I'd just like to make a request that if there's a Postage Payment issue that the carrier please come to my front door and ring so it can be resolved immediately. I fully Appreciate that they often pay the postage due out of their own pocket(s) so as not to inconvenience the customer. However that shouldn't be expected of them, although a very kind gesture, and it could become a very costly gesture even though their managers know this is a common practice. In one particular case, prompting this review, the postage was already clearly indicated as PrePaid hence my confusion as to why I owed $3.10 ... I have since talked directly to the manager of the Webster NY Post Office to have the carrier either ring my bell or leave the required legal notification with a clear explanation to come to the P.O. to resolve any issues. Hence why I gave 4 vs a lesser rating ... And yes it was very kind of our carrier taking the action he/she did as going to the P.O. can take time out of one's schedule. So Thank You ..

The reduction in manpower. Cost cutting. It makes it hard on the employees. This has happened in all businesses. There are a few remedies for customers who have postal complaints, problems. But evidently they're unaware of them, or just to lazy to follow up on their postal problems. The next time you are there, get your receipt, and the clerks name. The post office has a web site, it's FREE. It's USPS.COM You can voice your concerns. Also, maybe go a bit earlier. If you are concerned about the cost of mailing a letter due to the weight of it. Buy an extra stamp at a store and drop it in the drive by mailbox so you don't have to wait in line. A bit of humor with this statement, LOL. Once again,,,don't forget your "receipt" and "clerks name", speak your piece on their website. (USPS.COM) Or write a letter via "snail mail".

The line is typically short and the employees are quite efficient. Even on the Sat before Christmas, my parcel was accepted with a smile and a "Merry Christmas!" as I left. The full service retail section of the facility was already closed up, locked and dark. Good thing there was another self kiosk avail in the lobby, right? Wrong! That machine was "unable" to perform 4 out of the 5 services it offers. Pressed for time to get my legal documents postmarked, I decided to purchase a $4.90 package of stamps to slap on before going with plan B - regular 1st class mail. I pay for my stamps, a receipt spits out, but no f-ing stamps! Are you kidding me?! I spend another 5 mins trying to find help, all the while counting several signs warning me that I am on surveillance. Worst postal experience ever! Not looking forward to doing this all over again in the morning. The one & only star goes to employee #21 who was the only one on duty to straighten this all out for me the next afternoon.

I usually go to this bank for their free notary service for customers, but between having to chase down the notary ("she's off today") and then having the notary object to signing the document, I was in need of a professional. In other words, I was tired of dealing with some of the cluelessness at the national bank with the American flag on the logo. Marcy at Professional Notary Services came to the rescue. I emailed her asking for an appointment, and she was able to see me about 24 hours later at her office. Upon meeting her, she was warm and friendly but had a no-nonsense approach and moved quickly to business. She accurately signed the required forms without hassle and without my having to return. I have had to return to notaries before because they missed a signature here or there. Since notaries are in the business of signing documents, I want them to be accurate every time. Prices were affordable. Office location is convenient, in the High Falls area. However, I understand that Marcy also offers mobile signing services as well. Marcy exceeded all of my expectations--reasonably priced, friendly, prompt, and accurate. I was on my way in less than 15 minutes. Certainly Marcy's service will cost more than the free service that the bank offers. In my case, it was only nominally more. However, you get what you pay for with free. I will definitely return here when I need my next document witnessed. In all, the value of Professional Notary Services, Inc., is worth the extra dollars. Skip your bank.
