The one line winds you around and around until you stop at a place where you wait for one of the cashiers to call out that you are next. True, TJMaxx has a similar line, but at least they have an indicator that tells you which cashier you can go to. Depending on how busy the store is, you could be in the checkout line longer than the time you spent actually shopping.

Let's start from the…read morebeginning, where I found a dining room table that I was interested in purchasing, as a looked for an associate there is one right next to me with a scanner so I took over the information for her to scan to tell me where on the shelves I could find the item boxed up. She pointed out that the display table was the only one remaining. As I noticed a huge scratch crossed it I ask if there was a discount due to it being damaged. She informed me I needed to load the dining room table up, and take it to the front desk to ask them?!?! Are we serious? Therefore thanked her for her time and just walked away. Then through the huge store I encountered several other employees completely ignoring me, there was zero eye contact, or even a grin. Seems that the employees there are extremely miserable. What's up for the gentleman at the register which was very cheery, however, he didn't wrap my breakables OR offer me a bag for my items??? Oh, and the restrooms!!!! I noticed a large drip of menstrual blood right in front of the toilet.... And while washing my hands, I looked at the filth splattered up and down the walls, the baseboards were completely coated in filth! Just absolutely disgusting. Walmart's bathrooms were even cleaner than this. lol I recall years back visiting the Hilliard location when it first opened and they seemed to have higher quality items than they do now. Most everything in the store is cheap. China made junk at an elevated price. I'm sticking with HomeGoods, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx. And lastly, the parking lot.... I almost didn't even go into the store because they had several large shopping carts being swept around the parking lot with the high winds. Nobody wants their cars damaged. Bottom line, rude, unhelpful employees, high prices for low quality items, filthy disgusting restrooms.

Quality tends to be good, I've never had an IKEA item that wasn't good quality and last. Prices - they're bargain section is really good, they put a lot of items on clearance and for good prices, not just like kinddd of a deal, they really slash it so it goes quick. SO if you like deals, go during the week and often. Layout and product selection is very IKEA, very consistent. Hate that there's not an easier way to get directly to the section you want to get to, but ... there are cut-throughs to skip a section if you can notice them. So when I got an email giving me a 15% discount, I ordered it easily and picked it up curbside. After I installed it in my dining room, the reaction I get when anyone sees it in my home is, "Whoa!" Full disclosure, every time I walk by my mirror I say it. They have a huge amount of teas, coffees, beers, and wines. Also towards the back of the store there is an area with 55% discounted items. I once got some Chinese almond cookies that took me to a happy place. Only beware that you should consume these items immediately since they discount items close to their expiry dates. I was taken aback by the ultra-religious thing at first, but was accepting it because what I saw was that they were doing a lot for charity in africa. Upon returning home I came to the slightly baffling realization that that was not what they're doing. I'm actually really uncomfortable with the reality, now that I see it. Let me be clear... i'm an Atheist and a Secular Humanist, but I am IN NO WAY an antitheist. I respect people's faiths and understand the importance of it. However, I get a tad touchy about when it impedes on my body, my government, or my schools. I am fine with religion as a private institute, but don't like when it is pushed upon other people. Ergo when I realized that the 50% of sales going to africa statement had to do with money spent to build churches and not hospitals... I felt a little awkward. This place is cute. I am not denying that. It's great for someone who wants that ultra-religious vibe in their house. There are some really wonderful things there, and the prices are great. I honestly wouldn't hesitate to go back if I hadn't found out exactly what the charity they were contributing so significantly to. I wish I could give a place 3.5 stars.
