The line is typically short and the employees are quite efficient. Even on the Sat before Christmas, my parcel was accepted with a smile and a "Merry Christmas!" as I left. Good to know that the post office doesn't actually mandate grumpiness among employees.

I was in need of a human resource document witnessed, and the national bank that has the American…read moreflag on the logo was being silly. I usually go to this bank for their free notary service for customers, but between having to chase down the notary ("she's off today") and then having the notary object to signing the document, I was in need of a professional. In other words, I was tired of dealing with some of the cluelessness at the national bank with the American flag on the logo. Marcy at Professional Notary Services came to the rescue. I emailed her asking for an appointment, and she was able to see me about 24 hours later at her office. Upon meeting her, she was warm and friendly but had a no-nonsense approach and moved quickly to business. She accurately signed the required forms without hassle and without my having to return. I have had to return to notaries before because they missed a signature here or there. Since notaries are in the business of signing documents, I want them to be accurate every time. Prices were affordable. Office location is convenient, in the High Falls area. However, I understand that Marcy also offers mobile signing services as well. Marcy exceeded all of my expectations--reasonably priced, friendly, prompt, and accurate. I was on my way in less than 15 minutes. Certainly Marcy's service will cost more than the free service that the bank offers. In my case, it was only nominally more. However, you get what you pay for with free. I will definitely return here when I need my next document witnessed. In all, the value of Professional Notary Services, Inc., is worth the extra dollars. Skip your bank.

First time at the laundromat recently. Which appear to be working. There's free wifi as well. It's a small space and a bit cramped but still manages to fit in 6 double-load washers ($2.50/load with 2 out of order), 10 regular washers ($1.75/load with 4 out of order), 2 giant washers ($4.50/load) and 18 driers ($0.25/8min with 3 out of order). There was only me and another person at the time so it was ok but if it was a busier time, the small space might be an issue. A few people came in while I was in here but they just put in their laundry and left. There's only one laundry cart so bring a basket or something to help you move your wet clothes to the drier. $0.75 packets of tide, Clorox or bounty are available in a vending machine as well as $1 soda cans and an assortment of $0.75 snacks. There are 2 change machines as well. I used the soda machine and the bounty machine with no problems. I did one load of laundry in a regular washer and there weren't any problems -- 32 min cycle for a warm wash. Another person used one of the double washers and it made a lot of noise and shook quite a bit while washing. The drier I used seemed to work fine. It took 23 min for my load to dry -- at 15 min I took out my shirts and towels that were dry and then let the jeans and dresses that were still damp go for another 8 min on their own. Window says that the laundromat is open daily from 7am to 10pm. I'd go here again. The price isn't bad ($1.75 wash + $0.75 dry = $2.50 total per load) and there are shops in the area to explore in the meantime.
