For backstory: We had a leak coming into our home for a few months before their service. Since they offered a complete evaluation of the roof and gutter area, I decided to go with this team. When they finished, I reached out to receive their report via email. It came back saying everything was in good shape, so we had a contractor come out to take another look. Turns out the repair needed was so obvious to the contractor (from two stories below) that he didn't even have to use his drone to evaluate the damage. It's hard to wonder how these professionals missed such a glaring problem. Just yesterday, we had a handyman come out to do the repair and while up on the roof they noted that we even had a tile completely broken in half just above the damage to the soffet and fascia (of which you could see from below). I talked to some friends in the area who had worked with and thought well of Black Anchor. So I called, liked their owner manager Richard Cassidy, and took the chance. It was a simple job and it went well, finished on time and on the original estimate. Several months ago there was a major storm in the Edgewater area with lots of tree fall damage and a substantial amount of it on my rental house. I called Black Anchor again and found to my wonderment that when insurance companies are involved the companies like Black Anchor that provide the repairs work directly with the insurance company, submit proposals to the insurer, negotiate the damage cost and reach an agreement that makes the deal. Cassidy did a great job of working with the insurer and then making the repairs. He did a very fine job of pulling it all together with minimum load on me. Because the work was well done and the insurance company handled well, I gave Black Anchor 4 stars.

I looked them up and discovered that nearly all of the ten or so companies that came by were from out of state. I researched, found Black Anchor, saw that they are local, and am very happy I went with them. They were great from beginning to end. Every single person I met on their team was courteous, pleasant and professional. I can't really imagine being any happier with this company and their work, and that's rare for me to say. If they did it all for free that might make me a little more happy but I guess that's a little unrealistic so I won't hold it against them. But they patiently helped and worked with us throughout the process, answering all our questions and helping us make sure that all the storm damage on our home was identified and addressed appropriately. And that damage in our case went beyond just damage to our roof, but also to downspouts, metal accents on the exterior of our home, window screens and more. Black Anchor helped us with all of that. They tore off our old roof and replaced it with the new roof using architectural shingles in one day. They were focused and efficient and have been a pleasure to work with all along the way. You can tell they really want to do a good job for their customers and I see why their ratings are so high here. I could go on but I think you get the picture.
