So I hate to complain about hair stuff but this is just a warning... I went in just for a trim and layers. It looked okay when it was wet and I was leaving, but when I got home and straightened it, it was very uneven and chunky and now I need to go to a different place to get it corrected and I'm going to need to cut off a good amount when I was trying to grow it out. They were nice and when I called in and they said they would fix it for me, but after thinking about it I don't trust going back to get it fixed. Again nothing at all to do with the customer service, they were all friendly. I'm just really sad about the cut and spending almost $30 when I need to go pay more for a correction. Update: I now have hair just past my shoulders when it used to be near the bottom of my back because it was messed up so badly in so many spots. So much for a trim. read more

They're hit or miss depending on who they have working. Seems like the store has a lot of turn over. I'm kinda done with them tho - I checked in online and arrived a few minutes before the nominal estimated time and was told 35-45 minute wait when I got there. Not optimal but fine. I got my hair cut today at this Supercuts and the lady who cut my hair was super rude after I told her what I wanted. She didn't talk to me at all during the whole haircut. After she was done she didn't bring a mirror to show me if I liked how my hair looked and when I got home, my hair was super lopsided. Supercuts is always hit and miss depending on who they recently fired. But the people that get to fill in in the interim, the supervisors and these other people, are the worst possible people at everything they do! I came into this place at 4:45 and she told me it would be 30 minutes. So I left, went to Safeway.... and I came back 30 minutes later and she told me it would be another 30 minutes. So I ensured that I was on the list and that I was queued up in the line. and then I left and got food to eat next door. Came back in 30...., waited another 30 minutes and she just took someone else before me! I am done here! I will possibly reconsider once Cynthia is back from maternity. So, according to one of the stylists here, I have been doing every beauty ritual wrong my entire life. I didn't know this, but she was pretty adamant. I am getting ahead of myself. Allow me to start from the beginning. So my boyfriend decided he needed a haircut, and I needed a slight trim as well, so we decided to go to Super Cuts to get this all taken care of. We made appointments, and went in about ten minutes early. Now, I would like to preface this with something. I have been trying to grow out my hair. I had it cut to about an inch, and after much backlash from my family and getting tired of having to cut it every few weeks, I decided to grow it out. When I went in, it was just below my shoulders, and I was so proud and happy to be able to put my hair up. When the stylist and I were going over what I wanted before we went back for the shampoo, I told her I just wanted a trim to take the split ends off. She offered to put layers in my hair, and I said ok, that maybe it was time for a change. Off we go for a shampoo and eye brow wax. Now, I will openly admit that I had waited a little longer than usual to get my eye brows done, and they looked a tiny bit unkempt. Just a tiny bit...or at least that's what I was telling myself at the time. In truth they were pretty bad. Anyway, this is beside the point. As it turns out, I have been going to wrong place to get them done. My stylist was quite snarky with me and acted as though she could not believe the barbaric statements coming from my mouth when I told her I go to a nail place for my eye brow maintenance. So she waxed them and they looked fine at first. Later on that same day, I realized she had taken a stripe out of the middle, forcing me to do some kind of lame comb over for the next four weeks until it grew back. On we go to the shampoo. This is where things get fun. She literally asked me the same question three times. What am I doing with the rest of my day? Each time, I answered the exact same way, hoping that she just went on autopilot for a moment and was indeed listening to what I was saying. Nope. She then asked what sort of shampoo I use. Now, I do use a good shampoo. It is not a $15 a bottle brand, but since I started using it my hair has gotten softer, thicker, healthier, and infinitely more manageable. I was wrong. I should have been using their $15 a bottle shampoo. So, she asked me what kind I had shampoo I had been using. When I told her, she stated, and I quote "oh, no wonder your hair is so dry. You should really think about upgrading shampoos. You know, we have ours that is normally $20 a bottle, but right now you can get both for $30." It was in this moment that I knew...I could have said I use a shampoo made from the blood of a virgin goat slaughtered at the eighth full moon of the Year of the Platupus on the highest mountain in Zurich at exactly 11:43 pm, and I still would have needed to buy theirs. I don't blame her for trying to up sell. But at this point I knew she was not listening to a thing that I said, so screw your up sell, I am happy with the shampoo that I use. I lost my trust. I did NOT want this girl to put layers in my hair, not after everything we had just been through in the back. So I sit down in the chair and tell her I don't want layers anymore, I just want a trim off of the ends, and nothing more. She says no, I am getting layers, that she knows what she is doing and asks me if I am scared. I say yes, but don't say it's because I don't trust her, I just said yes, that I was scared. I feel this is where I went wrong, because again, she says no, i am getting layers, and promises me that I will still be able to put my hair in a pony tail, which I had already described to her as one of my chief concerns when I walked in. So, guess who has two thumbs and can no longer put her hair in a pony tail? This girl! My boyfriend comes out, happy as can be, blithering on about how great the Tea Tree Treatment is, how much he loved the hair cut experience. Then comes my favorite part. The girl that cut my hair rings me up, and asks how much I want to leave as a tip. Now, of course I left one, and would have even if this girl didn't ask me how much money I was going to be giving her. And this really falls more on Super Cuts than the girl cutting my hair, but lots of places have a space for you to leave the tip on the copy of the receipt that you sign. It's really awkward having someone ask you for a tip...sort of like when you go to restaurants and you pay with cash and your server asks you if you want change. Just rubs me the wrong way... I don't think I will be back to Super Cuts. read more

Martha took good care of me ,I walked in for a quick haircut and the shop was slightly busy but that was okay because a busy shop is like a busy restaurant'...something good is happening inside' and I wasn't in a hurry either so the haircut was worth waiting for and in just a few minutes she had me looking exactly the way I wanted to look. She made me glad that I came in today and I felt so comfortable around her that I followed her recommendation and purchased a product for my hair.she thanked me for my patience and was very polite and spoke highly of her employer . My husband regularly goes here for his haircuts and they have always done a wonderful job. His cut is basic though, so when my eldest wanted a pixie cut, I was apprehensive. Her stylist did an exceptional job! My daughter had a picture and her hair was cut and styled exactly like she wanted. Quite frankly, I've never seen a stylist replicate a picture so perfectly! When it came time to pay, we couldn't believe the price. Under $20 for a perfect haircut. I'm a guy who has had the same hair cut since I was 12. I figured out when I was that age how to speak "hair cut language" to get exactly what I want every time no matter what barber shop I walk into. That said, this place does right by me, and they do my hair cut extremely well every time. So why not 5 stars? Because. My haircut is a number 3 blended in, over the ears, rounded off in back. Depending on how long I've waited, its usually about an inch and a half off the top. Any cosmetologist reading this could tell you they could probably train a monkey to do my haircut for me. In the 16 years I've been ordering this haircut, I've had it done badly probably 3 times. Its hard to mess up because most of the work is done by the clippers. I just don't see how that deserves some sort of standing ovation on my part. So why not 3 or fewer stars? Well, the people here are nice. They do a consistently good job for me. And I like the fact that the offer other services for men that border on spa treatments. For example, I have fairly thick hair so I usually (and always during the summer months) will have them use thinning shears. But this creates a lot of tiny little pieces of hair that itch if not taken care of right away, so I will have them shampoo my hair after the cut. One time, like 2 years ago, one of the ladies offered me a "Tea Tree Experience" and I said, "Sure! Fire that up and throw it at my face!" And it was wonderful. Its basically a scalp massage with some nicer shampoos and conditioners that have menthol so it leaves you all cool and refreshed feeling. Meanwhile they put a nice hot towel over your face, it was very calming and relaxing. More than what you would expect to get out of a little strip mall place like this. So I've been doing them ever since. My wife came here once and left very disappointed. I have never left anything but satisfied. So take that for what it's worth. read more

I arrived around 3:30pm to an empty salon and 2 hair cutters having a conversation in the back of the store. I was not acknowledged when I walked in, and waited around 2 minutes before I opened the front door again, so they would hear the door bell again to know I was just standing there. I was then asked my name in a rather bothersome tone by one hair cutter and, handed off to a pleasant young lady who did a fine job of giving me the trim I asked for. When it was time to pay, my hair cutter apologized for keeping me waiting earlier and offered a senior discount on my cut, even though I didn't qualify for the discount. I thanked her for that gesture. I will however not be returning to this Supercuts, as I feel there are a ton of other places to get a trim with no 'attitude' provided by staff members, who can't seem to stop their conversation long enough to acknowledge a paying customer has just walked into the establishment read more

Very poor customer service experience. Not recommended at all. Came in with my son for a haircut and put his name on a list. Lady tells me it will be 20 to 30 minutes wait. I tell them that's fine and we will be right back. We walked next door and had a sandwich. Back in time for the 20 minutes and sit down in the lobby to wait for them to call us. After ten minutes longer the woman who checked us in comes to let us know that while we were next door they took a walk in ahead of us for a color and that it will be another 30 min at least. I have been coming here for 4 years during my tenure at the University of Arizona and have never had a problem.
