This is for going TO the airport and with their app. It was super easy, I tracked the shuttle on the app and came out when it was my turn. Took 1.5 hours from the time I scheduled my pickup to drop off, for a typically 45 min drive, but I was only in the car for about 45 min (ie the first 45 min the shuttle was picking other people up before me and I could see that in the comfort of my hotel). I've used supershuttle twice in recent years to go to ny area airports and both times have been seamless. Perfect for when you are not in a rush. Update: tried this service again and it took 2 hours to get to the airport with many delays. Pickup was about 40 min late so I'm reducing this to 3 stars. So definitely for when you are in no rush at all. read more

SS was chosen because of the price to our hotel in Times Square. The airport counter lady was nice and helpful, although there was no signage to let us know that she was a super shuttle rep. The wait for our van was about 30 mins on a Saturday morning. Once he arrived and we boarded the van, the driver told me and my party that we had to sit together on the front row because we only paid for 3 seats. The van was empty when we got on, so what difference did it make what row we sat on? When I told the driver that I was comfortable where I was seated, in the 2nd row, he told me that I needed to sit with my party. Decent driving skills, poor customer service. read more

Don't do it! Definitely lower priced but you get what you pay for! Picked up on time from Manhattan cruise terminal but driver never responded to my text and we were not sure where to wait. I had emailed SuperShuttle before trip to ask them but never got a response, only a computer generated response 10 days later saying they were sorry for late reply but if I still needed help, number to call - no answer to question. After pick-up, we proceeded to get other passengers but in a very unorganized route, actually passed by our pickup site 3 times and crossed Times Square twice ! Driver said last pickup was then 30 minutes away and we would then proceed to Newark airport, this would have made three of us late for our flight! Driver called dispatch on speakerphone to tell them this and was told " it is not your problem if they miss their flights" Luckily, he refused to pick up this last passenger and went directly to airport where we just made our flight! Why bother to ask for flight times when you don't really care? Also, Drive was bumpy, unsafe , hot and husband almost got car sick! Van almost took off someone's car door more than once! Then train or subway would have been better even if it meant carrying 2 heavy suitcases. Next time I will pay more and get taxi or Uber! read more

Your experience can be good or bad depending upon the driver and route you get. Recently I booked super shuttle for my sister to Newark. First of all we were given the pick up time between 7:05 am to 7:20 am and we were given no notification, the shuttle arrived earlier and the driver acted cheeky with us, saying we should have been standing down by 6:45 am. He threatened that he was going to leave us and go. He also started acting like a jerk coz the two bags she had were heavy...Maybe someone who hasn't ever traveled internationally wouldn't know one can carry two bags of 23kgs each. I mean so much attitude for being in customer service but then that's how jerks usually are. He also dropped my sister in the arrival section instead of departure. She had 2 big bags and had to walk all the way to arrival. Super shuttle is a hit or miss... If you want to save money be ready to put up with sucky behavior. read more

I didn't want to spend $70+ on a cab ride from JFK to Times Square so I decided to use SuperShuttle. I definitely got what I paid for. After waiting around 30 min for the van to arrive, I was shoved back into the van with 3 other people (so 4 of us in the row plus bags; I was basically sitting on the lap of the woman next to me). There was no seat belt for me to put on, which I desperately needed since the driver kept weaving in and out of traffic, slamming on the breaks, hauling over speed bumps, racing down streets, and nearly hitting pedestrians. It felt like I was on the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland. It was a miracle no one got car sick. And then to top it all off, the vents in the back of the van were broken so the AC did not reach us. SUPERSHUTTLE AKA Go AirLine: NOT A RELIABLE SHUTTLE SERVICE On July 31, 2023, I was scheduled to be picked up at 6 pm by a SuperShuttle driver. One of The SupperShuttle dispatchers called me AT 6 pm and said the driver was running a little late. He got to me after 7 pm. My flight was at 9:30 pm. I was almost in tears because I have a hard time walking so I try to get to the airport early to secure a wheelchair. I was just ready to call a cab when the driver showed up. By the time the driver dropped me off at the airport, there were no wheelchairs available and I had to hop on my painful leg to gate 42 ( I found a small customer go-cart that took me most of the way). If not, I would have missed my flight (people were starting to board the plane when I finally arrived at the gate). This has happened many times and I am now DONE with SuperShuttle/Go AirLine. Folks save some money and take a cab (put it in your travel budget and save yourself the anguish and headache of not knowing..."Will I make it!") Find out how much it would cost to go by cab from your home to and from the airport. Highly wouldn't recommend this shuttle!- Took over an hour from landing to being picked up! Luckily they have gps on the van picking you up so I could track every move. Note the van (#841) was at the airport and after some time he was across the river without me! I called super shuttle and excuse 1. He's on he way. He had to get gas (note that there's at least 3 gas stations near Newark airport yet he was in another part of Jersey across the river) excuse 2. My review may be a little biased because I'm sitting in the back of the super shuttle right now feeling like going to vomit. If you need a way to get from the airport for cheap- this is your way. It does what is needs to do. My gripes: our driver spent the whole time talking on his phone. Constantly breaking. We all feel like we're going to be sick. There's no air circulation in this van. It's freezing outside so can't open the windows and no air or fan running. There's trash and food leftovers on the bottom of the floor in front of me. I'm not asking for five star high class service. But there could be a little care put into his service if he wants a tip. Doesn't care if people are buckled and didn't ask if anyone wanted heat or air. Unfortunately we have it booked already for our ride to the airport in a few days. Hopefully service will be better with a drop off or at least a different driver. read more

I used Super Shuttle twice during a long business trip in New York. The first experience was pretty bad but the second was decent. You can't beat the price, so I suppose I'll settle on 3-stars. I pre-booked both of my rides and downloaded the app to make things easier. When I landed at JFK and had collected my baggage, I immediately checked in on the app. And then, I waited... and waited and waited and waited. You get the point! An hour and a half after telling Super Shuttle I was waiting on my scheduled ride, I was finally picked up. Some God was smiling on me and I was the first drop-off of the van full of 8 people. From the time I checked-in on their app to the time they dropped me off at my hotel in Murray Hill, the entire process took about 3-hours. The driver on this trip didn't speak great English and drove a bit erratically. (But, did you die?!) I was flying out of Newark on my way home. I was assigned a 6:30am pick up for my 10:55am flight. Ouch! My alternatives were grim though -- pay $80+ for a car service (yes, including Uber or Lyft) or lug my heavy suitcase 4 blocks to Grand Central and deal with the bus service. A 6:30am curb side pick up for just $20 with Super Shuttle was the best of the worse. That morning, I could track the driver from the app and knew I had time to run around the corner for coffee and one last NY bagel. Small blessings. The driver for this second trip arrived right on time and was much more personable than the first. Shout out to Leslie! He happily loaded my bags and helped me climb into the van. He even offered me a cough drop when my allergies got the best of me and I was close to hacking up a lung from the back of his van. I was the third pick up of four. From my hotel in mid-town east, we headed way south to pick up the last passenger. Then, off to Newark! We arrived at the airport around 7:30am. Way ahead of schedule! So, I hunkered down and did some work. (Terminal C is a great place to work, btw. They have lots of table seating with these cool iPads you can order food or drinks from and charging outlets at each table.) Despite the early wake-up, this was a 4-star ride, especially when you consider how cheap it was! If/when back in the city, I suppose I'd use Super Shuttle again and hope they get the airport pickup down to a more reasonable wait time. read more

I've used the Super Shuttle brand all over the county. My experience in the NYC area is by far the most disappointing. Travel from airport to hotel was delayed immensely. As a shared ride service I don't expect to be the fastest thing but this was excessive. A public bus would have been faster. Return trip from hotel to airport: Multiple updates via text and app about change in driver and pick up time. I was ready for the earliest time. Waited over an hour from that time to get picked up. Driver and pick up time changed multiple times in that window. Went to pick up breakfast near hotel as the delay became really long to be notified driver was 5 minutes away. Left breakfast pick up to meet driver to be updated that it would be another 30+ minutes. Tried calling service multiple times with no response. Put into recorded info loop with no info available other than what I could see in the app that was changing often. Still hungry and not sure if I'm going to make it to the airport in time to check bags. Overall disappointed and very frustrated with poor customer service. Also confused about this...I tipped a minimum on my card when I booked. Now I see this sign in the car. Does this mean the drivers don't the get tips I put on my card? Driver was friendly and more than on time- he and passengers were waiting for me, my luggage took forever and he could have left and let me take another ride. Before I had a chance to call confirm I had arrived, I received a text from company and then phone call from driver telling me where/how to meet him outside of baggage claim. Only confusing thing is I booked through SuperShuttle, which I had used in years past, but they apparently merged with GoAirLink NYC. I wish I could give 0 stars. I booked this service for my sister who was traveling alone to the city and arriving late at night. I'm not sure what the point of giving them her flight info was, because no one came to pick her up. She ended up walking to find the empty van, and who knows where the driver was. She finally got ahold of him, and he was extremely rude to her and lied saying he was "picking up passengers and would be right to her." After 45 minutes of waiting, she texted and asked when they would be departing, and his response was "when the other get here" and told her if she had issues she needed to talk to dispatch. She waited over an hour and then called the 800 number she found online, and they told her it was a max 30-45 minutes. She ended up taking a taxi - we'll be expecting a full refund. Just don't!! Find another service!! Firstly, we were renting a sedan not a cluttered Jeep. After a few distressed phone calls between dispatch and the driver the driver showed up an hour late. Positive side the driver gave us one bottle of lukewarm water for our "troubles". Okay, that's not the worst part. We booked in advance this service for our trip back to JFK. Thought things were "back on track" when I received a text confirmation the night before our flight., Next day we were ready early and I called to see if we could get a earlier pick up time. I was waiting at the airport, after I checked in on the app (which has a blurry unhelpful location finder) and the driver never came. Garbage. Pickup was great. At first I though Khalid was going to be pleasant, until he wasn't. When we got to NYC he didn't make it through an intersection and got angry with a NYPD officer who was controlling traffic who told him to stop because he wasn't going to make the light. You would think, no big deal, its NYC just wait for the next light, but no... not tough guy Khalid. He rolled down his window and proceeded to verbally fight with the officer. He challenged him to a fist fight for simply doing his job. Disgusting. I had two minors with me. I felt like a hostage after that because I wanted to ask him not to show such violence in front of my family but he was clearly hostile. Huffing and puffing like he has never been stuck at a red light before. Dude, you drive for a living. Chill out. Then when we arrived I did not tip him. Cannot tip someone who demonstrates such hostility and violence for no reason. Completely unprofessional. Did he complain to me about his tip? Did he complain to my partner? Finally hat a driver to take us but another 30 minutes picking up other passengers to increase the fares, I suppose. Triples the time to get to our hotel. Horrible customer service. I tried to use them once for an airport ride, and 30 minutes before my pickup time I get an email saying that they unfortunately won't be able to pick me up. Their customer service is impossible to talk to, they keep transferring you around or hang up. Wouldn't recommend anyone to use them. Great service with confirmation by text, immediate recognition when I landed and easy check in. Van was waiting by the curb and once loaded left promptly. Hardly any waiting time only traffic which driver can't control. Arrived safely and in a short time to my drop off destination. Once my brief holiday was over return went equally as effective and efficient. I really like being able to track my van with the link in the text. They are not organized or reliable at all, if you have time, like to take risks and are patience then you can go with them. Twice they canceled the trip hours before the pick up time, which means you need to get an Uber/cab last minute. Also when they come, they don't care if they are 1 hour late, the driver doesn't reply to your messages, the customer service thinks is normal that you wait 1 hour. I usually take the train from Newark into Manhattan, but I was wrestling a large suitcase on this trip and didn't want to deal with lugging it on and off the AirTrain, NJRR and then the subway, so I reserved a spot on the shuttle. Pick up was ok, but the driver then ended up taking a circuitous route. He had one couple going to W 39th, another going to W 29th and then my stop in the West Village. The Holland Tunnel being closed, we had to take the Lincoln Tunnel, which dumps out at around W36th. You would think he would go three blocks north and do the 39th St drop off first, and then head south, right? No, this guy decides to go 7 blocks south to 29th, then 10 blocks back uptown to 39th before finally heading downtown once again to the Village. When I pointed out the route didn't make any sense, he got belligerent, saying he has been a driver for 30 years, he knows what he is doing, etc. Ridiculous. He wasted his time, gas and his passengers' time. Did I mention we were coming in right during rush hour too? Never again, I'm going back to riding the train. Tracking app made it reassuring to know where me ride was even to the point where I saw him turn on my street corner. My ride to the airport was fine. April 2018- returning from a trip to Nashville. Only getting around to a review now because my friend just also had a similar horrible experience No hassle and pretty much the same as doing a Via or Uber Pool. But cheaper so Basically a really cheap ride share. Great! I thought. Wrong. My ride home was honestly a nightmare. I had never taken it back to Manhattan from any airport before, so I wasn't aware of protocol. Protocol really sucks! They expect you to wait several hours at the airport while everyone else's flight comes in. The vans are big too so you're waiting for 9+ other passengers. Not knowing this, I located my van in the pickup area using the helpful GPS. A man screamed rude things at me from inside the van and wouldn't roll down the window to speak to me, a customer, in a reasonable manner. Finally, he got out in a huff and yelled at me repeatedly to wait inside. He snarled at me and was pretty nasty. I asked for his name to give it to SuperShuttle and he wouldn't say it. Finally I called them to report him, so he definitely got in trouble and they gave me a new driver, who was still rude. Pretty unbelievable. I waited at the "Passenger Loading" area right outside of the terminal. Their app drops a pin right at the "Passenger Loading" area on the map, so it's natural to assume that's where I should wait for the SuperShuttle. After waiting 25+ minutes, I saw the SuperShuttle approaching so I walked up to the van. The driver got out and immediately scolded me for "not staying put." Any attempt to explain why I was at the "Passenger Loading" area was met with the driver cutting me off and telling me I'm "not listening." Frustrated, I asked him sheepishly if I should then go to the SuperShuttle meeting area inside the terminal, to which he responded "what the fuck is wrong with this guy" and told me to "go wait at the van." The entire experience was demeaning and infuriating. As soon as he crossed over into Manhattan, I asked to get off the van and took a Lyft the rest of the way instead. In an already crowded market, the one thing that SuperShuttle had going for them was affordability. So if you don't mind getting cussed at and being told off as if you're a child, go for it.
