I have been pleased with whoever I get. I usually call at the last minute and they have always been able to accommodate me.

I made an online reservation for a haircut with blow dry and I even made a follow up call and I spoke with someone who confirmed the appointment was on the schedule. I received a call from Supercuts less than 2 hours before the appointment, telling me they couldn't do the blow dry "because they didn't have anyone who could do it". When I asked what's the point of making a reservation when they couldn't honor it, the Supercuts employee intentionally hung up on me. read more

My father cut my hair when I was a toddler. As I aged, he would take my brother and I to Crooker's barbershop. Gerry Crooker was a dairy farmer and after evening milking, he would set up shop in a room off the back porch. Every one of my elementary school pictures is an homage to his artistry. Thank God he had the dairy. Today, Timmaree is my stylist at The Cut in Uptown--nearly 8 years now. She is very good and now, unfortunately, very busy. Wait times run routinely 4 hours. So . . . thought I'd start looking for a backup when our schedules won't mesh. Enter Super Cuts on Park Rd. I went 4 weeks ago and Nathan cut my hair. No frills and a decent job, so I thought I'd give him another whirl. Not so good. No complimentary beverage offered as the signs says. No neck shave. Not even a final comb and style. Cut and done was the theme today. I was pissed. Sorry, Nathan, I'm out. Back to looking for a second stylist. And maybe you should, too. read more

I like cheap and inexpensive haircuts. My "do" is really hard to mess up, so I tend to stick with the large chains on this market. Where Mrs. K. needs a stylist and needs to spend money, I can generally get by on something that costs a whole lot less. This Supercuts is a standalone, which is odd. I usually see them as part of a strip shopping center or in a strip mall. No worries, it's just as good as any other. read more

Well, I checked in on line for an appointment. I got there 5 minutes before my time. No problem. Happy to wait in my car. Continue waiting for another 20 minutes past my time! Call the store only to be told they were closing early because there was only 1 stylist. So now I have wasted 25 minutes of MY time waiting for an appointment that was not happening! Why wasn't I called. They had my phone number "in case they needed to contact me." Didn't closing early deem calling me? Horrible service will never go back. Worst customer service ever. If I could give zero I would!!! After I posted the initial review, within hours the own contacted me. He was apologetic and made up for the poor service. Honestly, this was one of the worst experiences and hands down worst haircut of my life. An older gentleman with a tortoise ring cut my hair. I asked for what I've been getting at all different salons and locations for 15 years. Long layers, shortest piece framing my face. Even showed pictures to him. So simple and straightforward. From the first snip he started apologizing. Before I knew it I had my long mid length hair choppy, short, blunt and one side longer than the other. He tried to go in and fix it more but I stopped him politely, paid and leaved. I honestly feel like I was in a movie where the chick gos and it's a disaster. I went to feel good and proceeded to feel even worse. He should have never touched my hair if he wasn't confident. I'm enclosing pictures of my hair before . Checked in online at 5:20 and system told me 5:45. Arrived at 5:45 to wait behind others until finally taken back at 6:05. I mentioned I had already checked in and it didn't seem to matter. Both women working didn't seem to care. Upon checkout one of the women didn't know How to work the system and it took forever for me to pay and leave. Long waits even though already checked in and customer service was awful. Will not be going to this one again. read more

Not only did I leave this hair cut with a soaked tshirt, I left with an awful haircut as well. I was the only one in the shop and came around 730. Keisha greeted me and I told her what I wanted. A little taken off the sides and lighten up the top. She then grabbed the clippers and buzzed the sides down farther than my hair Has ever gone before. After that she kindly give me a free shampoo, but halfway through soaks my entire back leaving me having to go home and change shirts then I asked her to square my hair line and she rounded it. I called the location once I got home and once I started talking about my haircut she immediately told me I can get a refund the next day when her manager gets there. I can also here that she is on the phone with someone else during my call when she says out loud "hold on I'll call you back" to someone on the other line. For someone who really cares about there hair I will never return here. This has to have been the worst haircut I have ever received. And I hope future customers see this and refrain from visiting this store. read more

Need a negative star option. I SWEAR this place gave me lice!!!! NOTHING was sterilized, he used a dirty old brush on my hair, barely cut any of it, completely uneven and nowhere near the two inches I told him to cut! I had to show him what 2 inches is. He had NO license. Clearly he learned how to cut hair from a YouTube video because there was NOTHING that even smelled like a professional haircut. My son and I arrived shortly before 6 pm on a Saturday night. There was one stylist, a male, giving a haircut to a little boy while two women sat by and watched. For the next 50 minutes, he proceeded to move the clippers back and forth over the boy's head, pausing to towel him off, blow dry off excess hair etc. Then more clippers, on and on. The boy's hair was already fully buzzed on the sides and maybe 1/3 inch on top when he started this whole charade. In sum, this stylist had no intention of helping us (or the other customers that came in the meantime), and intentionally delayed and wasted everyone's time. I don't understand why someone would do this, but I wanted to share with you all so you don't waste a Saturday evening at this salon. It was a stupid and frustrating experience for us all. Portia is awesome. She looked at pictures and sample hair colors with me (and I took a looong time to decide). She darkened my hair significantly, and when there was a little in the back that didn't absorb as much color (I never would have noticed if she hadn't pointed it out), she insisted on re-dying that part. And she gave me some killer bangs. Love her. When I lived in NYC, I once got a $400 cut and color (which was stupid because that's a ridiculous amount of money to spend on a haircut). Went in yesterday around 2:30pm. Only one stylist, who was working on another guy. Waited approximately 15 minutes for her to finish with him. A couple of minutes before he left, a woman came in. Even though I'd been waiting - and the stylist had acknowledged me when I'd arrived - she called the woman by name and off they went. When I asked if there was a second stylist, the sytlist said no, that she'd called in sick. Then, the stylist said the woman customer had called in an appointment an hour before, obviously intending this comment to answer my implied question about being overlooked. I didn't realize that Supercuts took call-aheads, but that's not my gripe. What was annoying, rude, and unprofessional was that the stylist didn't tell me when I arrived, or even when the woman arrived, that I wouldn't be next up. So I wasted about 20-25 minutes unnecessarily. When I started walking out the door, the stylist intoned an insincere, "Sorry." I used to live nearby but never was terribly impressed with the place, and now I have one more reason to switch to Great Clips 30 seconds down the road... which I did yesterday. The difference in professionalism - nothing more than simple courtesy, really - between the two shops is significant. I noted that Supercuts has a training center here in Charlotte. I'm thinking that my inconsiderate stylist might need a refresher course, if she's hoping not to permanently lose other customers for herself and her employer. read more

I had bangs for over nine months so with that I had to get them trimmed regularly enough that I knew what was RIGHT and what was WRONG. I had been here once before I got my bangs and they did a good job but my last visit was horrid. My front bangs before going here had been a full thick front bang and was a blunt bang. I went in and a woman greeted me telling me it'd only be 5 minutes due to the fact the two stylists ( including her) were with men. I had no problem because I was just there for a trim. When I finally sat down after the 15 minute wait, yes I said 15, the woman started out asking what I needed that day I explained I needed a simple trim on my bangs and that was ALL. She nodded her head and went on with what she was doing. Now as I sat there she explained she was the new manager and etc. I was listening but also paying attention to what she was doing. She thought I mean like STRAIGHT ACROSS, BEYONCÉ BANG. Thats NOT what I wanted ! My bangs angled off into my hair so it looked natrual. She went straight across and left the angled pieces there. I am very impressed with this Supercuts. Do not really know why so many negative reviews but my experience was wonderful. I do know that this location is under a new manager and new stylist, so maybe this is why. New direction and new attitudes will make a world of difference. I took my daughter in to get a cut and highlights. WOW...I was impressed with the outcome. Taylor was very pleased with the end result also. Eric was amazing. My daughter has finally found a stylist she is pleased with. Go check this location out. I am sure you will have a pleasant visit and like the work they are doing now. See for your self. One of the worst haircut experiences I've ever had was had at this location. I came in for a simple men's cut and it took the stylist over an hour to chop up my hair. The stylist was untrained and did not know how to blend the top and the sides of my hair. She had to ask another stylist for assistance. I ended up leaving with my hair unevenly blended with the top of my head randomly chopped up. Went straight home and buzzed my entire head. I would not recommend this Supercuts location to anyone. Apart from his skill at cutting and coloring hair, he is working to make the salon the place to go. It's bright, light and the staff are always friendly. I won't go anywhere else. I stopped here out of annoyance of having to wait at another salon & wanting to get the ordeal over with. I wanted a trim, I didn't need a trim. I walked in and was told 10 minutes, I was okay with that considering the place before offered a 45 min wait. I was promptly greeted and seated after the 10 min wait. I explained I need a trim because I was getting my hair done in twists the next day. The stylist offered to do a protein treatment and I agreed because I understood its benefits. Prior to beginning the treatment I stated I wanted to retain length versus being even!! We proceeded with the conditioning process and everything was okay until the trimming process started. Somewhere in my spirit it felt wrong as I watched the ends fall to my shirt. I made a comment about it being too much and she assured me it was just 2 ringlets nothing more. Once she got to the front my heart begin to panic as I realized that her method for cutting was so wrong...at that point it was too late. I paid and I left, due to me having a delayed response with things I didn't truly see that her trim equaled more than 1 & 1/2 inches of my hair being cut off due to her IMAGINARY split ends until later!!! I'm beyond distraught as I went from 3 inches to almost bra strap length in less than 3 years with no trim, to be knocked back a bit. I went in hoping to increase my efforts in achieving a solid bra strap length before the year was over. Her CUT vs TRIM set me back to the length of my hair in the winter time. -sigh- ughhh I hate it!! They got 2 stars for being nice and readily available but I despise this trim, regret it. Enough to make me finally sit down and write a review. I've done a lot that needed a Yelp response but playing with my hair just set me off completely! read more
