They were very helpful regarding not only fixing my brake issues but also providing education regarding proper intervals in which I should be servicing other systems of the car. I am a home healthcare provider and my car is my lively hood in this career as I drive 25k mi per year. So in addition to brakes this visit he also swapped out spark plugs which ended up being an involved project based on their location on the vehicle. Pretty sure they were the original ones from 180,000 miles ago! We came up with a plan regarding maintenance of the coolant and transmission fluid at a future date as they were looking fine at the moment. If you're looking for a shop with an honest, family feel where the owner wholeheartedly takes the time diagnose, repair, and provide education regarding this is the one. Also the prices were very reasonable and I was provided with a detailed invoice noting each charge.

His service is excellent, reliable, and fair. He doesn't try to up sell on things that aren't essential like other car repair (or even other Brakes Plus locations) do. When we have had issues with our family vehicles over the past 3-4 years, Joey always treated us like family and took care of us. We have brought our vehicles here for multiple oil changes, tune ups, and emergency repairs at this location. When Joey had stepped away from this location for a few months in 2025, the service and care was not the same. So many up sales on things that weren't needed. Luckily he came back and the service is better. And all at a reasonable price.

Hey all, Just wanted to share what's been happening with my 2019 Hyundai Elantra. A few weeks ago,…read moreI took my car into the dealership after it broke down. They told me my engine was seized due to rod bearing failure-- at 88k miles, which, as many of you know, is exactly the issue that's been recalled or covered under Hyundai's extended warranty for this model/year. Same exact engine that's been having issues (2.0 NU MPI) The dealership said they were missing maintenance records and asked me to provide them. Luckily, I've always taken care of my car and changed the oil and did filters/rotations and the works. I was able to provide dates of ALL oil changes I completed that the car was being properly maintained during those times. Despite all that, Hyundai still denied the claim, saying it was due to "excessive neglect"--which is just ridiculous. I met every requirement and provided clear documentation. When I called Hyundai Corporate to understand what they meant by "excessive neglect," they refused to elaborate and told me the case is closed with no option to appeal. Here's what I've done so far: Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Filed with the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) - someone has already been assigned to my case and will be visiting the dealership soon. Hyundai pretty much told us it's not their issue and we are screwed. Even though they have KNOWN issues with the same year/model/engine. I would never recommend getting a Hyundai, the engine in my car seized at 88k miles with identical issues that recalls are known for but they wouldn't even admit to it and kept saying "it's out of warranty". Please be aware and avoid buying a Hyundai at all costs. Horrible experience but it shed light to how crappy of a company they are and how much they don't care about their long time customers.

Often, it's as though most service relationships are adversarial...you vs them, as though there…read moremust be a winner and a loser. It's uncommon to come across a business that treats you fairly and genuinely cares about your experience throughout the business interaction. What is even more exceptional is finding a business that is able to leave an impression on you not just once, but one that consistently exceeds your expectations. We discovered Stamps when my wife's car was in need of tires. Our first experience brought us back, and every experience since has reaffirmed my opinion that Tim and his team are truly a rare find in the service industry. Most recently, I brought my F250 in for servicing. Of course, it was a weekday morning, trying to get kids to school before heading to work, and the truck won't start. Based on the input of a roadside assistance team, I was expecting to walk out with two new batteries and at least one, if not two alternators (dual alternator vehicle), and a hefty unexpected bill. Once the roadside assistance team got me running, I immediately called Tim and explained the situation. Tim, understanding my need to find a solution before it was time to pick up kids, worked with his schedule and told me that if I came right in, he'd have me ready by that afternoon. When I dropped off the truck, Tim had me in and out, he even drove me back to the house so that I could make arrangements to get to work as quickly as possible. Around lunch Tim called me to let me know that he had checked the entire system (batteries, alternators, starter, wiring, etc) and the good news was that everything checked out except the batteries. Regarding the batteries, I asked his opinion on several brands I'd researched, including some of the top-tier batteries on the market. Tim had every opportunity to up-sell me but that's not how Stamps does business. Instead, he considered my typical vehicle use, and recommended a set of batteries that should last me much longer without breaking the bank. When I picked up the truck that afternoon, Tim was again there to meet me. He explained exactly how they tested the system, what they found, and asked if I had questions....what you typically expect from a good service provider. Tim then told me to check-in with him and let him know if I saw anything out of the ordinary. He specifically told me what conditions to be aware of that might be indicative of another issue and reiterated to call him if there were any other difficulties. This is what, in my opinion, makes Stamps a great service provider. As I was getting ready to leave, Tim understood that this was an unanticipated expense and let me know that he was going to help me out on the final invoice. He applied a generous discount and wished me a Happy Thanksgiving. I walked out feeling as though I had someone looking out for my interests and I hope the Stamps team takes pride in knowing that they have absolutely earned my loyalty...a win-win situation, which should be the goal of any service provider.
