A small metal sign on the hot water heater in my condominium said to call SuperTech for service. Won't make THAT mistake again. The phone number works but SuperTech doesn't. When the pilot went out and wouldn't restart, I called SuperTech for service. Whoever answered the phone denied SuperTech had installed the hot water heater and would not make a service appointment. Another HVAC company did not hesitate to make a service appointment. If you're thinking of calling SuperTech for installation or service, based on my experience, you can do much better just by starting with another company. This is, without a doubt, the worst company I have ever done business with. Their business practices are predatory, and I am warning everyone: DO NOT USE SUPERTECH HVAC. The $400 Scam for a $5 Part I've been on their $20/month maintenance plan since May 2022. Earlier this year, a technician came for my semi-annual service and attempted an outright scam: The Claim: The tech pulled a small part off my furnace and claimed it was faulty, insisting it had to be replaced immediately. The Price Gouge: He quoted me $400.00 for the replacement part. The Reality Check: I was unemployed at the time, so I took a picture of the part and used an image search. The exact same part costs $5.00 at any hardware store. The Second Opinion: I threw the guy out and called a reputable competitor. They confirmed the part was still good, but they did replace it for me, charging a total of $85 for the visit AND the new part. SuperTech wanted $400 for a repair I didn't even need! This is a textbook scheme to rip people off. Refusal to Cancel and Endless Harassment After that attempt at fraud, I immediately emailed SuperTech to cancel my maintenance plan. Do they honor cancellations? Absolutely not. They have no record of my cancellation. They are now calling me WEEKLY to try and schedule service. When I tell them I canceled, they ask me to send another email. It is absolute madness. The company that tried to steal hundreds of dollars from me is now harassing me to schedule service or spend more time trying to convince them to stop charging me. Do yourself a favor: Spend your money anywhere else. This company lacks integrity and operates by trying to scam its long-time customers. read more

Not recommended. I was just ejected from their gold level maintenance program because I called them too much. The standard of their technical work was good but they completely failed regarding customer service. They incorrectly calculated from the outset the amount of electrical power needed and never were able to address the problem. They blamed it on the inexperienced electrician that they wanted me to use. Instead they wanted me to spend thousands more on increased ductwork around the house. Currently I am spending a fortune on running the auxiliary motor 24/7 to receive a low level of inadequate heat. Poor advice from the beginning from so-called experts. Go elsewhere as there are plenty of other options. read more

Never purchase a new system, never take their recommendations of a system, or let them install it. The system went down in the middle of the night and I waited for "Emergency Service" to come. THEY NEVER DID! After making promises. It's like they just stole my money. Their 24/7 service is just that they'll take your call with no guarantee of 24/7 actual emergency service. They appear to play the long game to provide good customer service until your system needs a replacement. Then when you really need them to fix a failed install or failed new unit on a freezing night. In our case, the weekend, you wait until we can make it out to you. read more

I am very disappointed in this company. We called them to fix our gas fireplace. They charged us $500 and it stopped working again 2 months later. When I called back they told me that they only offer a one month reservice and since it had been over that I would have to pay the service fee again. After having a reputable fireplace company come out we were told that they reason it stopped working is because SuperTech put everything back together wrong. Due to the misplacement of my logs and the inadequate reassembly, not only did it stop working but it was also a fire hazard. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

They fixed my central unit and said there was a year warranty on the repair. Within a few months the central air unit failed again and they refused to fix it. Made excuses not to. Their own technician said it was their work that needed to be fixed. After spend thousands of dollars I am still without central air. read more

I contacted Supertech to check on my AC due to the unit being blowing hot air, the first tech told us it was a fuse, charged 253 to replace the fuse. After that AC stop working again, he came back for the second time and said it was a leak, so he charged me 1200, system did not work se we paid another 350 for him to find the leak, after that he never found a leak and suggested to changed the whole line. at this point we requested another tech who came and charged me another 2050 to Replace Txv, after that this new tech told us now the system coil was damaged! and I needed a new system which was going to cost me another 9,000!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They don't know what they are doing and just keep charging you money!! read more

I had two appointments which failed to diagnose why my HVAC unit was not cooling properly. It took a third visit to diagnose . The issue was my condenser, the price to replace it even under warranty was $2,200. That was with a significant membership discount. Two things to note about SuperTech: a couple of the serviceman I had were creepy and downright unprofessional and prices are DOUBLE what other companies charge. On one of the service calls, I requested a price to replace a 40 gallon water heater - it was 5k! Got both of the above jobs down at half the price through other companies. 1000% recommend SuperTech for your HVAC system! I was a little nervous when our vents were blowing out cold air instead of hot air when we turned the heat on. Our furnace is on the older side and I was afraid of someone coming in here and just trying to sell me on a new furnace instead of seeing if there was a fixable issue. Affonso came in here and found the issue right away! A small obstruction in one of the main parts of the furnace. He took the time to show me everything he inspected on the furnace and where the problem was. He explained the pricing to me and made sure I was ok with it before conducting the fix. If I have any more issues with our HVAC I will definitely be calling Affonso and the team again! read more

They will attempt to rip you off. Called them because they gave a quote to another row house and told them that is was going to be an expensive ductwork problem so I called them. The guy Nikolay look at the unit upstairs, said that there were ductwork issues, might have to go into walls and ceiling. Said I would have to change the AC units because they were too small. He barely looked at the outside units. Gave me an estimate of $9k. I got a second opinion, from So Cool. They said the coils in the units had to just be cleaned, cost $150 and the Ac works amazing. These folks literally tried to charge me for two new units. It was fascinating that the pricing only was for a new unit, nothing included the ductwork or going into walls like he mentioned. If they quote you, get another quote. Never will work with them. read more

We got a 2 ton air conditioner (Lennox) installed by this company in June 2023. AC did not wrok well, and we were unsure what was wrong, and we had a concern that the AC that they installed was defective. We called Constellation with whom we had service contract. They told us it is leaking. So, we called SuperTech HVAC. The technician (Steve) initially said there was no leak. He said that the techinicians who installed the AC (their own company) did not fill adequate (filled only half) freezing agent. We insisted that they called the Constellation technician who diagnosed the leak. Steve tried to argue with the Constellation, but Constellation insisted that it was an obvious leak. Then suddenly, Steve identified the leak and said it will take 2-3 hours to fix it and refill. In 15 minutes (literally), he said he fixed the leak (perhaps glued it). We were not sure of them, and I called Steve multiple times (their office and the supervisor) to find out how they sealed the leak. No reponse from them so far, more than 6 weeks later, I am still waiting for a response. Beware of this company and their technicians. They do not know the meaning of 'professional'. read more

Hire this company if you want unprofessional management and inexperienced staff to work on your home. The company took on a job that they couldn't do, but didn't care because at the end of the day for them it's all about the money and not the customers satisfaction. It took them TWO days to install a water heater, leaving my parents without water for a day and a half IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC, only to come back on the third day to adjust the water temperature because they didn't know the proper water temperature and set it way too low. I mean... being that they install water heaters for a living you would think they know the proper hot water temperature to set the unit at, but I guess not, and let me tell you it's not below 100F. Attempted to reach out to the company to at least have them reimburse a portion of the money for the inconvenience, but instead they made up several lies and said they would not. So here I am writing this review to let others know who NOT to hire unless you enjoy dealing with unprofessional and inexperienced individuals who lack compassion. If you want a company who appreciates its customers and does a quality job, don't hire Super Tech... there is nothing "Super" about them. *note the water heater cost $6k* read more

The individuals involved in this review are DAN and GARY. If I can give a zero star I would. I requested for someone to come out to my home in Baltimore to check out my HVAC and ductwork situation. I was not receiving sufficient air on the top level of my house. During the consultation, they assured me they would resolve the issue. A couple of days later the workers came to begin working by adding a return on the lower level and installing spines to help redirect air. Not once did anyone test anything to prove this was going to be the best solution. Ultimately it FAILED and then they had the NERVE to ask for thousands of dollars for payment. There was no effort to resolve the issue. I had to seek outside consultants to provide a solution and TELL THEM HOW TO DO THEIR JOB. Please do NOT waste your hard-earned money on a company that actually does not test, does not provide quality solutions, and will overcharge for simple work. Very disappointed in their service, and I will spread the word that no one should seek their service. read more

Called this company after using another HVAC company who came out several times but did not fix the problem. Steven came out quickly, diagnosed the problem and fixed it immediately. Unfortunately also diagnosed an apparent "quick fix" the previous company had done that had to be corrected. Glad to have found someone that knows what they are doing and completes the job right the first time! Completely satisfied! read more
