I wanted to come back and give them a second chance to redeem themselves. I ended up walking out because I made an appointment and when I came in was not greeted and waited at the counter until someone finally acknowledged me and told I'd be helped in 5-10 minutes because my hairstylist was finishing up with another customer. Okay no worries, I told them. I popped in some headphones on low volume and watched a 10 minute video on YouTube to wait. When I looked up to check on things my hair stylist was walking around talking to everyone else about the haircuts they were giving and avoiding eye contact with me. I sat there for another 30 minutes and was the only person in the waiting area. All the other haircuts got finished and then the four of them look at me and go "okay we're are ready for you". I asked if any of them specialized in short hair and they said no we only do long hair. I got up and left. read more

If I could give a zero I would. Do not let them color your hair. I came in with all natural silver grey hair. I ask them to help with a little bit of a brown band around my ears. I was there four hours. They destroyed my hair. Over processed it, bleached it in places they didn't need to even touch. They let brown toner drain down the back of my white shirt and didn't even tell me. The girl was new to coloring and the other girls in the store sat in the customer chairs and ate snacks and talked in between clients. No one even tried to help her. All they said was they were not going to charge me, but they could not fix it. The corporate office called and said if they didn't charge me there's nothing she can refund. It's over $450 to color correct this mess and the hair is destroyed. I am filing a lawsuit for damages. The corporate office doesn't care, don't go there at all. read more

what a rip off. My hair color looked like it was done at home. Walked out with a wet head after paying $120. I'm a senior. I should've gotten a senior haircut ($19) rate and the color was just a root touchup which max is $45. My bad for not questioning. Sandy said the rates went up. Definitely will not go there again. I haven't been to a Supercuts in years and years as I've been going to a local barber. But I was in a hurry to get a haircut before my trip and they are open to 7 on this evening I went. I was seated right away and had my haircut in almost no time. The stylist was quick but efficient, asked questions about my hair, and even uses scissors (when I love more than the razor!). I was quite happy, maybe the fastest cut ever. I don't have a lot of hair these days anyhow. I'll probably be back and since they're open 7 days a week this makes it so much easier for my work schedule to get in. The cut was $13. Good deal! And on a credit/debit card- perfect! read more

They really need more stylists working! I'm always have to wait up to 45 minutes for a haircut.... that's too long. The stylists usually do a good job but the wait is crazy. I've been going to this location for probably close to 20 years. Like another yelper said, they have varying skills and competency of the stylus. You never know what you're going to get. The rotation of the stylist drives me crazy. Once you find someone you like, after 2-3 visits they're done and you can never have them again. The last two times I've gone in to get my haircut I was told 10 to 15 minutes and it's taking over 30 to wait. Today I went in there was Only one stylist working and two people waiting for haircut. This is probably one of the worst places to get your hair cut. My boyfriend is a very patient and understanding person, but the last two times he got his hair done here he came home extremely disappointed and angry. The first time he went the staff was rude, and he was hesitant to get his hair done but went ahead with it. He told the women how he would like his hair cut and she brushed it off and did it her way. The fade he had gotten was crooked, and his bangs were not aligned. He then decided to give them a second chance, the second time was the last time he went. He asked the lady how long the wait would be and she said about 15 minutes he said it was fine and waited. About 30 minutes later a walk in came in, they had no appointment. They took the walk in ahead of my boyfriend, so needless to say my boyfriend walked out. read more

I have been going to this Supercuts for probably 5 years. Over the last 2 years it seems they have cycled multiple stylists with varying talent. I never know if I am going to get someone competent or not. I also have a problem when I call ahead and they tell me the wait will be 30 minutes and I show up and wait an additional 45 minutes. I understand that you cannot time a haircut down to the minute but I think it should only take basic competence to see who is waiting and make an accurate estimate. Jazz is very knowledgeable about her profession, personable, and engaging... and I was impressed by how thorough she was. Plus, the online app to schedule my appointment worked great. She walked me through everything she was doing so I could request this style again and not just say "I don't know, shorter" next time. I had a fantastic experience here this morning. It takes me usually about two hours to gear myself up for leaving the apartment so I usually use their app to check in before walking over there. I was pleasantly surprised when I showed up and was the only one there and was greeted immediately by Gayle. I adored Gayle and how well she did her job. She listened to me and made suggestions and was thorough in explaining to me what she had in mind. I cannot gush enough about how amazing of an experience I had when usually I have so much anxiety when going out and interacting with people. I have going to this Supercuts for 2 straight years now and haven't gone to any other in the city. They have treated me very respectful and courteous as a customer. Plus, they are very good at what they do. I tell them a style I want, and they do it. Very well I might add. They've given me advice on how to maintain certain styles and different hair products to use depending on certain length of hair. They have discounts for certain occupations as well! One barber, Haley, is one I highly recommend to ask for if one wants to get a really good haircut. Overall, I was hooked onto this place from the start. I stopped at the Wilmot location, and was told there would be a wait of 40 minutes. After an hour, I questioned them and was told it would be at least another 30 minutes - and perhaps more as people were taking their lunch break. I suspect they knew it would be longer in the first place, but didn't want to lose the business. To the Franchise owner: I blame you. It is my understanding you own and run all of the Tucson locations. This has happened at every location I have visited this year. The people who work there are fine and do a good job, but you have 6-8 chairs in most location and most of the time only one or two people working, and at least 3 people sitting there waiting (who knows how many more on the online list?). You need to staff these locations better if you want customers to return. Me? I plan on checking out other salons. After 30 years of visiting Supercuts, I'm ready to find a new place. It's a shame, too - as I said, the people working there are fine. There just aren't enough of them.
