I have been twice to this salon in Kihei and Holly has been my stylist both times. She is WONDERFUL!! Not only is she fun and friendly, but she really listned to my input and was willing to work with me to get the perfect cut. I am SO happy to have found her. I have been to various other salons on the island and have paid upt to 3x the amount that Supercuts charges (only $20 for a cut!). I also had a brow wax from Holly and it was one of the best I have had as well. She took the time to trim and shape my brows to perfection. I called and made an appointment with Sam at 6pm to cut my 6 year olds hair. We got there at 5:50. Sam finish with the person before me then just left the the salon without saying a word to us. Michele ended up cutting his hair 30 min later. SAMs shows back up 45 mins later. I can't believe he scheduled the appointment then just left us hanging like that. Extremely rude of him. I am really disappointed in this particular location!! I have my haircut at the other locations on the island and have been very pleased.. Today I came to this location because of convenience.. Unfortunately I will never go back and drive the extra miles for not only a good haircut but mostly customer service!! When I walked it they didn't greet me and when they finally did acted like they were doing ME a favor taking my name. Took them a few minutes to take my name although they were not busy. 2 customers, 2 stylists ..My instinct told me to leave but I felt that would be rude. My stylist didn't seem to care about my hair and rushed through the cut. I can handle an okay cut but I also like feeling welcome I just took my 83 year old mom to this Supercuts'..The same woman cut my moms hair. Mom is not picky but walked out saying she never wants to go back to this woman again. I asked her why and she said she didn't listen to anything I told her I wanted her to do. I checked in online as I always do, usually just before I leave my house and I arrive right in time. Today there was a 15 minute wait, which is no big deal. I got to the salon just a minute or two after checking in since I was elsewhere in the plaza. Either Sam or Jeff came over to start checking myself and two other people in. I explained that I was already checked in via the mobile app, but was told "we will help you after these people." I questioned it because I was on the list before them and his response was "they were in here before you." I've checked in online many times and have never had this happen before. Seems that your stylists make up their own rules as they go for whatever suits them at that time. What is the point of an online check in system if you arrive only to be told you're going to wait for everyone else anyway??? If you make an appointment or a reservation somewhere, it doesn't matter who walks in before you, you're name is at the top of the list. Very poor customer service. I usually don't go to super cuts because I usually get so so hair cuts from them but since I was on vacation and had time I went to get my hair cut. My stylist was Phyllis and we was great. She's very personable and really did a good job on cutting my hair. If I lived on Maui she would be the one I would choose to always go to! Ask for Phyllis. read more

Finding a decent stylist for men is hard enough as it is on this island. Once you do find one it seems they are never consistent with their cuts. This is not the case for SAM at Piikea supercuts. All three times I've come here Sam has successfully cut exactly what I describe. He takes his time and is very detailed oriented yet timely and the hands of someone who has been doing it they're whole life. read more

Tall blonde hairdresser short hair ( forgot her name I think it's Phillis ) likes to TALK more than she cuts. It took FOREVER for a simple cut. She can't talk and cut at the same time.. Went in as "walk-in" as it says on the door. I was greeted and I was told to put name on the list and he'll put me in on the computer. I sat down and waited for my turn. 10 mins later, this heavy set lady asked if we called in a head of time, I said "no, just WALK-IN." She showed signs of disappointment that we walked in and it's close to their closing time! It was only 4:20pm and I figured, if they close at 5pm, that would be enough time. Her impression of me "waiting" was for me to either "wait" for an opening spot for my turn and see if they can take me before it turns 5pm, or I can leave because they won't make it in time for me before they close. REALLY!!!? Then as I was about to walk out because why would I waste my time waiting for the clock to strike 5pm and I won't even get service. LOL. Anyway, then the lady walked back towards her client and started talking to her other co-workers saying "ohhh.. I don't mind staying late if we have to but we close at 5pm" After hearing that remark, I took my money else where. As I walked out the door, her comment was she could've squeezed me in.. HAHA. That's not what you implied lady. If you said that to me in the beginning, other than telling me to "wait and see" if you can take me, I would've stayed. First off AC was not working so it was uncomfortable. Then I showed a picture of what I would like done, she glanced at it and that's when I knew this is not gonna go well. So in the end I basically got a trim, and just left it at that before she completely botched my hair. I made an appointment for 3:00 for a shampoo, cut, & style. I arrived about 10 minutes early because I hate being late. I sat in the waiting are and watched as they took 2 walk-ins before me. The hair stylist I was assigned to was apparently too busy talking on the phone. I was finally helped at 3:27. To me it is unacceptable to wait that long when you have an appointment. The cut and style was good & what I wanted, but when I went to pay the blow dry cost was $3 more than what I was told it would be. The girl at the counter had to ask the stylist what the starting price for a blow dry/style is, instead of just checking the POS which she was standing right in front of. And APPARENTLY here it starts at $25. BULLSHIT. Every other Supercuts STARTS at $10.25 and shouldn't be more than like $40 for mid back length. Never coming here and I DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Went in for a haircut 1/27 about noon and there was a little arguing about who would get which customer. Also were talking a little about other customers so not very professional. This is the first time I have gotten a haircut that I really did not like. I normally explain a haircut and then they ask additional questions but this time she went to town on my hair.
