I enjoy shopping at William Sonoma. First I worked with Ashley buying a combination microwave, air fryer and convection oven. She was so helpful and fun to talk to. The oven was huge and heavy. My husband and I appreciated Ashley bringing it out to pickup parking and loading it into our car. I used the oven and hated it. The store made the return easy. I called to let them know I was returning the oven, and Janice told me to call from the pickup area. Craig was down a few minutes after I got there to unload the oven, and he was very nice too. When I went into the store with my receipt to get the refund, Beth asked me why I disliked the combination oven and showed me a stand-alone air fryer that would be a better fit for me. I ordered a Shun Knife set 01/29/2022 - promised a delivery date of 03/05/2022 by instore employee and via email. It had since been pushed to backorder and the delivery Date has moved over 4 times! It is approaching the last known expected delivery date and I havnt received an update so I decide to call in to confirm that it didn't get pushed back again and just not communicated to me(the customer). Turns out, it did get pushed back and uncommunicated- when? 09/2022 is the "new expected delivery date" with no guarantee it will be filled then ofcourse. I repeated to the representative the date provided to me as I didn't think I understood her correctly seeing how it was so far out in the future - she responds "yup, I can always cancel it. Want me to do that instead?" Is this seriously how you do business? Leave a customer hanging on a 1.3k order that got pushed back 4+ times and then the only recommendation at that point to just get it over with is to suggest canceling it with a tone of being fed up with their job? This order cost 1.3k and I understand alot of companies are having manufacturing issues but my experience here is nothing more than pure neglect to be transparent with the customer from the start of the process. There is NO way a delivery date was given to me of 03/05/2022 and it's been pushed back to 09/2022..It was never expected to make it here that soon at all. Just trying to make a sale. Worst retail experience I have had in a long time and they still refuse to address the customer in a manner appropriate to the situation, which should be apologetic and providing additional details on the process they are in front of as a company and being honest right out the gate. Not indefinitely pushing an order back month after month just to hang on to a sale when the customer could have been serviced with an item in stock in-store or shopped somewhere else. It's selfish of the corporation and sales team to keep such details from a paying customer. If there were issues with manufacturing and logistics then that should have been discussed up front and maybe the pressures of every customer involved as well as your manufacturing/logistics team could have avoided headaches and also limited backorders which now date out to the end of the year. If throughput was an issue then maybe limit or pause orders once known so they can catch up. Not allow customers to order an item thats not backordered and then move them to backorder 2 days prior to the delivery date and tell then you can cancel it after they have received 4 emails of the date moving back 3 weeks at a time with no guarantee or detailed update on what exactly is happening Terrible service and until they make this right I will continue to advise against shopping at this place because if they don't have it in stock, you could be waiting over 9-12 months for your order to be filled, they will promise you a much closer date though and just leave you hanging waiting on it until they decide to email you a new date once it gets close to the initial delivery date, then recycle that exact process until you get as frustrated as I am and immediately offer to cancel it after you've waited for months without acknowledging fault for failures on their backend not disclosed to the customer up front when purchase was made nor even after the 5th times it's been pushed back..just a "I can cancel it for you right now, want me to do that?" The high end culinary store in Polaris Mall is one of the two Williams Sonoma locations in Columbus (the other being at Easton). I am a kitchen-things-aholic and can't get enough of this store. William Sonoma carries everything from cookware, bakeware and linens to gourmet foods, small electrics and a vast array of cooking utensils. The service at this particular location is fabulous, mostly because the folks who work here love cooking and believe in the products they sell. Plus, they know the products inside out and can make expert suggestions. It's low pressure shopping. If you are in the market for a big ticket item, like a Kitchen Aid mixer, Wusthof knife block or All Clad pots and pans, it makes a lot of sense to shop at a store that stands 100% behind it's products... you can't beat the lifetime warranty William Sonoma offers on top of the manufacturers warranty. William Sonoma also offers various in-store cooking and technique demonstrations free to those who sign up in advance. Check with the store to see what they have going on, especially around the holidays. I've attended pie making, side dish and turkey-carving classes around Thanksgiving. Quite often, they have free samples of featured food products along with recipes and cooking tips. If you don't see something you need, just ask as many items can be special ordered or are carried in only the catalogue or via internet. I'm suddenly in the mood to go shopping! read more

Great store, great products and excellent service. They also have a great selection of Clearance items. It seems that they have everything that you could possibly use in a kitchen. I love the fact that they have samples. They always have classes. If you order an item it's relatively a quick turn around. If you call their customer service it isn't always the best. I always like popping in here to see what new amazing who would have this in their kitchen anyway gadget they have and to sample whatever goodies they may have cooking/bubbling on their stove. Staff has always been pretty good but this time they really impressed me. I called wanting a special apple peeler/corer and the salesperson said she would put one on hold for me until I got there as I didn't want to drive all the way over to Easton. A few minutes after hanging up she called me back apologizing that the computer said they had it in stock but she couldn't find any in the back thus saving me a trip there. Now that is what I'm talking about as far as customer service! read more

This Williams Sonoma is better than the one at Easton. It seems better appointed and the staff seems friendlier. Whenever they are out of something at the Easton store, this one seems to have it. Really, I should just stop going to the Easton location and come right here. The drawback is that it is a good trek from where I live. Not its fault, but it still isn't the most convenient location for me. read more

Just a warning to be very, wary of their wedding registry! We ordered a knife set for a friends daughter for her wedding. She had registered with WS, and the ordering/shipping process was seamless. Sadly, the wedding was cancelled and the problem began. The family tried for weeks to get an answer about returning the gift (they don't live near a WS) and were told the gift wasn't returnable. We intervened and they were sent a shipping label link that wouldn't print, so they returned the item in person, to the Polaris store, received a receipt, and sent us a copy. That was over a month ago, and we have yet to receive a refund to our card. When we contacted them, their response was that the receipt "didn't have enough information on it, and they have no record of the item being returned to stock!" We requested filing a theft report, because something clearly went awry once the item was returned, and we have been waiting almost a week for a response. It's looking more and more like we are going to be out $100. Never again. read more
