I've never had an easier experience or better outcome then I have using Kit Renovation (KitReno) for my primary bathroom remodel. It's tempting to be that person who wants to control and customize every aspect of a home project but that's where the genius of KitReno's predesigned gorgeous bathrooms come in. I don't have to spend hours picking and choosing among the latest trends, KitReno already has, and they coordinated a group of fabulous looking bathrooms for me to choose from. These designs add value to your home without over designing and making your space to "niche" or a hard-sell if and when that time comes. Picking out my new bathroom was as easy as going to the eye doctor! "Better option 1? Or option 2?" And of course there's plenty of room to customize and apply the design to your specific space from there during your consultation, but all the "heavy lifting" has been done for you. During your consultation you will address all specific needs you may have, what the current space is like, your financing options, and current lead times and future contacts should you be moving forward. The big question is always money, and KitReno was truly worth every single cent! I spent no time coordinating a calendar of materials or contractors, no exorbitant design fees , no paying for shipping or other ancillaries, they handled it all in one lump sum. I had priced my project several times over a few years and kitreno came in squarely in the middle price wise for a much more extensive, high end looking finished product than I would have gotten based on other quotes. To call their pricing a "bargain" might be accurate, but it is slanderously unchic. Shop around and you will see KitReno offers the best possible value for your remodeling budget. During my remodel I was never afraid to ask a question and never felt intimidated when reaching out. Once my specifications were noted, my financing initiated and date set all I had to do was wait for my new bathroom to be complete under expert execution of my assigned design coordinator, Deirdre. Materials arrived on time, contractors and installers promptly showed up with clear instructions and got to work immediately every day. I searched for a while to find resources to do a clunky old tub unit to shower conversion, but everywhere I turned was either too expensive, had poor aesthetics or was too daunting (meaning I had to find and organize my own subcontractors). not to mention the multiple decisions I'd have to make that I just didn't have time for. I hired Kit for a gut reno of my dated, cramped NYC bathroom. I am a researcher by nature and training, so I spoke with roughly a dozen companies before finally deciding on Kit. Bathrooms are notoriously expensive to reno, so Kit's flat pricing appealed to me. Merisa was incredibly responsive- during the planning process I sent her over a hundred emails and texts, and it rarely took her longer than a couple of hours to respond. Due to wonky 100-year-old floors and walls, my bathroom was more complex to finish than anyone had anticipated, but Kit stuck to their pricing and took their time to make it perfect. We hired Kit for a full bathroom renovation at our condo building in Hudson County (NJ). They were wonderful, transparent, and creative from start to finish. They handled the communication between ourselves and condo management with respect to demolition, elevator reservations, water shut offs, and permitting (if applicable). One of the most important aspects to me was a company that would design, procure, and build - AND work with contractors who were trustworthy. The contractor team (Raul and his team) were really fantastic at dust control (they put up a plastic zip curtain) and at the end of each day, would store all equipment & materials inside the bathroom - including during demo - so that we can come home to a pretty clean environment. We hired Kit Reno to renovate our entire bathroom. This was our first major renovation project and my wife and I were a bit nervous about how it would all turn out, but they exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have been happier with the process and final product. We are based in CT and loved working with them and the fact that they took care of everything from design (with customization) all the way to hiring contractors and overseeing the work. True to their word, the project was done in 4 weeks and 3 days from start. Merisa is awesome and very responsive to our needs. Throughout the entire process she was always there and communicated any changes about delivery times or things on back-order very quickly, so we could make adjustments and keep on track. When we also decided to make a few last minute changes (details below), she was also very open to that and they got those covered too. So, 5 stars for communication and flexibility. -They use Bee Contractors for CT, led by Bryan. Bryan is also a great communicator and would call me at least once/week to keep up to date on how things are going and the changes. Exceptional customer service by a contractor. -Bryan appointed John to work on the project at our home. That's nice because you have one point-person doing the work and who is responsible for the overall implementation (instead of 10 different people coming and going). John would then hand-off to a plumber, electrician, and/or painter when needed. But he took care of the overall project and the basics. John did a great job installing the bathroom and we love it. He's very detail oriented. We love how it all came out! -Delivery for a few things took some time, but they still managed to complete it close to what we agreed to (4 weeks) and even with the changes we asked and all the delivery issues that are affecting everyone. It is worth mentioning, that when something was needed or wrong size, they would overnight it or John would go and buy it from the local hardware store to keep the project moving. So it was nice that they really cared about getting it done on time. -Materials: We love the quality of the floor and shower tiles we ended up with (not original by design because things kept being back-ordered or going out of stock), and the mirrors. Would definitely hire them again if we have another bathroom reno project. Did not charge us a cent above what we committed to from the start. read more

Yes, very easy, moves process along easily, good customer assistance, until there wasn't. Materials were nice once some were corrected. Day 1 after Demo - Contractor left crew (who barely spoke English) to work alone on the 1st day of construction. They didn't follow the blueprints making shower smaller by 1 1/2'. Decided to change showerhead plumbing from where there was exisiting plumbing on the right, to the left where they had to take up most of a bedroom closet - without telling us. Pipes in the wall could freeze was the reason given, though there was a tub there prior with faucets, for 25 years. Even so, we should have been told. Crew did not react well to us being angry over the damage & having to rip up the entire shower & start over. We didn't trust them after that. They did not take well to being confronted by a woman especially. They walked off the job (my husband & I were arguing in the kitchen, in private, on another floor, they thought it was hostile), but not before they reversed all the plumbing in the shower and tub - cold is hot/hot is cold. They also lived hours from our home & didn't seem to want to be here. The faucets in the tub had to be fixed because they were installed crooked too; according to the contractor nothing could be done about the reversed faucets. Speaking of the tub, the first one delivered was a mini tub that would have been too small for a child. The contractor found another "guy" who finished everything with him; 2 people, plus the contractor's brother who came once. The "guy" had engine trouble the whole time and lived an hour away. The process was delayed over & over. We assumed the original crew was licensed to do electric & they worked on it; they called in an electrician once to do do one fixture. We had to hire a very expensive electrician after the fact, to fix what they did because we started having shorts & lost power in half the house; he also removed a light switch the crew had put in because legally it was too close to the tub. They installed a light wrong in the closet they destroyed & had to rip & fix that as well. The paint job in the bathroom needed to be cleaned up twice because "guy" did not use tape; he also only did one coat as the paint chips if your nail hits the wall while cleaning the counter. We sent them tons of photos and information & measurements, plus lots of calls with Merisa, but the contractor & guy had no idea how to handle the laundry shute. Not prepared, rigged something up so clothes won't get snagged on nails & splinters. Everything we discussed in all those calls seemed to go by the wayside in practice. We'd had a leak under the old shower which the contractor & "guy" assured us was fixed once they sealed everything up to put in the new floors and new tub above it. The leak is starting to appear again even though that tub is seldom used. Now we have to call a plumber and spend more money because it appears nothing was fixed afterall. Too many headaches (I'm sure I forgot some) for the price it costs you to fix what they do. No, would not recommend. read more
