Dumplings were very juicy and meaty. Green onion pancake could be a little bit more crispier overall still tasty! The short rib was very delicious and juicy!

"I was craving donkatsu because of the Korean drama I watched. This place is perfect for a traditional ambiance."

I'm Korean, so I definitely know Korean food... and this place does it well! The owners are super friendly and the food is delicious! I appreciate that even though we ordered takeout, our meal still came with side dishes (banchan), including miso soup and kimchi. I like Kori because they not only have Korean food, but also Japanese (sushi) and Chinese (well, Korean/Chinese fusion dishes like tangsuyuk and fried rice). We ordered fried dumplings (mandu), tangsuyuk (crispy fried sweet & sour pork), galbi, bulgogi, shrimp fried rice, and sushi (unagi/eel, hamachi yellowtail, salmon, and spicy tuna dragon roll). I really enjoyed the sushi, but the Korean food is where this place shines. It's important to note that the restaurant is BYOB and they have a surcharge for credit card use, so bring alcohol and cash! I highly recommend Kori! To note: they also serve breakfast!

We've been here multiple times! The menu is not as large as other Korean places but they have the favorites. We enjoy the scallion pancake, it has a lot of seafood besides the scallion and it's nice and crispy. They don't have true bbq grills like others. They bring out a hot plate and grill pan. I don't really like cooking at the table, so I don't mind if they cook the bbq in the kitchen. Especially since we have our toddler with us at the table. They give us each our own banchan dish (in the picture it is the 3 little dishes in the vertical plate. We recently ordered the galbi and pork belly. Galbi is very tender and flavorful. They also serve breakfast! The menu is very limited compared to diners but they have the standard fare. The French toast is very good! The people who are there Sunday mornings always greet us and make me daughter her own pancake/French toast for free. They are very nice. Note, the woman who takes our order also cooks the food, so the food does take a little longer to come out but you know it's cooked to order. I kinda didn't want to tell people about the breakfast because I want this place all to myself!

A not bad option in the area for Korean food. They have nice bento boxes and good bulgogi.

Service was good but food was average. Korean fried chicken appetizer was not great and tastes more like teriyaki sauce on chicken nuggets.

Michael, the manager, always greets us with a smile, and sometimes we even get lucky enough to have him as our server. I genuinely don't think I've ever seen this guy have a bad day. He's professional, welcoming, funny, and somehow makes every visit feel personal. Gin is also amazing, we absolutely love getting him as our waiter. Honestly though, we've never had a bad experience with any member of the staff. Everyone there is friendly and attentive, and you can tell they truly care about their customers. For years, this has been the ONLY restaurant my mom consistently wants to go to. We use way too much sauce, accidentally burn half our food, and still somehow have the best time every single visit. The atmosphere is just that good. And the food? Absolutely top tier. The meats, seafood, and vegetables are always fresh. The Thai Tom Yum broth is my personal favorite and never disappoints. My mom is obsessed with the KPot short rib, and honestly, I can see why, it's amazing. I'm hooked on the sweet and spicy sauce with the garlic shrimp. Every time I tell someone about this place, I hype it up with the same excitement because it truly deserves it. If you've never been to KPot Franklin Mills, just GO. I swear you will not be disappointed.

If you've been to an Hmart, BornGa is basically the Hmart food court but its own independent restaurant, and that's not a bad thing. The menu is mostly made up of Korean soups and noodles, and I got myself a seolleongtang (ox bone soup). Really good among the seolleongtangs I've had, with a soothing beef flavor, a good amount of boneless meat that was easy to eat, and surprisingly some noodles in the soup along with the usual cup of rice. You do have to add salt as is usual for this dish, and there is a jar on every table. The highlight though was perhaps the only non-soup/noodle dish, the tonkatsu. My partner got it and it was HUGE, literally the size of your face. Perfectly crispy with a really nice sauce, no notes on the katsu itself. We did wish it came with more rice and the side salad, as the portions of those felt too small compared to the enormous katsu. However, there is complimentary and UNLIMITED kimchi (both the usual cabbage kimchi and radish kimchi) that you can serve yourself from a fridge, which is a great accompaniment to any meal. Just be reasonable and considerate with it, I'd hate for them to take it away because someone ruins it for the rest of us. Both dishes along with plenty of kimchi were incredibly filling, and every dish on the menu is a flat $16.99 (plus since it's counter-serve, no pressure to tip). All in all, BornGa is not the kind of Korean place that gives you a whole royal spread of banchan or piles of meat from the grill. But it's a great spot if you know what you're getting into - casual but affordable Korean comfort food.
