I was also not advised I was not getting an OEM windshield, I paid out of pocket for my windshield and for $1300 I expected a factory windshield, no one there was helpful and once I got the I voice $750 was for calibration for a front camera... even though my vehicle does not have one. The shop went ahead with the replacement without telling me beforehand that they couldn't calibrate my vehicle's safety system afterward. Only after the job was done did they tell me I'd need to go to the dealership and pay almost $600 out of pocket to get the calibration done -- with just a "you can try to get reimbursed" comment. That's not how you handle customers. If you know you can't complete the full service that a modern windshield replacement requires, you should notify customers before doing the work so they can decide if they want to go elsewhere. I expected full transparency, not an expensive surprise after the fact. Poor communication and bad business practice overall.

Take it to Doug Lothrop at Auto Glass Centre in Middle bro the RV repair shop said. Boy that was one of the best recommendations I've ever had. Doug took care of everything. My insurance company was slow to react, but Doug thought ahead and ordered ahead. The sticker ran out while the RV was at the repair shop, so Doug drove over there to replace the glass, saving me from driving to the repair place and then back to his place, etc, etc. He saved me a half day of driving and did a first-rate job replacing the glass. Now I have a beautiful new windshield and I can pick up the newly-inspected RV on my own schedule. For competence, flexibility, and pleasure to deal with just go to see Doug in Middleboro.
