My daughter and I go here every now and again when we are on this side of town. It smells so good in there! I want to eat it all! Our favorite is the pastry corner. We have tried a lot of their homemade stuff and it is all made very well. They take a lot of precautions when at self-serve areas with gloves And tongs. The prices are crazy reasonable. This friendly little supermarket is my go to for fresh baked pastries, cookies and unique breads. it's located just south of I 44 Highway on Peoria. Every morning you can smell the fresh cookies and breads being baked. Some of my favorites are the low sugar gingerbread piglet cookies(picture attached) tres leches and yellow mini cake loafs. As you would expect this market has all the traditional Mexican supplies, fruits, meats and fried pork ears! Their fresh made guacamole and tomatillo salsa's are a great price. Swing by there little café and get some City Tacos and an imported bottle of Coke. I love this friendly, clean, bilingual market. read more

So this market is one of my favorites because it has literally everything that I need when I'm cooking the Latin dishes that I grew up with. When I go to Morelos, I usually have a system. I go to the produce section, grab some peppers, whole baby onions for grilling, Roma tomatoes, and very ripe sweet plantains. I skim passed the clay pottery section, grab some Mexican oregano from the spice section, and head toward the freezers to grab some Goya empanada disc's. They are ready-made disc's for you to fill with your choice of filling before sealing and frying/baking. I also grab some goya platanos maduros because they come out so good in my air fryer! I head to the meat section, and they always have a huge selection! Some are your everyday cuts that you find at the butcher block, and others are traditional Latin marinated meats. We usually grab marinated carne Asada, and a couple of pounds of cooked carnitas. If you like pork rinds, you can get fried pork rinds here that are still warm. So we head on to grab some oaxaca (like string cheese) and queso fresco from the deli. We usually grab a pound of la cubeta, or el campesino. You can also find different salads; chicken salad, macaroni salad, Cactus salad, Pico de Gallo, and many different salsas. Grab yourself a choco-flan cake from the bakery fridge, and move on to the pan dulce. Grab some tongs, a tray, and grab warm colorful seashell/concha bread, along with the empanadas de cajeta, some churros, and anything else that catches your eye, because it's ALL delicious! Don't forget to grab yourself some huge burrito tortillas, and some Tamarindo, mazapan, or duvalin candies. All of this shopping usually stirs up an appetite, so we grab some tamales de elote, or a plate of chile verde and a cold horchata from the taqueria side of the supermarket. If you'd like to try something new, check out their other Aguas frescas. They are all very tasty. If you aren't in the mood for an actual meal, and would like a unique snack, check out their corner near the produce section where you can grab a corn on the cobb with mayo and cotija cheese, or fruit with tajin. If you'd like something with fruit, tang, and spice, I recommend the mangonada! I hope this review helps and makes you want to head on in and try out some of these different items that I mentioned. read more

Best authentic mexican tacos in town. Its so hard to find REAL tacos al pastor that aren't sopping with grease. These were fresh, light and had tons of flavor. The pork tamales were small but also loaded with flavor- I am going to go back and buy some to have on-hand in my freezer! Also, the grocery store is very nice, too. Got some produce for a good price , some homemade salsas (duh!) as well as some flank steak for grilling- its a little overwhelming if you don't understand or speak spanish at all, but the staff is super helpful and friendly. read more

I have been here several times when I am buying meat for grilling. They have a very fresh vegetable & meat selection to choose from. Their pastries always smells fresh and sweet when walking by. Today was the first time I tried their little cafe out, and it was delicious! I really wasn't expecting much from their street tacos but when I took a bite....wow, the asade was full of flavor! I guess I will have to be back for my taco fixes. They were definitely as good as the tacos back in Houston. read more

Unfortunately this place is in the middle of a bad area. The cool thing is, a lot of the meat is of great quality. Meat you can get cheaper if not fresher than whole foods. Yes I realized that people with Whole foods market income probably won't come here, but if you're trying to ride the hipster band wagon, this place is definitely not main stream. They also have a restaurant inside that serves very authentic Mexican food. I highly recommend it if you can get past the culture clash. read more

If you like real Mexican food, their little deli is amazingly good and the prices are good too. We tried a burrito, tamale, and taco and all were great. They even have a garnishment bar. I'm a native of Tucson, Arizona, so naturally I have high standards when it comes to good Mexican food. My job takes me all over the country, and I often miss the great food from back home, and I've had to live in places where the Mexican cuisine was garbage. Now I live in Tulsa, and thankfully I have found Supermercados Morelos. The lunch counter here is amazing! It's so good that I had to go back the very next day. The pork tacos are my favorite. Their rojo salsa is very spicy and delicious, and it really draws out the flavor of the meat. The staff is also very friendly. And they are inexpensive! Four tacos at .99 cents apiece is an ample meal that left my belly satisfied and a smile on my face! Very good! It reminds me of the Taquerias I used to frequent in South Tucson and Nogales. I'm happy to have found this place here in Oklahoma. It's a little taste of home, and this gringo is definitely going back! read more
