The receptionist and I traded a few texts to clarify what I was looking to get done and what my hair was like (curly or straight, length, etc.) which I was impressed with...I'm assuming they wanted to set me up with someone who specialized in my hair type. She booked an appointment for me with Paty and I'm so thankful she did! Paty was friendly and knowledgeable and she did a great job with my touch-up! She even took the time to write down some sites and restaurants in the area that she suggested we check out. I went in for a haircut with face framing layers on my butt length hair. I wanted to keep the length but add dimension around my face. Felicia was incredible. She made sure to do exactly what I wanted, whilst adding her professional advice and not pushing me to remove more length than I wanted. It is truthfully the best haircut of my life. I have had many cuts and styles and frequented salons across the country but none compared to the service I received at Circa 79. My Stylist Annie Rose is by far the best I've had since moving to Tucson 10 years ago. She looked at the photos of the cut I wanted and took into consideration that I was a 70+ Senior Citizen with hair down the middle of my back and looking at such a radical haircut, that I might not want to go that extreme. She suggested a Bob cut first and if I wanted to go shorter after seeing the Bob, she would comply. I agreed and after she started and realize that I had my mind set on shaving the sides and back (a fade), she went for it. It turned out amazing and I loved it!!! Annie Rose also did my cousin's hair. She wanted a BOB and it turned out exactly like she wanted and blew out and styled was absolutely gorgeous! The salon is not only clean but beautiful and the stalls were place in a way that felt private and yet quite open. It was not your typical linear (all in line) work stations. I needed to find a new stylist for my thick wavy hair and made an appointment with Bryan. I tend to like short to medium styles and showed him some photos of what I liked. He took them all in and gave me a super cute razor cut that I just love! He even thought to rinse my hair out after all the cutting - so no need to wash my hair when I got home! The gal at the front desk was super sweet and since it was my first time there pointed out the bathrooms and fridge with water. The place has a wonderfully welcoming airy energy and it is evident that there are a lot of regulars. The stylist who colored by hair, unfortunately did not have enough skill or understanding to do a root touch up to match my current color. We spent at least 10-15 minutes going over the color I wanted but she seemed unsure. She made my hair extremely dark at the roots and brought that color halfway down my hair. I was clearly unhappy with the weird shade of my hair. I paid over $200 for what was supposed to be a simple root touch up. After a few days I realized I couldn't deal with this awful color, I came back in that week to have it fixed and the stylist seemed annoyed and confused. She didn't seem like she wanted to help me fix the problem she caused. She said she couldn't fix it or give me the shade I wanted without bleaching it, which is totally incorrect. I know because I had it fixed elsewhere and no bleach of any form was needed. I am giving them a higher rating because the assistant at the front desk returned my money, which I appreciate.
