Terrible service. Booked in advance. Arrived in JFK, phoned to check in and was told 25-30mins for a van to arrive. 45mins later, no van. Phone them back and was told that we where listed as a no show even though we stood exactly where we where told. Said they would send another van in 10-15 mins. 30 mins later no van. Phoned again and they said he was pulling up outside terminal 7 where we were. Went outside, no van. Phoned back and what they meant was he was pulling up outside terminal 4 to pick up other passengers. Instead of leaving the airport at 9:40pm, it was after 11pm. We then did a massive detour round NYC to leave off other passengers, some of which had waited 3 hours for their pickup, we arrive at our hotel at 1:30am. read more

Absolutely sucks. Should be investigated by the consumer fraud bureau. Had a reservation for 8 pm from Newark to Manhattan, not picked up until 10:30 pm, then waited around the airport for 1/2 hour. Got tired of waiting and got out and took a cab! The customer service reps said that this is a franchise and basically the super shuttle simply dispatches the shuttles (like a cab company)..and the drivers are independent and do whatever they want. This was my first time using SuperShuttle. We landed early at JFK Terminal 8 at 4:55 pm. I went trough the online check in process on the app and followed the directions exactly. We collected our luggage and pressed the complete check in button on the app. Then we waited and waited and waited some more for a driver to be assigned. I inquired with the SuperShuttle representative at at 5:45 pm as to the status of our ride. He stated tht he was short on drivers and it would be 15-20 more minutes. Finally about 6:30pm I Inquired again, this time with the red coat customer service agent (because the SuperShuttle rep was no where to be found). She called the dispatcher and was told our driver was at Terminal 7 and be be there in about 10 minutes. About this time I got a notification on the mobile app that a driver had been assigned. I followed the driver on the app and he sit at Terminal 4 (not 7 like we where told) for about 25 minutes and so, we waited and waited and waited some more. Finally about 7:10 the SuperShuttle rep show back up and asked why we where still there???? Ugh shouldn't he be telling me that!!! Well the driver showed up to Terminal 8 about 10 minutes after that and we where able to get in the van and start our journey to the Hotel. We finally made it to the Hotel in Midtown Manhattan at 8:05pm (over 3 hours after landing) This was the worst first impression with a service that I have ever had!!! I will not be using SuperShuttle (no matter the location again)!!!! read more

I had a terrible experience with super shuttle and will not be taking the service ever again. The car crammed way too many people in at once and what it seemed like we were going straight to the airport but instead made 8 other stops to grab more people!!!!! We even had to wait 20 min for one person to come out when we should've just left them. It took an hour and 45 min to get to the airport causing my to rush to my flight. I had a problem with the shuttle between JFK and my hotel in Manhattan at Christmas. SuperShuttle resolved my complaint quickly and efficiently through Delta Vacations. I will Start with i live on Long Island and when booking i told them all my flight information. Pick Up Time 3:05. At 3:00 am. I was standing outside for there pick up and get a text they will be there at 3:30. As i went to call super shuttle the driver called my house .The driver was rude and said that he was not supposed to be driving tonight he had been driving 12 hours already. (hmm sounds a little dangerous.) He stated he could pick me up at 3:25 and was HE COMING OR NOT?. I said okay he was cutting it close but i had pre-paid so i timed the trip it still worked. I then asked the driver if i missed my flight because of them would i be reimbursed for the cost of a new flight. He said No and was he picking me up or not?? I called super shuttle they assured me i would be if i missed my flight they wold book me another one. I told them fine to send the driver.. Standing outside again. 3:30 I called super shuttle they informed he was running even later than the 3:30 window and still had another pick up 20 minutes away after he picked me up. (not the direction of LGA) I packed my things in my truck and pulled out of the driveway at 3:45 am STILL NOT THERE. (they may have been willing to book me another flight if i missed mine but the next was 4 hours later with 2 lay overs and did not want to waste my whole day because they could not get to me on time.) I used Super Shuttle to travel from JFK to the city. It was my first time traveling to NYC, so I wanted a means of transportation that was the easiest option for me. Finding Super Shuttle in the airport was easy enough. I went to Ground Transportation at JFK and gave my confirmation number. They called me when the driver arrived, about 15 minutes later. That was the easy part. Since it was a shared ride of 10 people, it took forever, especially when there was a last minute addition to our ride and we had to sit and wait. It took almost as long to pick everyone up as it did to drive into the city. The driver kept apologizing to us. In fact, our driver was very friendly and made the trip very pleasant. The van was clean and the drive was safe, even in cold, rainy weather. I would say use Super Shuttle if you don't have to be somewhere at a particular time, as it took a while to drop everyone off, also. I would probably use Super Shuttle again, but not at JFK. read more

I have been using Supershuttle for decades and only had a problem once when they failed to pick me up to head to the airport. This time they canceled my already paid for trip 6 hrs prior to my pickup. They sent me a text at midnight to advise me that my 6 AM pick up was canceled due to routing issues. Well what the hell do you expect your customers to do at the witching hour trying to get an alternate ride 6 hrs before they need to head to the airport at Christmas time. Every Uber, lyft, limo, car service was booked. I had to pay $85 to take a yellow cab. never mind never slept cause I was trying to find another means to getting to JFK. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE....I called 8 times and was either disconnected or transferred to a dept that had nothing to do with my issue and once the rep laughed at me. Canceling an already paid for round trip at the last moment is no laughing matter and I am sure if it happened to her she would not find it amusing at all. I was not even screaming for her to find it so funny. Typically NYC hispanic attitude from the rep that was for sure. As a Director of Customer Service in the luxury fashion industry for over 50 yrs I can tell you I would NEVER hire these reps as they are clueless and for upper management to treat their loyal customers of decades like this is repulsive. Not even a SORRY from these people. I will NEVER use them again and will tell EVERYONE about my experience. Guess upper management never heard of the domino effect. read more

Made a reservation over 2 weeks, to wake up an hour and 30 minutes from our pick up time that our reservation was cancelled. When requesting to speak to a representative on the phone they kept hanging up or refusing to assist. When speaking to a so called "manager" on duty all she said was due to being bought out super shuttle will no longer provided services. If you were "bought out" why the hell didn't give a notice or decline any reservation after 12/30/2019. People who make reservation with shuttling services are tourists and not locals. Learn to be professional and maybe a "bought out" would have not occurred. No type of remorse or sympathy. It's the day before New Year's Eve, should've planned ahead of instead of notifying your customer a few hours before their dam flight. Didn't even offer any voucher or code for the inconvenience. My Super Shuttle experience in NYC was awful! I will never use them again! When my daughter and I landed at LaGuardia, we used their online app to let them know we needed a pick-up to our hotel. The estimated pick-up time given to us was 15-45 minutes. We waited 1 hour and 2 minutes before our driver arrived. When I texted the driver to find out his arrival time, he never responded. Our driver then chose a route through Queens that was horrible and it took us another hour to get to our hotel on 46th St. in Manhattan. I should have trusted my instincts and cancelled my return trip ride, but since it was prepaid I went ahead with it. Our estimated pick-up time was 2:25 - 2:40 p.m. Our driver arrived at 3:12 and also picked up another couple at our hotel. After he loaded them, he hopped back in his van and was about to leave. I ran up to his window and told him he was supposed to be getting us too. He looked at his itinerary twice and then responded "Oh, I thought you were at a different hotel." He never apologized for almost driving off without us. When I commented on his tardiness he just laughed and said, "Yeah...traffic." Luckily there was hardly any line in security when we arrived at La Guardia. If there had been, we most likely would have missed our flight. Never again will I use Super Shuttle! read more

Made a reservation for 12:50 a.m. pick up. At 1:07, I received a text informing me of my vehicle assignment and guest number. At 1:32 a.m., I received another text stating that I've been reassigned to a different vehicle. At 1:42 a.m., I received a call from the dispatcher stating that it would be another 45-60 minute wait. At 2:50 a.m., I called to ask for an updated ETA. I was directed back to the dispatcher who informed me that it would be another 30 minutes. It is now 3:21 a.m. and I am still waiting. There has been no offer for compensation for the extreme inconvenience this has (and continues) to cause me. Completely unprofessional and unreliable service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE. read more

We had the worst service this evening coming out of Dulles Washington Airport - we waited for over an hour in the cold - it had snowed - my husband is disabled - we were lied too about how long the shuttle would be - each time we were given updates we were told another 5-10 minutes. Our service was to be private only to have my husband wheeled out in the snow and freezing cold to a van that was already packed with people for us to share !!! AWFUL! I found this deal online, saying they would take us to and from the airport, and it seemed like a great hassle-free way to get around. When we arrived at JFK, we were put on a shuttle already full of people (which is fine.... just not what had been stated online). Our driver then preceded to drop off everyone else. We were picked up at 11 am. and didnt get into our hotel until 3 pm. It was ridiculous!! We were exhausted from our red eye flight, starving, and irritated. Our driver practically threw our baggage at us and took off. For pick up, I called in a reservation 2 days in advance. They recommended us to be picked up at 12:20, even though our flight wasnt until 4:30. We took their advice. By this time it was pouring rain and we trudged outside with all of our luggage, at about 12:15. 12:30 rolls around, I call the office and they tell me the shuttle is 2 minutes away. 12:40 - another call, another brush off, the people on the other line keep saying our shuttle is right down the street. Meanwhile my sister and I are getting soaked and are very annoyed. 12:50 - another call and I am livid by this point. They put me on hold and I am disconnected. 1:00 om - We are about to call a cab, I give them one more call, and just as the guy on the other line is saying 2 more minutes, our shuttle turns the corner. 40 MINUTES late. Jerks. No apologies, just throws our suitcases in the back and shoves us into the full (again) van. I would NEVER use this service again. They were horribly rude. If i could rate in the negatives this company would get a -5 star!!! I don't want to make my story extremely long so i'll try to keep it short. 1) Worked 5 days straight in New York. Had a pick up time at 3:30pm in Manhattan to go to JFK airport. Plane leaves at 6:30pm, plenty of time? 2) 3:00pm called to confirm they are going to pick me up since i've already made a online appointment. They said yes, of course. 3) 4:00pm called and asked the operator where the van is because it's 30 mins late, they told me their on the way, so i wait. 4) 4:30pm called and asked again where the van is because now i'm getting worried, they say "oh your the last one their going to pick up but their like 5-10 mins away", so i wait since i'm a gullible fool. 5) 5:15pm called and started swell up with anger and the operator says "we will cover your taxi ride, but you'd better grab one now." Well geez how nice of them to tell me like an hour before my flight. 6) 5:15pm-5:30pm frantically running around on the cold Manhattan streets with two huge heavy suitcases looking like a madman but of course the taxis are all full since it's right before Christmas and all. Finally i catch a taxi in front of a hotel right when they dropped someone off. 7)5:30pm-6:15pm the nice taxi driver is zooming through heavy traffic in order get me on my flight and thank god for that taxi driver because if it wasn't for him I'd be waiting for hours at the airport or even spending extra days there. Once i get back, i tried to get my taxi money back (which was $45 not including tip, i tipped him good since he saved me) but all they sent me was the $26 dollar difference, the difference that i paid to get to the airport. The shuttle would have costed me $19 so they gave me $26. I was like WTF!!!! Are you kidding me, after many attempts, letters, faxes, etc to try to get something, nothing was done. The Most HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE OF ANYTYPE of my life. It really wasn't about the money but the fact that i got screwed and lied to so many times and they were not decent enough to even sincerely apologize? I hope they go down, they shouldn't even a business at all. What kind of customer service is that!! Shame on you supershuttle!! You will never, ever get my business again. I had made a reservation on Friday night Sept 20th for a house guest who needed to get to Newark on Sunday AM for a 6:15 flight. The guest left the house at 4AM w/o waking me and waited outside for 30 minutes before calling Super Shuttle and asked where the shuttle was - she was told they were not coming BECAUSE IT WAS RAINING!!!!!!!!!! and THE MONEY WOULD BE REFUNDED. Well, it had drizzled but had stopped raining - no dangerous weather of any kind. They probably had few if any other passengers and didn't want to send out a van. If they can admit to themselves that they are not a reliable full-service company and have enough intelligence to figure this out the night before, they could have at least had the courtesy to call the night before rather than leaving someone stranded at 4:30 AM on a Sunday morning and coming up with such a pathetic excuse!!?? My guest woke me in a panic and I got dressed and hailed a cab for her. As of today there was no credit on my card. I HAD TO CALL THEM. I was told I was too late to request a refund!! and my complaint would go to their advocacy department!!!?? Run!!!!! This was the WORST experience I have EVER had! I chose Super Shuttle as we had used them in other cities and they have been a good option. We had a reservation for a flight arriving at LGA Laguardia in NYC at 3pm. I called like they said once we were ready, which I did at 315 once we had our bag only to be told there was traffic and it would be about an hour, is that ok? I said, what option do I have? As I had already paid, we waited. At 415 we called again and were told, the driver will be to you in less than 5 minutes. I got a text saying so as well. The driver NEVER appeared. At 445 we got an Uber to our hotel. Instead of the $40 we paid about $65 and was happy about it. I will gladly pay the extra money next time. They LIE and NEVER show up. If you have. A reservation for a 3pm flight arrival, the van should be there within 30 minutes at most. Don't tell me there is traffic. It is NYC! There is ALWAYS traffic! Do NOT choose SuperShuttle! Upon arriving in New York at JFK I checked in as instructed and was told it would be approximately 20 minutes until my shuttle arrived. After 30 minutes I was told it would be 5 to 10 minutes longer. After 40 minutes I was told it would be 5 to 10 minutes longer. At 60 minutes the shuttle arrived. 45 minutes prior to my shuttle pick up four days later I was told that my pick up time would be an hour later than originally scheduled. With the time needed to get to the airport and drop offs I would not have been able to get through security to make my flight. As a result I took a Lyft car to the airport. I tried to contact SuperShuttle an hour before my pick up and could not. Nor would the app let me cancel my pick up and there is no phone number to call. I emailed them to let them know that I was canceling my pick up. Evidently communication is so poor that my driver was not alerted and I got several texts letting me know that the driver was waiting for me outside my hotel. 2 days have passed and I still have not heard from them in response to my email. This is a poorly run company with seemingly very little regard for the experience of the client. Find another way to get to the airport or to your hotel! read more

It was explained to me 10minutes after my pick up time which was 6:39(due to traffic) there was a communication error between the driver and the system and that the driver left without me. New wait time 10-15min and driver would be here. 20min later was told 45min. Very poor customer service. 7:53 and my shuttle is finally here. read more

Took the service for the first time today from suffolk to JFKand i was really nervous about it but the drive turned out to be quite pleasant, and informed me in the beginning that we had to make an additional stop. Although the traffic was crazy as it usually is on the Expressway, the driver drove very safe and was very polite. Definitely would recommend and planning to use this service from now on as im a student and i go back home twice a year in my breaks. read more

The van appeared older and extremely bumpy throughout the ride. The most annoying - that you could not text a reply. When I arrived at the airport I received numerous texts and phone calls that I couldn't respond to - so there was confusion picking me up. Text reply option is easier and quicker. read more

I am writing this review in regards to the private black car service super shuttle provides. My driver was late first of all. The driver went to the airport instead of the hotel address I provided while booking. My ride was scheduled for a 12:45pm pickup. I called customer service at 12:53 for an estimated time of arrival and at 12:57 they said he was 5 minutes away. At 12:59 I received a text stating the driver was outside, we were standing outside and no one was there. The driver called at 1:01 pm asking our location I told him we were outside the hotel. He then stated he was at JFK airport for pickup. I provided the correct address and reverified it. He said he would be 5 minutes. The driver arrived at 1:06 pm. He then proceeded to take the absolute longest route possible through downtown New York side streets. The estimated drive time via the Highways was 1 hour and 4 minutes. I have now been in the car for 1 hour and we are almost halfway to the destination point. At this rate my husband and I may miss our outgoing flight. We are returning from our honeymoon and would like to just get home. The stress, unreliability, and inefficiency of this service is not worth the money. Cab fare from our origin to destination would have been more affordable and perhaps more time efficient. We paid extra for this private car to have less stress not more. At this rate we should have just taken the subways with our 200 lbs of luggage and it would have been less stressful than this. I have contact customer service to request a refund in its entirety. I will update this post when I receive a response to my request. Hopefully their customer service department is more efficient than their drivers. Update: Two weeks have passed and I still have not had this issue resolved. I cannot believe how inefficient the customer service is. Update: After two weeks customer service issued a full and complete refund. Too some time but I am glad they were able to resolve the issue. In the future I may use the shuttle bus service but will refrain from the executive car service. read more

There is no use in spending 70+ dollars to go from LGA to PJ/Stony Brook area if it's gonna take 3 hours (1 hr wait + at least 2 hr drive if there are other passengers). I could have taken a cab to Jamaica for $20 and just waited the extra hour for a train that would have been max $15 and gotten home at the same time. The minute I turned my phone off airplane mode, the driver was calling me to tell me he was waiting outside. The service was good. There was not much conversation on the way to the hotel. I was the one that needed to ask questions since this was my first time visiting New York. The majority of his answers were just yes or no. Towards the end I felt like I was being a pain asking questions so I just stopped. I had to pull the answers out of him. What seemed rude was the fact that he took a phone call while we were driving. There was no time to ask any more questions since he was on phone call. The Cadillac was decent. It's fairly new. The reason I chose this car service rather than paying the 36$ shuttle was the fact that they drop u off right at your hotel front door. This was my first time in New York but over all it was a good experience. The reason I gave them 3 stars was due to the driver not being friendly enough. I would use this service again though. This was a truly rare occurrence. Although I booked a shared ride, I was the only one in the SUV. [I had booked for a van.] I was impressed they made that decision. The price is very good and I will use their SUV service in the future whenever possible. It always surprises me how far it is from Newark to Manhattan. The price is great and considering the convenience, it's worth every penny. The other alternatives are a bus to the city that drops you someplace [and then you have to either take a subway or a taxi] or the endless trip to get to the train, which also means you have to take a taxi or a subway at the other end. This seems like a no brainer to me. Also, I received a text from them as the plane arrive, telling me exactly what to do and where to go. read more

We arrived Friday, November 17th at 10:30 into LaGuardia. After being told our Supershuttle would be there in 20 minutes, we waited an hour. There were already 7 people in our van and the driver put our luggage on top of everyone else's. My husband's laptop backpack was on top. At our next stop, to pick up the 10th person, I heard the laptop bag fall when the driver opened the back door. I told my husband and he jumped out and went to the back. The driver said, "No, it didn't hit the ground. I caught it." We later found the laptop damaged and filed a report with Supershuttle upon arriving home.
