After getting an estimate to repair my gutters over the summer, I waited to have them repaired…read morebecause I had too many renovations going on at the same time. I kept Justin's contact information and gave him a call anticipating the winter storms that may soon be approaching. He responded right away and remembered our previous correspondence. He followed up within 2 days to give me a new estimate since the gutters on the side of the house began to leak as well. We communicated via text, which was the best form of communication for me. He explained what needed to be repaired thoroughly and listed all the materials needed. This would be the third time I had a contractor come to repair my gutters within the last 5 years. It has been a nightmare trying to get my gutters fixed, however this time around I felt confident in hiring Justin and his crew. He sent me a quote detailing the work that needed to be done. I had fascia boards installed, aluminum capping, vinyl vented soffit, mesh covers, and a new gutter replaced only in the front of the house due to my neighbor's gutters hanging a foot onto my side of the house causing a waterfall every time it rained. Since the gutters were pretty new, I did not get new gutters for the rest of the house. They had removed and reinstalled my existing gutters. He was very fair in his pricing, so I moved forward with the contract. And he gave me a 10 year warranty! His partner, Ramon, came with installers the following day and completed the job within 2 days. They were all polite, professional, and accommodating. I would definitely recommend them. The job was beautiful and they cleaned up afterwards!

This company not only did NOT successfully do the work that they were hired for, they LIED to me…read more Yamin of Imperial Contracting of NYC Corp** had urgently asked me to write my review of his company for Angie's List before the job was totally completed because he claimed that there was a deadline imposed by Angie's List that was going to pass within two hours if I didn't write the review. Since almost all the work had been done and it all seemed fine, I agreed to write the review. However, a few months pased before I understood that Yamin and his company had not, in fact, done the work that they were contracted to do, namely properly waterproofing my porch. Yamin had verbally guaranteed the work for FIVE YEARS (see contract photo). In fact, within SIX MONTHS my porch started leaking again. I even have a few videos of the porch leaking. Here is one of the, the one I sent to Yamin for review (see below): www (dot) youtube (dot) com (slash) watch?v=9zK1rIWEy0U&feature=youtu.be I contacted Yamin about it by phone in January. He requested that I send along a video of the leak, which I did. After that, he did not contact me regarding it. I reached out to him by texts and e-mails, but he has never gotten back to me. I asked a rep at Angie's List about this supposed deadline, and here is the response from the Angie's Lit rep: "We do not have a deadline for the submission of review... Normally a review will be posted within 1-5 business days upon submission." Thus, I could have posted my review anytime, and it would have posted. So, I lost thousands of dollars by hiring Imperial Contracting, and I might have to go to Small Claims Court to get back my money if my case is not resolved through Angie's List Complaint Resolution Process. Save yourself time and trouble by using an honest contractor, not this company, who not only didn't do the job they were hired and paid for, but who does not honor their warranty, and whose rep (owner?) also lied about the Angie's List ratings policy time frame. **Suspicious: The title on Angie's List is "Imperial Contracting of NYC Corp, and the address is listed as Lincoln Avenue in Brooklyn. However, if you click on the business card, the name is also listed as Imperial Contracting of NY Corp and Imperial Construction, with an address in Ozone Park. I was told by a friend who has worked with contractors that this is how construction companies skirt bad reviews and problems.

I found JNH Construction by accident while looking for something else on Yelp. The reviews were…read morevery good so I called them. Hasan and I made an appointment for a few days later. He listened as I explained what I wanted. He described in explicit detail what could be done to remedy the situation concerning the brownstoning of the stoop and cementing beneath the stoop. At his point I had already had several price quotes and description from other vendors. Hasan's description and price was by far the best. We set a start date for 3 weeks later. Hassan's contract was in detail as was discussed. His payment plan was even better: 10% at the signing of the contract, 40% at the start of the project, 40% midway through the project, and 10% upon completion. Unbeknownst to him, this made the project even more affordable because it would take a few weeks to be completed. Additionally, he gave a timetable/estimate of how many days the work would take (depending on the weather) as well how the work would be divided into sections. Hasan came with his workers on the very first day and outlined what was to be done. He would come on a daily basis unannounced (I think) to inspect and examine completed work. His level of professionalism, skills set, and competence is unmatched by any other contractor that I have come in contact with. Hassan's workers have an excellent work ethic. They report to work in promptly and begin to work immediately. They are prepared to work complete with the appropriate materials and tools. As you watch them work one can see they are well versed in their profession. They work proficiently, diligently, skillfully, neatly, and quietly. They were very accommodating and followed requested specifications exactly. Each day they left the area they worked on spotless. I would hire them again and I strongly recommend JNH Construction Co.
