So happy we chose this spot to have lunch and drinks. Pretty easy to find, off a main road. There's a guard out front and not sure if he was there for another business. Restaurant looks really cute from the outside, you can see the kid's playground on the side of the building. The decor was really nice, on the ceiling, the walls, lots of color and greenery.
As we entered, the hostess was there and she was very friendly and sat us right away. There were several groups inside and couples. The price is a good size, you can have large parties. The server told us that there could be a long wait for food, not sure if that was due to short staff or what. We didn't wait that long though, it was totally fine.
The Mezcal Jaimica cocktail was delish, not too sweet and the juice was so fresh. They give you chips and two salsas to start, that was really good. I ordered the tortilla soup and it was a nice big portion with avocado and a thick soup base. Also got the Elote bowl and that was just ok. The guac comes in a molcajete with pork rings and pickled onions - yum! That's the only right way to serve it. We ordered the large meat plate and it came with these heavenly potatoes and chiles stuffed with cheese wow!
Price was good, food was great and the staff really do make sure you are happy and have everything you need. Def a spot we will visit when in TJ.
