He was responsive throughout our whole interaction and he ranks up there as one of the most thorough, helpful, and transparent roofing experts I've spoken to. You can tell he loves his vocation, treats his everyone with respect & dignity, and expects high quality workmanship from his team. Our quote was competitive and within a few thousand compared to two other similar companies. While we opted to go with another provider for our roof (it was truly a difficult choice), we'll certainly return to Volt when we're ready to install solar due to the customer service and attentiveness I experienced during the estimate process. I am always skeptical when I see companies with a skewed number of reviews, and I rarely provide a 5 star rating, but I think it's certainly deserved in this case.

Dear Tim and Magic Sun…read more Thank you so much for the trouble shooting. Though it was a simple fix that i should have figured out on my own, after a number of calls to other solar companies, Tim responded quickly and made the process much better and more affordable. That said, Magic Sun is now my forever "maintainer" and go to for solar or battery issues.

Their pricing was the best of the three contractors we considered, and they were also the only company willing to set up a non-export system so we could preserve our NEM 2.0 status and still get permission to operate from PG&E. That was a huge advantage for us, since other contractors were pushing us toward NEM 3.0. Their sales team was patient, helpful, and not pushy at all. They walked us through our options clearly, were honest about scheduling constraints, and still found a way to get us in on a pretty good timeline. They also came up with creative solutions when other issues popped up, which we really appreciated. We're very happy so far with our 14 additional panels and Tesla Powerwall 3. Rob, Brad, and Josh were all great to work with. They're highly rated for a reason.

Best price and the most knowledgeable. Zero pressure or sales tactics. Installation was straightforward and went as expected. I just past my 1-year mark with the system and it was perfectly sized for my usage. My annual PG&E electricity costs were $24.49 for the 12-month YEAR. There was also the monthly "grid connectivity fee" of about $11 which you pay regardless of having a solar system or not. I worked with Brent. He was extremely knowledgable and experienced. He did not attempt to push me on any of the options he provided. He simply educated, listened, and answered my questions. He gave me lots of space and time to decide with no pressure. I would highly recommend speaking with Brett and Prime Home Solutions. Pros: Knowledgeable. Low pressure. Best pricing of the 5 companies we shopped. Smaller sized company so you're speaking with the same individuals each time who are familiar with your system/house. Cons: I didn't really have any red flags. Communicating back and forth required follow up once or twice. The process took time and was confusing, but Prime Solutions helped to add clarity and walk me through the project.
