Stylists are very nice and competent, but walk-ins are NOT welcomed anymore (no matter what their signs say). I walked in and there was no one waiting and it was not busy at all, but I was told the wait would be more than a half hour! I thought they were joking. Beware. You think you are going to get a reasonable wash, cut and blow dry. They charge Ala carte and double charge more than other Super cuts. They do not show prices online and then charge more than an upscale Salon for a mediocre cut. They claim to have told my daughter how much it would cost prior to the service. She walked out paying $70.00.!!!!!!!! $30 dollars to Blow-dry her hair. That is such a ripoff. When I spoke to Management I'm told that is the normal cost. $28 FOR A WASH AND CUT $30 TO USE SOME HOT AIR to dry my daughters hair!!! Whenever I'm in need of a haircut, I try to get to the Hackettstown Supercuts. I never ever get anything but an awesome amazing cut from friendly, knowledgeable stylists. Lyndsey has done my hair lately and she does a fantastic job! Though the others also do a great job. Every time. Also, I made my appointment online about an hour before I got there. Several attributes make her a good choice for your stylist. From her expertise in delivering a great messaging hair / scalp wash to her attentiveness is learning how "you prefer" your hair to be styled to her willingness to engage in a good conversation while never loosing track of why you are there. I've been bringing my daughter here to get her hair cut for a few months now and have never had an issue. I brought her in to get her bangs and hair trimmed and it looked fine there. I gave her a shower the next day and dried her hair and it was completely uneven. I brought her back and the manager "fixed" it and when I looked at it I told her it was still uneven and she told me that it's not, that's just the way her hair lays. I ended up taking her to the salon that I go to and the stylist I use said that her hair is off by at least an inch from the left side of her head to the right. To say I am unhappy that not one but two people screwed up her hair is an understatement. I will never be going back there again. read more

What a bunch of TRASH! The people who work there (with the exception of Romi and Elizabeth) are so unprofessional! They talk and talk all over you and it is extremely uncomfortable! I know it's a hair salon but come on!!! There is got to be some decorum! If they worked as fast as they talk, they wouldn't have people waiting for 1 1/2 hrs! And on top of that, the service is mediocre. Romi, Elizabeth and the guy are not too bad working but the others are below average... Every time I go, I leave disappointed! RUINED my hair. Don't ever go there for balayage. The lady turned my hair orange, and completely destroyed it. I said my hair felt stressed out from all the damage, and she looked at me and said "I think it's because you're stressed out". Are you kidding me? They still tried to charge me after that, I wanted light brown balayage and my whole head was orange. The tips of my hair the next day were turning white and BREAKING off. This happened to me two years ago and my hair is still trying to get back to how it was. It was half my fault for even thinking these people were capable to pull off a balayage, but then again she was the one that went to school for this. I stopped in to the Hackettstown location yesterday and after a short wait, popped up in to the barber chair of Andy and subjected myself to his creative hands. He didn't disappoint, having taken an unruly mane of some 10 inch hair down to a shorter, very manageable and confident supercut, bringing back the confidence I need for a new career. The place is on the cheap, with a basic men's cut starting at $17. Though they have an online "check-in" system (not an appointment), I'm not sure how it applies any favor to the customer, however with three people waiting before me, my wait was still just 15 minutes. Every time you go to this location in the Mansfield Commons shopping area in Hackettstown New Jersey there is over an hour wait if you check in and it says there's a 25 minute wait online and you arrive at your arrival time regardless you wait one hour. The employees do not even address you when you arrive and then proceeded to call every person in the place beforeCali. I waited 55 minutes I did not even get a haircut or color. read more

I called yesterday to set up an appointment for today for a wash and blow out straight. The woman who answered made the appointment. I go today, and a redhead woman said she couldn't find my 2pm appointment, She kept saying she is the only one who answers the phone and she didn't talk to me. I said I made an appointment and spoke to a woman. She basically kept telling me "No you didn't." This red headed woman basically gaslighted me, that is a manipulation term. I had to show her my phone that I called. She said wait, "I don't know our number," She looked it up and said "yep that is the number." My experience was horrible. I have an important presentation tonight and I was looking forward to getting my hair done. There are a few things going on here: 1, She is racist, 2. She is on drugs, 3. She is incompetent 4. Have had my hair cut and dyed by a woman working there many times and she always does a great job. The entire crew always gives a warm welcome and great service. I always recommend this location rather than others in the area. I love to see that they keep the place clean and sanitary, even when busy. read more

I've been coming here for 5 or so years, and the service is always excellent. I was there this past Saturday, and even though it was busy, I had a very minimal wait. Not only that, but the employees are always pleasant. They always do a quality job in a timely manner. I love that they take walk-ins, and that you are now able to check-in online. Why go through the pretense of an on-line check in system and set a time? Arrived on time and was told it would be at least 30 minutes! Waited the 30 minutes and the same 3 people who were in front of me when I entered were still there - but unlike me- they did not bother going on line and selecting a time. I started going myself and have continued to be a loyal customer for almost 5 years now. They don't try to sell you a bunch of stuff and have very competent, friendly staff. This was the first time I was going to use Supercuts. Went in they have a sign in computer. Signed in and sat down. Within 15 minutes I was called. I was very pleased with my hair cut. I will return to super cuts in Hackettstown. read more
