They always came on time and were incredibly diligent in their work. What I especially liked about AVC Home Improvement is that they are the ones who are actually do all the work. They are not a company who contract out their work. We had additional requests during the renovation of our full bathroom: adding lighting for the tub/shower area, installing grab bars and heated flooring. AVC didn't hesitate to accommodate our requests. They also installed a new utility room sink for the washing machine, and relocated the washing machine so that it is now next to the dryer. After a walk-through of our dream basement, Matt was timely and thorough with our project estimates which we really appreciated. He answered any questions we had without hesitation, which made him very approachable. Throughout the entire project, we knew we could communicate with him via email or text, and he was always very up-to-date with how our project was progressing. He also came by every few weeks, and he made sure everything was going as planned. Luis, our project manager, was also a great person to work with. He made sure that my husband and I were happy with his work, and whenever we came to a hiccup (and there always will be minor hiccups!), he would always consult us before continuing on. After our previous contractor left us without communication and without starting the job, we were referred to Greg, who immediately jumped in to get the job done before our move-in date: from start to finish, they were able to take down the wall, add lighting, and paint the room in one week! They offered super helpful advice and solutions to problems we didn't anticipate, like adding tasteful cedar planks to cover unfinished walls left by the previous owners. Not only were they quick and professional, but Greg patiently emailed back and forth with me while at work (since I couldn't have my phone on me) to go over my ideas and keep me updating on what was going on. We are so thankful to have been able to work with NOVA Contractors!!

We were a bit caught off guard but was willing to pay because we wanted to move forward with the project. And then, crickets. No word from Greg or the engineer. After a few ignored emails he finally responded to my husband; he thought it was a different client who he had recently met. When my husband reminded Greg that he already knew him and had come to our house, again, nothing. The last attempt to reach out to Greg was very disheartening. We were honest, saying we had reached out to other contractors, but that we like him and wanted a quote. He told us to move forward with them as he is pretty busy. Period. The end. What a waist of time!!! Unless your the more profitable project, move on!

We reached out to Trec for a free composite deck renovation project estimate…read more Connecting with their scheduling department via telephone calls only, I confirmed the date/time of the appointment, the length of the appointment, and the overall process of the walk through- ensuring I would have enough time blocked off from work to be available. After scheduling, the scheduling manager continued to contact me numerous times, prior to our meeting, to confirm my availability, in which I double checked all the pieces above. Never was I told to allow for a 30minute window, so imagine my frustration when I blocked off an hour for work 2:00-3:00pm, and the guy showed up at 2:30pm, upset with me because I needed to end at 3:00pm. The estimate went quickly. I tried to cover everything we wanted, allowing time for him to take measurements, draw schematics, and have time for follow-up questions, but it felt disconnected and rushed. I was told we would schedule a follow-up Zoom appointment to walk through everything- I scheduled a time period with the scheduling manager, again blocking off work- only to have them call 20mins before the appointment and cancel on us because they weren't ready with information. Then I waited days for them to call back to re-schedule the appointment, but never got contacted. Overall, it wasn't a good relationship. We didn't feel cared for or considered as new clients, so we removed them as a possible vendor.

Next did not come until January 2023. My deck is beautiful; however, there was and is still issues with my fence. I released payment foolishly thinking that this seemingly small issue would be quickly resolved. It has now been more than a month. I sent this email to them today. "On February 4th, I notified that the caps were missing from my gate. I informed the lender of my satisfaction expecting great customer service and that this issue would be satisfied and in a decent timeframe. To date there has been no action taken and my texts are now going unanswered. There is also issues with the lock. If I knew the follow up would be this way, I never would have approved the lender to remit payment without having these issues fixed. I'm providing text correspondences that show the lack of communication and genuine concern with resolving what was a minor issue. I have been getting the run around and now nothing for more than a month".
