I also wish I could have given 0 stars. I went from JFK to midtown and back last week. Here's the story.... Where to begin? It took an hour for me to be picked up from my terminal (don't believe this, we don't have a van at the curb but we'll be there shortly business) They do not organize the vans well so there are people in the same van who are going all over the city, not at all efficient I called to confirm my return ride and sat on hold for 20 minutes only to find that my reservation was screwed up in the system and i would not have been picked up at all if I hadn't called! I called again the day of my flight trying to move the van ride up so I could catch an earlier flight and avoid bad weather, another 20 minutes on hold, another round of being told my reservation was in the system wrong! I finally got it sorted out about 45 minutes later. (Can you tell what percentage of my 2.5 day trip I've now spent dealing with this inept company?) When I was picked up for the airport (late, again) I sat in the front seat of the van because it was full. I had the most harrowing ride in a vehicle I have ever had in a first world country, and this would beat out many of the rides I've had in the developing world as well! The driver ran red lights, stopped in the middle of intersections, even drove on the wrong side of the road at one point! I was shaking by the time i got to the airport. Because of all this, opted not to tip the driver, as I don't believe tipping is mandatory when I was afraid I might die. He then proceeded to yell at me at started to follow me into the terminal. I quickly got away from him and into a crowd. Another call to Super Shuttle. Another 20 minute wait, 3 operators, and I was finally able to file a complaint. I heard back from them that they would refund my money and send my comments to the driver. No one really took down my story, no one seemed all that concerned about the major safety violations that took place. Sure, it's great I have my money back, but what about the dangers to all of that guy's passengers in the future? And what about any semblance of customer service? Stay away. Stay far away from this company. Take the subway or pay twice the price for a cab. You'll be very glad. read more

I don't even want to give this stars! Worst experience I've ever had. My flight got in to New York JFK airport at 5:30am, pick schedule was at 6:00am didn't show up till 6:30am. I didn't make it to my des intimation which was a 30 minute drive from the airport till 10am!!! 4 fucking hours in a gross ass shuttle bus. They drop off 10 people. Never, ever, ever again.... I took the Super Shuttle in December to JFK. Ghastly is too mild to describe the experience. I had asked for a 3:15-3:30 pm pick up. Was downstairs waiting at 3:15 pm. The van arrived at 3:30 pm. The guy stops the van across the street from my building, and gestures to me to cross the road. Hello?! He can see I'm standing there with 2 large suitcases plus a handbag - how does he expect me to cross the road with luggage?! When I called out asking him to pull up outside my building he started yelling at me about how this wasn't a limo service and that I couldn't expect door to door pickups! I thought the whole point of the service was that they DO pick you up at your doorstep so you don't have to be crossing the road with heavy bags! Then when he finally turned, the driver started giving me a hard time about how I had too much luggage when their own web site says 2 suitcases plus one handbag per passenger is allowed. There were a bunch of people in the van all shocked at this guy's attitude. At that point, I should've just said "hell with the $21, I'm taking a cab" but I didn't. He then picked up 2 other people, both of whom were late, in one case by 15 mins and in the other by 10 mins. And guess what? He didn't say a word to either of them! So with all the delays plus Christmas eve traffic, it took us 2 FULL HOURS to reach JFK (in a cab from my place it normally takes 30 mins ith light traffic, 45 mins with normal traffic). The girl next to me had a 6:30 pm flight, I think she missed it. Mine was at 7 pm so I was still OK, but only just (I was flying international and they were only a few minutes away from closing check-in). My conclusion: yes, a cab costs more than double ($45 plus $5 toll) but it's worth it to avoid the sheer stress and frustration of sitting in that van! Not to mention, getting yelled at by the driver for expecting Super Shuttle to live up to its stated service. I should've read the Yelp reviews before booking it. Live and learn.... read more

I've taken SuperShuttle several times. Today, I waited the same amount of time as my flight from Washington DC to JFK! Several people came and went with much more efficiently scheduled vehicles. Mine seemed to take his time, hanging out in Manhattan until I called customer service which was not that customer oriented. The aggravation isn't worth the slightly lower fare...switching to Carmel which gets much better ratings. Deleting the SuperShuttle phone app. No tip for driver, and usually I am generous. read more

Used Super Shuttle for transportation for JFK to our hotel near Central Park. Ride to our hotel took 4 hours, traffic was an issue however the time it took to drop others off before us was ludacris. Drop offs not efficiently planned. Called ahead the day before our departure to schedule a pick up time for a 4pm flight departure. They gave us a pick up time of 1pm which was fine, however we spent so much time picking others up before heading to the airport. 45 minutes into the trip we were within 5 blocks of our hotel, not kidding. After picking up one person we would circle the block at least once and pick another up. We didn't make it to the airport until 3:15, 45 minutes prior to departure. Luckily there were no lines for bag check or security. The long ride aside, the drivers were both incredibly rude. Didn't say a word unless spoken to. And when we asked a question their response was inaudible, when we asked them to repeat themselves they wouldn't. I'd say use whatever other mode of transport available. This simply was a waste of our time. read more

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Okay, I had two not-so-bad experiences with them but yesterday put me over the top. Eleven people in the car, we were two blocks from my apartment, and it appeared I was to go on a round robin with them and be let off last. I asked to get out AND THE DRIVER WOULD NOT STOP. Finally I had a fit from the far back seat and he stopped -- now many blocks away, which I then walked with all my luggage. Should have taken the bus, half the price, and the walk would have been the same. I asked for a refund. Will report if I get it. read more

When traveling to New York we had to travel to JFK from the Hilton towers. This was during the big Israeli Day Parade. Traffic was unbelievable and cabs were almost impossible to find. We saw a Super Shuttle and the driver offered to take us to the airport. His name was Abdullah and he was the best driver I've ever seen in New York. He navigated through the traffic and got us to the airport with plenty of time to spare. It was an absolute miracle. He squeezed through tight spaces easily and knew the layout of the city well. The driver was very friendly and helpful. We didn't have cash and his card machine broke. he made special arrangements to call into the office to get credit card payment authorized for us. He went over and above the call of duty. His calm attitude and happy personality were positive and upbeat. With panicking travelers an employee like Abdullah is an asset to any shuttle service. read more

I am shocked to read these negative reviews. I just used Supershuttle from LGA, LAX, and then JFK. All 3 times the communication was excellent, the van was prompt, and the drivers were friendly and courteous. At JFK I even received texts letting me know where to pick up my luggage and what van number would be picking me up, as well as a photo of the driver. I was extremely satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to use this company again. read more

Picked me up on time. Got me there way early. However, the driver was AWFUL-- did not speak to anyone, threw receipts at people, cut people off in traffic, did not get out or help me put my bag in the van, talked and played on his cell phone the whole time, had loud rap music playing and was filling out his driving log at red lights. NOT SAFE. One passenger even asked him to be more careful and he replied No, that's ok. Cheap, effective way to get to airport, but nothing glamorous or courteous about using SuperShuttle. read more

I had a wonderful experience. My driver was prompt, the van was clean and the service was prompt. It seems from reading reviews that the problems are for people who are getting picked up at the airport. I took SS from home to JFK and back. I was lucky since on one way I had only one additional passenger and on the way back I was alone. Pickup in both cases was very well organized and on the way back the waiting time was only a couple of minutes. Thank Van on the way back was pretty old and no particularly clean but altogether it was a food experience read more

Horrible experience with super shuttle from JFK to Manhattan. Our flight arrived at 11:30pm, the sigh to find shuttle is not clear, we finally got on shuttle at around 12:10am. The driver kept waiting at different terminals, and even come to the same terminal twice for waiting. Finally, we left at around 1:30. After driving on the highway for half an hour, I am surprised to find that we are back to the airport for picking up! That's crazy! Then we finally got home at 3:00pm, no kidding. The driver never say a word to us for what is happening. It would be much better if taking public transportations! Can't believe it took me three hours to arrive, even longer than my flight. I have three of us together, costing 60. Can't believe why don't we choose uber or taxi... Would never come back again! read more

I booked a trip to the S.F. airport from Daly City 24 hours prior and they never showed up!! They have refunded my money, which took about 7 days............but that does not make for the stress of trying to catch my flight that day and having to book a taxi last minute. I will never use them again. They are unreliable and that is the opposite of what you need when trying to catch a flight. read more

2 stars are only cause they managed to pick me up on time from my house to the airport. However, even with a reservation I have to wait an additional 50 mins just for pick up. The van are uncomfortable and slightly smell. Would not recommend again, eespecially from Newark. Just take the buses that run from Manhattan to Newark n vice versa. They come every 15 mins and are cheaper more comfortable and reliable. Also, there is a sign in the van that states that your voucher does not include tip for the driver. Don't believe this, when purchasing there is a section that says "driver gratuity" if you paid that you did include a tip for the driver. Don't let them mislead you. Service to the airport was actually on time and i got what i paid for but the wait to get home overshadowed the whole experience. Many places in other country's have the same service from the airport, never have i had to wait close to an hour for us to leave the airport. read more

Super Shuttle left me stranded on Manhattan. I was catching an 8:40 pm flight from La Guardia and had scheduled a pick up at 5:10-5:25 pm at 2 Park Ave. At 5:33 no car had arrived, and I called Super Shuttle to find out what was going on. I was told the driver was 15 minutes from my location. At 6:07 pm, I see the van in question drive right past my address. I called to see what was going on, and it turns out the driver marked me as a no show. He had most likely pulled up to the wrong address, as I saw him when he was pulling out from the next block over. The dispatcher, when confronted with this, transferred me to a random person who couldn't help me. By now it was 6:30 - anyone who has tried getting a taxicab at this time in New York knows how hard it can be. At this time I got a hold of the only customer friendly person in this mess (this is the fifth person I'm speaking to) and he says there's nothing they can do to get me there but they can offer me a refund. I will never use Super Shuttle again. read more

2 years ago I had a bad experience with a drop off from LGA to my hotel. The driver couldn't find the place and I kid you not pulled over took my bags out and told me he had other people to drop off and that he couldn't spend any more time looking for my hotel. It was snowing u had 2 bags and 5blocks later and freezing I found hotel. The matter was taken care of by customer service and I was actually refunded but vowed to never use this service again. Fast forward to 8/18/14.... against better judgment and my gut instinct, I decided to use these guys to get from JFK to my friends apt. The taxi lines were crazy and the rush hour traffic time meant I would shell out some $ for a can after waiting in crazy line. I went and picked up phone, booked shuttle and was told that I would be picked up in 25-30min. Ok. I sat down, waited for my name to be called and began to read. 50 MIN LATER I realize I had not been called. I go back to the phone and customer service tells me i need a conf# o tokd her i never received 1 and she rudely tells me well I need need a name or # otherwise you had no way of being booked. .. OK I have a name but you asked for some conf# gave her my name and was then told shuttle driver left and didn't come get me... lol.... what? Are you serious? I began to get upset and told her I need to get out of the airport. She re books me and says call back in 10 for the van# so I will know who is coming to get me. I call back and this NEW person tells me there is no re booked shuttle after driver LEFT WITHOUT ME in the rudest most condescending voice. I lost it and began to cry informing this a** that I was pregnant, traveling alone & felt stranded and that this company could care less about clients/customers. Next thing I know I'm transfered from NY to a guy in ARIZONA!! Crying I inform him that I am not only traveling alone but that I am pregnant and have spent over an hour at this point fighting back my all day morning sickness mixed with jet lag because I was afraid if I went to be sick in bathroom I would miss my shuttle. ... THAT ACTUALLY NEVER CAME AND WAS NEVER REBOOKED! He apologized, informed me that since he was in AZ he would have to get ahold of NY dispatch and put me on hold. Came back and I was going to be on next shuttle. I was picked up 5th later and spent another 1.5 hrs getting to the city and my destination. I arrived and booked my shuttle at 330 and didn't arrive until almost 7. This company and its a**hole drivers and CSR's could give a sh*t about you only the money on your card or in your wallet. read more

SuperShuttle??? I think NOT!!! I called them from JFK at 10:30 AM to drive us to our hotel in the Financial District. I was told they would be there in 25 minutes. At 11:15 AM still no shuttle. I call again. I'm told 5 more minutes. at 11:30, still nothing. I finally call for the third time and they give me some pathetic story about our van breaking down. We finally get picked up about 12/12:15 PM. In the van, another group tells us how some of the drivers for the shuttle service are SHADY. They fail to pick up their scheduled reservations because if they pick up the people w/out reservations, they can pocket the money. They call into the company and say their shuttle broke down, but its just a lie. A worker at the airport stated that this happens regularly and that she's complained on behalf of customers numerous times and the company refuses to do anything about it. Anyway, my friend and I were the last damn stop, squished in with way too many other people, all awhile we had to pray that the dude didn't kill us. We finally arrived at our hotel about 2 PM. Not cool! We'll never take them again. Its only a few bucks more to hire a car service! Save your sanity and skip the ShittyShuttle! read more

I took SuperShuttle to LaGuardia Airport almost a week ago and it was a ok experience, what I didn't like about it is that they picked me up close to 1:30pm when my flight was at 5:30pm, I hate how they picked me up way too early, I got a fare quote on SuperShuttle.com to see how much the fare would be and it said 16 bucks but when I made the reservation over the phone the day before my pick up, they gave me a higher fare and then when the driver dropped me off, he gave me a even higher fare which was 18 bucks and I gave him a 2 dollar tip. The only reasons why I took SuperShuttle was because since the subway doesn't go to LaGuardia, cabs are too expensive and traveling to the airport by the M60 bus is a big headache when the bus is packed with people if you have a big suitcase like what I had but it's less headaches in general just to take a cab or a airport shuttle to the airport instead of taking public transit. SuperShuttle got the job done and I'm happy about that and I probably will end up using them again in the future. read more

I have never experienced such poor service in my life. This company is poorly organized and quite frankly despicable. You cannot get a straight answer from anyone. I arrived at JFK at 12 am and checked in as I was prompted. I was told it would be 15-20 minutes until my pick up which is fine. I was assigned a car and could tell that my car was sitting right at the airport. After waiting 30 minutes I called to check on the status and they told me it would be another 15-20 minutes that they are waiting on another passenger. I can assure you at that time of night there were literally no other passengers. I work in the hospital and has to be at work early the next day and did not have the ability to wait likely another hour at the airport waiting for this pathetic company. I recommend that Super Shuttle have a complete overhaul because quite frankly right now they are operating under false advertising. They need to employ enough drivers to deliver the service that they advertise or else be honest with their quotes wait time. I work a lot with many people traveling to and from NYC and I will not only not recommend Super Shuttle but I will make it a point to frankly steer everyone I come in contact with away from this company. $75 later and an hour of waiting plus an additional hour commute I got home without the help of Super Shuttle. read more

We booked super shuttle to take us to/from the airport. The way there was fine. On the way home, after a ten hour flight and an hour in customs, we checked in for our shuttle as per their instructions. Over an hour later a van finally showed up. When we called, they said they didn't have other vans available despite us providing our flight information prior to flying (also despite us landing at a major airport) and didn't offer any form of compensation. We were also informed that they don't even assign a SuperShuttle until you check-in, which means you get the nearest driver, even if that driver is out dropping off passengers. Extremely disappointed in their service. The dispatcher was not helpful at all and basically told us that the other SuperShuttle vans we saw were meant for NYC and couldn't take us, again, despite us booking two weeks ahead of the pick up date. What is the point of us being given a scheduled pick-up time if they won't be available until 2 hours after that scheduled time? read more

To find the van, when you get to baggage claim go towards the exit and to the right, there is a transportation desk you should be able to talk to someone there. However, it was empty when I arrived so I went outside, crossed the street to the shuttle pick up are, took a right and found sign 7 which lists shared ride services. A van eventually arrived there and they let me on.... There are no signs at the arrivals area telling you where to go. read more

If I could give super shuttle zero stars I would. On Thursday February 9th, we had a super shuttle scheduled to pick us up and bring us to JFK at 330pm. The day before, we called super shuttle to confirm our pick up and inquired about the weather (blizzard conditions/winter storm). Again, on the morning of, we called super shuttle to make sure they would be able to pick us up for the airport at 3pm despite the weather conditions and the lady on the phone said "we will be there no matter what the weather is." We called again at 1pm to make sure we would still be picked up because the snow was totaling 10inches and again the guy said yes we will be there and do not worry. Then all of a sudden at 150pm, just an hour before our scheduled departure time, the guy calls and now all of a sudden tells us "sorry our drivers don't feel safe driving". THATS unprofessional and rude. If you guys were going to cancel your rides you should've done so in a timely manner. This company is full of disorganization and miscommunication between the dumb people they have answering the phones. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT book with this sad excuse for a service. Never ever ever make the mistake of booking super shuttle TO or FROM the airport!! The service is appalling and makes you wonder how such a shoddy system can exist and get any positive feedback. Just had a terrible wait for over one hour waiting for the damn van, from Midtown to JFK. The customer care representatives kept reiterating ten minutes tops and the tracking device seem to be tracking just some random vehicle in the city. We kept looking at the vehicle it would reach near our house and again turn and when you refresh it's all the way someplace else. The worst part is no one had the courtesy to call ahead and warn us or even have the driver call. I had to eventually take a taxi for my sister (visiting USA for the first time and was headed to take an international flight) and right after she left the van pulled over behind. The driver, Shahid, was pretty rude to us when we informed him that the passenger left by taxi and even swore at us!! And when I demanded a full refund I am told the 'Advocate Department' will look into it. Never ever ever again. I booked Super Shuttle for my trip from the hotel in Midtown back to Laguardia airport. I received a reminder text the day before and a text the morning of with a link to track the driver, which included the driver's name and picture. I loved this aspect of the service! Everything went smoothly. The driver was on time, and the van was clean. The driver told us what route he was going to take and how long it would possibly take to get to the airport. He was extremely courteous and helpful (I even gave him an extra tip from the one I added when I booked online). I am glad I left the hassle of getting back to the airport on a busy Monday morning to Super Shuttle. The price is reasonable, and I would definitely use this service again! read more

I would give this company 0 stars if I could. We waited 2 and a half hours to be picked up from the airport with them telling us it would only be "20 more minutes" EVERY 20 minutes. We tried to cancel while we were waiting to just take an uber but they told us that we couldn't cancel or get a refund. After we were picked up it took another 30 minutes to pick everyone else up.... The driver tried to force 4 people into the last seat that CLEARLY only fit 3 people. Once we finally got on the road (3 hours after we had gotten off our plane) it took another hour to get to our hotel- I get it's a ride-share but..... Tried calling the company more than once, with no answer. Luckily we were able to cancel our return trip. I will not be using this company ever again and I highly recommend you don't either!!! JUST TAKE AN UBER!!! It's essentially the same price and not even a fraction of the hassle SuperShuttle causes. read more

We live in NYC and have taken Supershuttle several times to the airport. The problem is they set up your pick up time about 1 1/2 hours before one would normally leave to get to the airport. They do this so that they can then drive around and pick up several other customers. you could get a real tour of the city (even when you are not in the mood). Since they charge per person, I suggest taking it for one person only if you have time to spare. If you are two or more, it makes more sense to get into a cab and share the cost. Each may be a few dollars more but you will save yourself a lot of time. Happy Travels! read more

Called Super Shuttle and was told to wait for 20 minutes when there was a van with seat headed to my direction and the driver was willing to wait for me done talking to the patcher. The patcher insist ed that I went back to the "welcome center" and waited 20+ minutes. For another van. I cancelled the reservation on the spot and got on the AirTran. If I make an advance reservation, I expect they keep their end of the bargain! read more
