I reserved my appointment for a haircut and shampoo $40. Easily done on the Supercuts app. Arrived around scheduled time, waited about 5 minutes of appointment time. I saw Dee, down-to-earth lady, did my hair exactly how i wanted it done. Asked about my ends and inquired about how short but decided against it and asked for 1-1/2" cut and long layers in front only. Happy with my overall cut! I will return in a few months. read more

I would give a 0 star review if it was an option. Usually when i want a budget from Supercuts its alright. Today i got my hair cut and it seemed the person who cut my hair knew what she was doing. I asked for a high burst fade and fade and blend behind my head. I usually do a comb over with my fade, when she styled my hair it looked fine, when i got home and showered i noticed that if i dont have the comb over it looks a blend between a mullet fade and a mohawk. At first I wanted to just take a few inches off because long hair can get to be a drag sometimes. However, after talking to the stylist I felt like she knew what she was doing so I decided on having layers done as well. Since my long time stylist moved to the mainland I've had a lot of trouble finding someone who can cut my hair the way I want it cut. Well, I think I finally found that person. She did an excellent job by first asking a lot of questions and really tried to understand what I wanted. Then she skillfully cut my hair as requested. Im impressed because it's hard to find someone who will listen and then actually cut your hair in a way that you request especially when what you want may be a little different from everyone else. I'm very pleased with the service that I get when I come here. Mie, my hairstylist is very welcoming and I do like the way she cuts my hair, colors, and styles it. She's very friendly and accommodating to how I want my haircut done and styled. The only thing that I do not care for at all is the sink where they wash your hair. They only have a small sink for all the customers that come here, and the chair that they have in front of it is very uncomfortable for taller people. I was very surprised when I first saw it and did not care for it at all! I really think they need to invest in a decent sink(s) and comfortable chair(s) to go along with it. It would make all the difference at this location, where it is quite busy. I love or should I say used to love coming here for a haircut, but now because of COVID-19 they charge and additional $3.95 per customer for sanitization surcharge. Which I think is absolutely ridiculous. You already pay $21.99 for a cut plus the $3.95 and tip! Another customer came in and had Dee working on her hair when Dee kept yelling at the other worker! Dee was complaining to the customer whom I assume was her friend. That she hated going to the outer island to work, how she go to get a rental car and some other things! Being a manager you should have some respect for you're worker's and for the customer's Hostile environment for that poor lady and for the customer's who had to deal with Dee's ranting and raving! I've never thought of super cuts as a place to get a great haircut. It was a place for men and children. However I had this headache that wouldn't go away that happens when my hair cuts too long. I couldn't get into my usual place and I was desperate so I went. Holy cow. Alyssa changed my life. Made an appointment for 11:40am the day before. Walked in at 11:42am for my appointment, and there were two stylists mid-way with two customers' haircuts. The stylist that walked up to me didn't acknowledge they were running behind or that I had an appointment. My stylist started my appointment at 12pm and told me she didn't know if I had an appointment. When I expressed that they didn't acknowledge my appointment, both stylists said they always run late, that's just how it is. They never apologized or acknowledged they started me late. Then, at the end of my haircut, the stylist blow dried my wavy hair without any product in it. Anyone with long naturally wavy hair knows you don't just blow dry it, let alone brush it. It ends up looking poofy like a Pomeranian. A professional hairdresser should know these basic things. read more

Also didn't seem like the stylist I saw was comfortable working with curly hair at all. Let me start with, I have very difficult hair. Slightly curly and limp, very thin to the point that the top portion my scalp shows. So finding someone that understands and can assist with what type of cut and how to cut is rare. I have been to many high end salons trying to find someone that would cut my hair just right. I finally gave up and let my hair grow and just put it up everyday. I've been going to this location for years now just to trim the ends once in a while when it got too long. Anyone would do since that was all I was doing. Last year sometime, I needed a change and decided to back and have someone give me a shorter cut so I could style it and leave it down. That's when I the hair gods put me with Char. She understood what I wanted and my problems and suggested cutting my hair a certain way to achieve what I needed. OMG!! I can't remember the name of the girl that cut my hair... she had pink hair. I told her exactly how I wanted my hair, asked her not to use the razor scissors and layer it just enough that I can tie my hair up. My hair came out perfect! I'm not high maintenance but I really liked how she cut my hair. The receptionist needs to be retrained! I called around 6pm Saturday evening to check if they had any vacancies left for two haircuts only. The reply was that they closed at 7pm. Awful. Went twice. Haircut was slightly below average at best, but worst is the lack of adherence to appointments. Both times i showed up 10 minutes early to my appointment and had to wait over an hour. Either they don't respect appointments, or they're horrible at staying on schedule. Today I walked in all excited to get a new haircut since I havent done anything with my hair in the last 6 months. Alyssa came to the counter to look up my number. I asked what the number was for, this being my second visit. She said idk what number i just need a number. So i gave a number i had from my last visit. The email on profile was not correct. I let her know i did not receive my $2 off next visit coupon. She said well she doesn't know. She didn't bother to even try to honor, didn't apologize, or tried to see what she could do. She yelled and raised her voice and said she has no control over it and its the mainland. My mother heard the commotion and walked over to see what happened. Ask i explain to my mom Alyssa kept butting in and raising her voice. Then I asked for a manager and she said she left already. I asked if she could call the manager and check if they could honor the coupon and she said shes driving. She walked away to continue the haircut on someone she was working on. The other salon girl ignored me when i asked if they could do anything about it. I said should i go elsewhere since you dont want to ask your manager both just looked at me. I stepped out but before i did the other salonist checked in a female customer who had walked in. But Alyssa still had not checked me in on the list. I stepped out to call the keeamoku location and explained what went on she said as a manager she would honor it and asked me to come to her store. After going back in and letting them know what the town store said she called her manager and got approval. Before leaving i asked for her name and told her id be going else where for better service and walked out. I would never return. This Supercuts is hit or miss. My husband comes here to get his haircut every so often. His semi-military cut sometimes comes out looking like a mushroom head (short on the bottom with no transition into longer hair on top). I have cut his hair once and even though it came out shorter than his usual cut, I was still able to transition between the 1 on bottom and the longer hair on top and it was my first time! Don't come here wanting the hairdresser to be "creative", if you want something for your face shape or whatever go to a professional salon. They do an OK job for their $18 price. read more

All I got to say about this place is: Don't bother. A complete waste of time. My friend and I walked in when there were two people in the salon with us. Just looking to get a simple haircut for him, we put his name down and expected the Wait to be about 30minutes. There were 3 people working. ......... 30minutes passed and now there are 3 people in here we didn't see earlier. ............30more minutes passed, with everyone gone from the waiting area except for one more person. Waited ANOTHER 30MINUTES. And now we're the only ones waiting. If the wait was going to be over an hour and a half, the least they could've done was give us the heads up so we didn't waste our time waiting for a haircut that would've taken less than 20minutes. This one star isn't about the haircut (because I didn't even get it) but the fact that I had to wait half an hour while people got their haircuts. I understand that there were some that called in before and made an appointment... but literally this one guy that walked in and said he didn't make an appointment got his haircut before me. and he only was in there for about ten minutes.
