Poor service from the start at DCA Airport. Was told a few different prices, rude customer service and was told 5 different locations for shuttle pick up. I highly suggest you use another service UBER or Lyft or something else. Taxi service to downtown DC starts at $31 plus an automatic $10 on top. Stay clear of Super Shuttle DCA, HORRIBLE!!!!! read more

Two stars for the price, but for all of you crying about how poor the service is... you get what you pay for. If it was a better service, it would cost twice as much! Wait, they have that... it's called a cab. There is nothing worse than taking SuperShittle to the airport. You will do nothing but worry about making your flight as the guy exits off a seemingly staight shot to Dulles to pick up yet another odd ball who is running just a few minutes late. Anyway, you get what you pay for. Take a cab or bum a ride. read more

This review is for a SuperShuttle ride from Dulles to DC. We found the agent on the curb at Dulles airport. We waited about 20 minutes. The agent wasn't very careful getting our name, and I think that was the problem. He just wasn't a very careful person. What should've been about a 45 minute ride took an hour and a half because the agent sent another passenger to the wrong hotel. The driver meant well but was unable to do anything for that passenger. From the looks of these reviews, SuperShuttle needs to get it together in the DC area. read more

I am highly disappointed with my experience with Supershuttle. I did not print my voucher, due to a lack of communication from Expedia. However, the company was for some reason unable to look up my reservation by any other means. I have used many other airport shuttle services in the past, and they typically have my name and basic information right in front of them. They usually do not require the voucher either. I waited for the shuttle for over two hours, hungry and frustrated. Other customers were upset about the waiting time as well. I have communicated with Expedia about their lack of communication regarding the voucher, but there should have been some other way to look up my reservation. I paid $100 for a non refundable shuttle, and I expect to wait less than two hours. It was a highly stressful experience. That being said, our driver was actually awesome. I appreciate his professionalism, and he got us to our destination quickly. I am still upset with how much I was hassled at the front desk though. read more

Arrived to DC (Reagan National). Had difficulty locating the representative. When found her she was sitting on a bench playing on her phone rather than trying to help customers. First two shuttles came, and said they were going different places. Mind you I had to go out and ask in the rain, as the representative just sat there AND copped an attitude. Now sitting here hoping another one comes , knowing full well I will have to go out in the rain to ask as the rep has disappeared. Bad experience using these folks in Denver as well. Will never use them again! read more

I used this service twice, but in two different cities. Last Saturday at IAD the pickup took a little longer, but I understand that the driver was waiting for other passengers. What I was disappointed in, was the route that he decided to take. My husband and I live relatively close to the first drop off, but he went to DuPont circle instead, which was much further and we stayed on the van for 45 minutes extra, which after a 15 hrs flight isn't the funniest thing ever. It was pouring outside and the driver drove carefully though, which I appreciated. read more

All I can say good about this service is that it kept me from walking to the city. This is a horribly ran company They need to hire a logistics manager or invest in scheduling software. After getting on the shuttle it circled around the airport for at least another 30+ minutes to pick up riders. The driver indicated that I would get to the city close to the time I needed yet continued to circle the airport. We were still in the airport at the time I indicated I needed to be in the city Believe the reviews and do not use this service. I wish it were possible to give 1/2 stars. read more

Two experiences with Super Shuttle - both very negative. I STRONGLY advise against using this company. They are unreliable and inattentive to details. I booked a ride with Super Shuttle weeks in advance. The day of the ride, I received text confirmation saying that they were coming to pick me up. They never showed up and ended up calling me 45 minutes AFTER the scheduled pick-up time to say that they "didn't have any cars left" (even though they had my reservation on file for weeks) and they couldn't give me a ride at all. I missed my flight. The other time I booked with them, I gave them my flight information along with the date and time that I needed to be picked up at the airport. On the phone, they verbally confirmed the date/time that I had said but then they booked me for a ride two days after the date I had provided so there was no shuttle waiting for me the day I arrived. Customer service responded to my complaints with a brief, generic apology (clearly they are cutting and pasting this text often) and they offered me a 10% discount on future bookings which is an empty gesture because I would NEVER consider booking with them again. Do yourself a favor and get an Uber instead! read more

I requested reimbursement of a taxi expense due to NO DRIVER AVAILABILITY. This is completely unacceptable because I had a reservation and it was not a case of arriving and trying to look for a ride back home. No driver picked me up from my flight 12 Dec 2018, 00:30 hours - I did receive a text at 00:05, and after picking up my bags checked in by 00:31. I did see a SuperShuttle van, but I was waiting on a text message to tell me the van number. Coincidentally, the van was the same one that dropped me off, and I had thought that was the van that was supposed to pick me up - this confusion was because text messages run together. By the time I looked for a representative the van had already departed. At that time I called the number from a previous text at 00:44. An agent said there was nobody assigned (see confusion above) and was told that they are looking into my reservation and that the next van might be in an hour. I got a call at 01:26 explaining that there were NO available drivers, I inquired when a van would be here, the agent said around 07:00 - that was unacceptable. I was further informed I could arrange to be picked up by Uber or Lyft, but I don't use that service and no other taxis were available except for Washington Flyer, they have exclusive transportation at that airport. The agent explained to me that the drivers were independent contractors, however why NO ONE was available for a SCHEDULED pickup is still unsatisfactory! It's different if I had no reservation and decided to try SuperShuttle, but there was MORE than ample time to put out bids or whatever way you use to assign drivers to pick up a paying rider. This has caused me to lose faith and confidence in SuperShuttle - this was a return trip, can I count on an early RESERVED morning pickup in the future? I'd rather use SuperShuttle, but if CONTRACTED drivers decide to pick and choose easy runs and leave riders with RESERVATIONS stranded, I might have to take my business elsewhere. There is already enough travel stress as it is, now I wonder if I will even get picked up and make my flights in the future. Anybody can just take them." -- Jerry Seinfeld read more

NOVEMBER, 2017 HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE company. They treat pre-paid customers like Sh*t! ZERO STARS!! I reserved/paid online 2 days before a recent trip. After returning into BWI, the curbside lady tells me I have to wait 35 minutes, no apology, nothing. The driver should have called as he had my mobile number. Instead, he took off and ditched me. I then had to take an Uber for $80! They stole money from me as their customer service will never refund me. STEER CLEAR OF THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY AND AVOID THE MISTREATMENT & HEADACHE!!! Looking forward to them GOING OUT OF BUSINESS! Never again!! read more

Zero stars. I waited for 30 min and called and texted the driver. He finally calls back and says he can't be there for 45 min. I was on hold with dispatch for 20 min before I just called an uber. I almost missed my flight. This isn't good business practice. I will never use this company again and i will not recommend this company to any of my international colleagues coming to town. Don't waste your time. read more

Worse possible way to get to the airport. I followed the website directions for scheduling time, and the shuttle arrived at the airport 15 minutes before my flight. There was no traffic, just bad scheduling and service. This is not the first time this has happened. Avoid at all costs. We reserved a shuttle to pick us up from Dullus Airport. What a HUGE mistake! A fiasco to check in. Drivers arguing with each other & with the desk clerks. 75 minute wait. We were told to load in a specific van number. WE had to load all of our luggage into the van full of other people. We FINALLY get ready to go. & we are told to get out of the van & go to another van. WE were required to take out our own luggage. We were guided to a van down the sidewalk a ways, but the van didn't exist . After another few minutes a van arrived and we,again, had to load our own luggage because the drivers had to argue about who was going where. We got in the van and started to leave. The driver stops and says he was told to wait & it could take another 20 minutes. By now I was on the phone to their company. Yep, you guessed it.....terminal hold! No one ever came on the phone. We eventually left, and yes, we ended up missing most of the event that had planned so carefully to attend. If you are on any kind of schedule, BEWARE of this company! read more

Terrible experience. Booked for 1pm. We waited out front of the lobby just before scheduled time. At 1 pm got a text that the driver was there. Clearly not. So I called and was told they would transfer me to dispatch. While talking to the first person my phone rang, ended up being the driver. I had my friend call the driver back while i waited for dispatch. Driver confirmed he was at the wrong hotel. This really ticked me off because an hour earlier I called and confirmed the hotel name and address. Driver said he'd be there in 5 minutes. All the while I waited on hold for dispatch. After another fifteen minutes, still on hold with dispatch, we decided to go with someone else so we wouldn't miss our flight. My friend called customer service on her phone since i was still on hold. She told them we wanted to cancel and get a refund. They put her on hold. At 1:28 we pulled away with a different company and still no sign of our assigned driver. I hung up after being on hold for the better part of 27 minutes. I called back in, third call since our scheduled pick up. Finally got someone who helped cancel the reservation and initiate a refund. read more

I use supershuttle pretty open and I like the fact that it is running 24/7. Drivers are usually friendly and the price is reasonable. Recommended! read more

Do not use SuperShuttle. They will take your money and waste your time. Got off a flight at 9. Had a reservation for shortly after arrival. Sat and waited over an hour before I ordered an Uber. I was at home when they called to say they were ready to leave?!?!?!? I prepaid for a reservation. In order to cancel a reservation you have to notify them like 90 mins before arrival. That does not work when you are in the air for the last 2 hours. So needless to say I wasted my money that even a tip for a service I never received. Any good business would refund the money for a service not provided...not supershuttle. Not sure if this is true but was told that they had problems getting drivers into Reagan because of new fee placed on them. read more

Took a shared van to Rockville MD last evening. Great balance between cost and time. My van was available in about 20 minutes from me walking to the desk (made a reservation). Drive time was fine. I only wish we didn't wait an extra 30+ minutes for a late passenger, though I know I'd hate being the late passenger and finding out that the ride I booked ditched me. All in all, it was a good experience. I see there are some really bad reviews. I guess YMMV by time of day and luck. read more

I had made a reservation to be picked up at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. After I got my luggage at 11:45 pm I proceeded to the Super Shuttle ticket counter. I gave them my reservation # and I checked in. I waited for 45 minutes and finally asked the lady behind the counter if the shuttle would be arriving soon. I was informed that it always takes a long time that time of night. i don't know why it would considering there is no traffic at midnight. ??? At 1 AM, yes 1 in the morning, the lady behind the counter tells 4 of us that the shuttle is not going to show up. She called 3 different drivers and none of them responded so we were basically out of luck. What I want to know is why do they even have us make a reservation (and TAKE OUR MONEY), if they're not going to honor the reservation?!? I finally found a cab that accepted credit cards and got home around 2 AM. I'm sure they will reimburse me but what about those 2 hours I lost??? I could have been home by 12:30 am if I had known the shuttle was never going to arrive. Talk about poor customer service!!!! I will admit that getting to the airport was no issue, but from the airport was clearly a nightmare!!!! DON'T USE SUPER SHUTTLE WHEN RETURNING FROM YOUR TRIP!!!!!! read more

So I caught Super Shuttle from BWI to SE DC where I live. The driver routed into NW DC first which is out of the way and takes a longer route. Talk about profiling. I have never written a Yelp review before. This company has inspired me to do so. Never use this service. They are disorganized, dangerous and rude. They'll take your money and not honor their commitments to you. I made a reservation because I was coming in on an international flight at 2am and wanted to be completely sure I had a way home. Turns out, "reservations" are completely, 100% meaningless from the airport. The manager on duty wasn't even there and I had to wait for him for a while. Then he had to call up people to get them to come on duty to take me and another woman, who also had a reservation. He had to go through at least 5 different people. Why someone wasn't on duty when there were reservations, I'll never know. Then, the manager directed the driver to take me home first, then the other woman because geographically that makes sense. Driver didn't want to because he had a morning pickup in my neighborhood and wanted to take a nap before it. Manager told him again that he had to take me first. We get in van, the other woman complains about being second, driver switches it up, all the while completely lying to me about exactly how far away the other woman lived ("she's going to 16th street. That's just two blocks off the 14th street bridge". Yep, she lived on 16th Street. In Mount Pleasant). Had I known how far out of our way we were going, I would have gotten out and taken a taxi. So he ignored the manager, lied to a customer, then ran a stop sign (I think he fell asleep at the wheel) and when I asked him to take a specific route, against his GPS's really silly directions wouldn't --in my own neighborhood. Twice. End result, we got stuck at every single red light on Rt. 1 at 4am instead of flying down the parkway per my request. I have contacted Super Shuttle three times since the incident and have not once heard back. At this point, it's less about the money (however, I feel completely taken advantage of that someone who treated me like that has $10 of mine--I pre-paid the tip), and more about the fact that I'd like to see if there is anything a customer can do to get a response from these crooks. Avoid. read more

Sammye L Super Shuttle pre arranged ride arrived on time to our hotel in Washington DC. We arrived at Dulles, I dropped phone in the van when leaving. When I quickly called, the van driver agreed to meet us at the super shuttle counter at Dulles to return it as we would have had no way to have retrieved it if he had not come back and taken it to Washington DC. Great customer service as a previous customer had also left their phone in the van, so he had already delivered one phone to Dulles when he had let us off. He was a very courteous and caring driver for his customers as he said my phone was the third one left in his van on November 7, 2014. read more

I used this service a handful of time to catch early flights out of DCA and Dulles. It's a great option to assure you'll arrive at the airport on time before the metro opens. My drivers were prompt, pleasant and polite. They give you a 15 minute window to expect the shuttle to arrive and the driver will call you when he is parked outside. I would recommend this service to anyone. Don't forget to tip your driver! read more

Waited for an hour for shuttle to arrive. Have multiple signs for pick up but only utilize one so customers are standing at a sign that is never going to have a shuttle arrive there. Won't be using this service again to BWI. Long walk from International arrivals and ridiculously circuitous route to Alexandria. Actually, they put everyone going anywhere in the same van, after making all the Marylanders wait for a long time before they put us in the Maryland van. It seemed at first that the company was going to work and make this situation right. Within minutes of me posting the initial review, their social media team responded and jumped right on the situation, helpfully posting that I should contact their team with my information and they would get hold of me. Understand, this was within minutes of the initial review... It is now two days later, and the company still has not contacted my wife. It is now apparent, the only reason they posted the response was to attempt to show people that might be swayed by the review that they were the type of company that took feedback seriously and acted on it. That is obviously not the case considering that they could not be bothered to actually follow up with the information that I provided for them. To me, this is even worse than the initial negative customer experience. It's one thing to provide a bad customer experience. Any company can make a mistake and let something slide off the rails. What is unforgivable, however, is to then give future customers the impression that you care when you obviously do not. Making a mistake is human. Obviously lying to try to claim your company is something it is obviously not points to a culture in the company that fosters an attitude of lack of caring. read more

I received a ride from DCA to my hotel on August 4, 2018 @ around 1:30PM after waiting more than 30 minutes at the airport. Minus 3 stars really. We reserved early and paid the tip at the same time. We arrived at Dulles just before 11 pm. Our reservation was for the time of arrival so they knew when we would be there. No shuttle was there. We were told it would be about 20 minutes. NO shuttle. Told again about 20 minutes. Spoke to a supervisor who said one was on the way. No shuttle. No one cared except two very tired customers, us. Finally they put us on a taxi that wasn't allowed to park where the shuttles come so we had to take our bags almost a block down the street and we left the airport after 12:15 am. Taxi driver was nice and the trip was uneventful. We were told that even though they accepted our reservation and knew when it was, they were not responsible if the shuttle driver didn't want to come out at that time. The driver who picked us up from our hotel was, at least, on time picking us up. That is the only good thing about it. The seat belt was frayed to the point of only having about a half inch wide area that was intact and the driver told me he'd bet a million dollars that it was safe. The drive was fairly uneventful and we did eventually get our money back. We should have asked our son, who works for them in another city before we booked with them. He told us that that franchise is one of the worst ones in the country! I don't understand how a company can take a reservation for a specific time and not be responsible to have someone there within the 15 minutes leeway that they said they take. No thanks ever again. Their franchise should be terminated. read more

For a 5 pm flight out of Baltimore on a rainy Friday, Super Shuttle's automated scheduling set me up to be picked up in DC (Columbia Heights) at 2:45. Hello... On a rainy Friday in *this* city? I rescheduled it for 2 pm. At 1:24, I received a call from dispatch asking me to be ready at 1:40, in order to accommodate a pickup on Capitol Hill. I was not in a position to do this, so, dispatch put me in direct contact with the driver to work it out. The driver promised to arrive by 2:15. When I called at 2:15, he then promised 2:30... At 2:30, he said he was "right here" - which, as it turns out, was still a mile and a half away. He arrived at 2:35. After drop off (not sure what time it was - I was honestly too freaked out to notice) the driver texted me to check on whether I made my flight, which was thoughtful. I did manage to make it, but with only about 15 minutes to spare. I suspect I would not have been so lucky if I didn't have TSA Pre, because the standard TSA line was a mob scene. If I had stuck with their originally scheduled pick-up time, I likely would have missed the flight altogether (which would have meant missing a wedding reception on the West Coast.) I imagine dispatch is a thankless job in general, and rainy Fridays in DC will wreak havoc on any driver. Still, the lunacy of reorganizing a routing in fifteen minutes' time so that you can carpool passengers from Capitol Hill and Columbia Heights is alarming to me. The service warns that you have to allow for the time it takes to get other passengers, traffic, etc., and of course to be expected. I think I actually planned for that better than they did. Note: this review has been updated to reflect the outcome. read more

Polite safe driver. Van was clean, but arrived after pick up window. I still made it in plenty of time.

Having traveled a lot I must say this is the worst experience I have ever had. A co-worker and I booked the shuttle to pick us up at national airport (DCA) the reservation was for 7 pm as our flight arrived at 6:45pm. Two hours later we were in a shared van leaving the airport. For two hours received zero help from the telephone customer service , the direct number to dispatch was not even answered , the curbside representative was just as helpless as she could not tell Me when the next shuttle would arrive. " Her first response when asked when is the shuttle arriving was "it will be a minute"...Not the best response as it was more than 45 minutes after that question. I guess they should be reminded that they are dealing with paying customers who rely on them for a service. waiting two hours for a shuttle that I reserved is unacceptable. When the drive arrived he exclaimed "I just arrived from Baltimore"... as if that was going to make me feel better.. rule number one in business - don't make your lack of strategic planning the fault of your paying customer. Not one person made an effort to resolve this issue to anyone's satisfaction. I strongly recommend using another company, uber, lyft, bus, and Marc train, or metro before using this service. Unfortunately I can't give them a negative star rating as zero stars would be way too generous.. read more
