This makes me appreciate this business more seeing how high customer satisfaction is as a priority for them. _____________ First time visiting this salon. It's a nice space, very clean, and comfortable. The service went checking in was okay. I was offered coffee and never received it. I made a last minute appointment and was accommodated. When I arrived I noticed there was a sign for new clients for $38, which got me really excited. I didn't learn until after my haircut that I didn't qualify since it was only for certain stylists. That took away all my excitement from the haircut... I'm not a fan of these types of signs, they give you a false sense of something to look forward to. My stylist was Nicole. I really liked her, she talked me through the haircut and was very friendly. We decided to keep my hair long with layers. Even though this is what we decided on, I feel as though there is something left to be desired. I'm not sure what. My hair feels lighter and shinier, but it looks the same?

I heard about FA Salon from a friend in Chester and decided to give it a try today. Unfortunately,…read moremy first experience was not that great. The stylist who cut my hair did a good job, but the blowout was terrible. Frizzy, curly in the root. I told her I wasn't happy and even suggested her what type of brush to use for the sides and other tips. She said she was going to fix it with a flat iron. Any hairstylist should be able to smooth your hair using a blow dryer and a round brush unless you have frizzy, kinky or damaged hair. In my 50 years, I have never asked another stylist to fix someone else's work so this was a first for me. The next stylist did a good job but I feel I left the salon with a fried head. Please note that my hair is thin, not corse or curly. This could have been avoided. I am not disclosing their names and I might not go back. Just not the great experience others have raved about.

When I commented that it was shorter than I wanted it, he dismissed my concern by pointing out that it's only short because it was curly. When does a stylist not blowdry the hair to show the cut?? I left the salon holding back tears. When I came home I straightened my hair to get a look at the cut. Confirming what I had said, it was entirely too short- MUCH shorter than was discussed. I decided I needed to call and address my concerns- wanting no more than an apology and just to feel heard- instead I was gaslighted, he was literally saying I told him things that he was the one to actually say to me!- He essentially blamed me for my own bad haircut and overall had my concerns dismissed and once again minimized. His only solution was to cut it shorter- demonstrating how little he was listening to my complaint- because my complaint was that he chopped off all of my hair- why would I want to go shorter?! Next time, just apologize to the customer for any misunderstandings and try and find a way to move forward. Deceptive practice and just awful customer service.

The downside is that they don't have a ton of availability and I feel like the stylists are not that well-versed and even basic recommendations. I typically get long layers with bangs and I was asking my stylist on both occasions which kind of bangs they recommend and neither of them could give me any recommendations. It was like talking to a wall. I also have gotten some spa treatments and facial waxing done here. I don't think I could recommend those especially if you have dry skin. The eyebrow waxing it was a little expensive for the area. Typically you can get it for 10 to 15 and I was charged around 18 to 20 for this so it was definitely a little more expensive. And they weren't even I kind of had to keep pushing her to make them the correct size because she kept taking off more on one eyebrow than the other. So overall, I think it's OK but it wouldn't be my first choice in the area.
