We went here for a cooking class for New York Steakhouse. They had the tables set up for 4, 2 facing 2. Each table shared the cooking and prepping for the meal as well as share the food portions. The food was amazing and we had plenty of time prep, cook and eat in our time. They do let you bring wine to enjoy during the class and have some to purchase as well. What I will say is there wasn't much to do cooking wise. The crème brûlée was started in the beginning of class and they had 2 volunteers do some of that while the rest watched. Another part of the food prep was blanching the kale which they did while they had us walk around the store for a break. It was less cooking than I would've thought because you have to share the prep and cooking between 4 people and the instructor did a lot for us as well. I did enjoy the experience overall!

Attended our first cooking class and had a great time. Wonderful instructors and we had hands on experience making pasta which was new for us. As an attendee of the class you receive 10% off at the store or $10 off a future booking of another class which is a wonderful perk for a fun couple hours of cooking.

This review is based on the Sur La Table cooking classes. I'd been wanting to do a cooking class for a while, and ended up booking the surf and turf course. You receive a printed out recipe for every course that you do. They had fruit infused water, but you can bring your own drinks which is highly recommended. They had glasses you can use for your wine. The tables each had spaces for 4 people. They aren't assigned, so when you walk in, you can choose where to sit. Usually people come in 2s and cook with another pair. It wasn't as hands on as I thought because all 4 people share the responsibility of making the meal. You also all share the food that you cook. The steak was the best steak I had ever prepared. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. The side was just potatoes, and there weren't any green veggies or anything with it. So, that was a bit disappointing. We also didn't prepare the dessert-- that was already prepared by the chefs. But, overall experience was great! Note that there weren't any seats for you to sit down, so you stand the entire time. I'm quite tall & the table was shorter than I'd usually prepare food with, so it wasn't always the most comfortable.

I had made a previous review for a Sur La Table class at the Cincinnati location. While the food and experience was fun, our instructor kinda killed the vibe. I was curious how it would compare to my experience at Easton for a different class. This one was more fun! Our instructor was polite, patient, and helpful. She wasn't snooty or rude if you asked questions or weren't very good at a skill such as cutting. At this class, they let us know we could walk across the street and grab wine from the neighboring restaurants if we would like. I thought that was a great idea and cool they allowed it! We made steak, salad, and potatoes. Very fun and such a good date idea.

So much for every cooking need

I had such high hopes for this store for many reasons, but mainly the price. I have been waiting to…read morepost this review until the process was entirely over so that I could recount the entire event. I'll start at the very beginning when I decided that I was going to purchase a couch and went into the store to look at their selection. I stopped in on Memorial weekend since I knew that if I was going to make such a large purchase, I would rather do it on a weekend when there was a sale. I walked around the store for about an hour, testing the couches, taking pictures, and trying to find the one for me. During this time, not one employee asked me if I needed help, while I could clearly see them all staring at me. I don't want to assume why they did not help me, but it did feel like it was due to my age and appearance since they were quick to help the older couples that fit the store's demographic more accurately. I finally got an employee to help me, and she was very kind. I decided on the Wellington Sectional in the color Pearl. This was a special order since I got a custom color. I came back the next day with my mom to get her opinion and make sure I did not forget to ask any important questions before I made the purchase. Part of the Memorial sale required me to open a credit card, and this is where the trouble truly begins. Half of the couch was to be put on the credit card at the time of purchase, and then the other half at delivery. It was very frustrating opening the card since none of the employees truly seemed to know how their credit card system actually worked. They could not tell me if interest started accruing before or after delivery or any of the other questions that I asked. They told me that the couch was estimated to be delivered in November. I later get an email several months later saying that it was being delayed until the beginning of October, which as you can imagine was confusing. I decided to call and get an answer. Trying to get ahold of customer service has been nothing short of exhausting and unhelpful. They could not tell me why that email was sent and truly had no idea when to expect the couch. This became a real issue for me, since I had made arrangements for my current couch to be given to a friend based on their delivery estimate. Finally weeks later, I get an email saying that now it will be delivered in December. So, I have given my couch away, and will not have one until December. Once again, customer service and the furniture team had no idea what was happening and could not provide me any assistance and when they said they resolved the issue, it was never solved. This becomes a theme. Finally, I do receive the notification I can get my couch. I try to schedule delivery and I am told there is a hold on my account. This can't be since I pay my card every month and have never missed a payment. I call once again. They tell me that my credit card is expired. Now, how can a credit card opened in May expire in less than 6 months. So, once again, I have to figure the issue out myself for customer service. They tell me it is resolved and I can schedule delivery. A week goes by, there is still a hold. I call back and repeat this process. Turns out, the last woman didn't release the hold at all. Finally, the woman named Emily fixes my account after 3 tries and we schedule delivery. Besides the actual couch issues and customer service issues. There were also issues with me receiving my rewards that I was promised from the memorial weekend sale. Not only did they not upload to my account, once I called to have them added, they expired before I even received my couch. They send them to you in separate increments so that you cannot use them to purchase one large item. This sounds petty but after all of the hurdles, I was extremely irritated by this. I finally picked something out on the last day so that they did not go to waste and tried to have it shipped to my home, and shipping was $35, absolutely ridiculous. That was a site wide shipping price for small items. Then, my second round of points were not added, once again. Although, the couch I received is good quality and I am glad that I have it, I would NEVER purchase from this company again. It was not worth the several months of headache and acting as my own customer service agent. They knew they did wrong since they refunded shipping fees, but when you are paying over $3000 for a couch, you expect exceptional customer service and treatment. That is far from what I received.

I always assumed for some reason that Quinci Wmporium was a kitchen and housewares store; I…read morerealized I was wrong when I saw a posting somewhere from (I believe it was) Columbus Food Adventures talking about there Friday happy hour special. Intrigued (I'm infatuated with places that offer quaint happy hour deals), I quickly bookmarked Quinci, and had been wanting to try their offerings ever since. I follow QE on Insta, and I was completely engulfed in a picture they posted of their current Spring Quiche ANNNNNND the Sicilian Lemon pie. I started salivating immediately, and knew I had the try it. Also, with it being Easter weekend, what better items to show up with at the family table. Yeah, go ahead, I scored on this find. Deborah looks to run the front of house, as she's the lady I kept contact with via the phone to place and pick up my order. She was so polite. She was running the show when I arrived to pick up my goodies and was very thankful for my business. So, Gwen, did you like the quiche and pie? Uhmmmm, let me think ab- YES!!! So fluffing good, both. The quiche was not hot, and Deborah gave verbal recommendations for how to serve it if we wanted it warm; we warmed it in the oven, dear me, it was SO GOOD! I forget the exact components of this pastry, but it had plenty of eeg, spring veggies, it was incredibly decadent! I highly recommend you pay attention to their Insta page for any and all seasonal offerings, then buy one for yourself, and one for me. Thank me later. The Sicilian Lemon pie was enveloped with a flaky, but solid pastry crust - a great dessert to end the meal. Fresh lemon and zest - I can totally tell the difference between the two, and this sweet sensation was for sure the real deal! Fair warning, this was quite rich, and one piece was plenty. Sharing it with the fam and friends was the perfect solution. I was told - a year or so back, they have a Friday happy hour special for $10 that involved a charcuterie board and wine, so damn straight I need to go back to QE and check this out!

I would give The Granite Guy 10 stars if Yelp would let me…read more.. We had a fantastic experience, and would never - ever - work with anyone else again. We've even referred friends + relatives to them (high praise). Our salesman Chad Schirtzinger, his sales manager Chrissy Boasetti, and their fabrication + installation manager Toney Curry were all wonderful to work with - knowledgeable, professional, fair, reasonable, and genuinely nice. They have a big selection of slabs, and a huge room of remnants they can fabricate for smaller jobs, too. We weren't planning to, but found a rem to upgrade the countertop in a half-bath, too. This install was big and challenging - it took 3 huge slabs of matching Quartzite for a giant island and a full-height wall backsplash behind the stove. It took 8 strong men to carry and set the big island slab - I promise we were holding our breath the whole time they were carrying it in. There were a few small hiccups - that's going to happen with a big and complicated job like this. They fixed everything to our satisfaction - no hesitation, no complaints, no problem - they consistently "did the right thing" (which is refreshing and somewhat unusual these days). We kept changing our minds in the design process, and they handled our ideas and frequent changes with expert guidance, kindness and grace. AND... because hard surfaces aren't cheap, and Quartzite is quite expensive (2.5x-3x the cost of granite) - their prices were fair, fair, fair. They were fully 1/3 cheaper than another well-known granite fabricator I've spent a LOT of money with in the past (and never will again). The Granite Guy's prices were fair and reasonable for what we got. I cannot say this strongly enough - we recommend The Granite Guy 100%. 1,000%. 10,000%. Our customer experience with them was awesome and what you'd hope for, their prices were fair, the people are awesome, and we got exactly what we wanted at a price that didn't feel like we were being ripped off (if I show you the quote we got from "those other guys", you'll understand what I mean). This project transformed our kitchen, and our entire home. I've attached pix - check them out. Everyone loves our kitchen now. Thank you, The Granite Guy - you're a classy company full of classy people who understand customer service for a big, scary, expensive project. We loved working with your team, and love the results every time we walk into our kitchen...!!!
