Super Taco is fabulous! My husband and I go at least once a week, and the steak tacos can't be beat. The meat is so unbelievably flavorful and, unlike other Mexican joints in town (aka D'Leon's), it is tender, not greasy, and not covered in slop (i.e. guac, cheese, and pico). Instead, there is just some cilantro, onions, and lime. I also recommend the salsa verde, which is really tasty. My mom has also had the chorizo burrito, which was excellent as well. read more

I was warned by a co-worker that looks can be deceiving. He was right. I arrived at this little gem with a not so impressive outside. Nestled in a little strip mall, the unremarkable appearance hides what is to be once you get in. Not a big place, but clean and neat. For as small as it is, it has a pretty extensive menu. Good choice of beers and margaritas. I ordered 3 carne asada tacos. They were open faced on corn tortillas. They were topped of with fresh onions and cilantro. I also ordered their house salsa. Pay a bit extra for this. The salsa was very mild, but I liked the rustic chunkiness consistency. Fresh corn chips came with the order. On the table was a red squeeze bottle containing a much more aggressive salsa. Hints of habanero. I applied the red sauce liberally. Hot, but delicious. There was also a squeeze bottle containing a green salsa. I did not try that. Service was fast and you could tell that the meat had not been sitting in a tray somewhere for an extended time period. Excellent food - so cheap. Authentic Mexican, friendly service. Order the tacos - they're great! Enchiladas are also wonderful! Guacamole is fresh! You don't go for the ambience - don't get me wrong, I want nothing more! I'm half-Mexican. I'm from California. This place is truly authentic. I eat the chicken sope practically every single time I come here, and I wash it down with a Mexican Coke. What more need be said? This place is just fantastic. I get 5 tacos, usually ground beef, adobada, or chorizo- so good. Closest thing to traditional street tacos (with flavor) in town. Wife usually gets the Hawaiian torta which is also great. Love the sauces. read more

We found another little Mexican restaurant tucked away in a small strip mall and gas station. I knew this place was going to be good when I saw a number of hispanics at the same restaurant. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the staff. The restaurant lacks ambience but makes up for it in friendly service and tasty food. The decoration is very nondescript. I had the chicken taco salad. A deep fried flour tortilla bowl with a generous amount of chicken. They brought out their own concoction of hot sauce which had some heat and was tasty, My wife had the enchiladas platter with rice and beans and all was good. My son (the human vacuum) had a burrito which he devoured in like 4 bites. Our girls had kids meals which they both finished. My three year old did not get her meal until about 7-10 minutes after we got ours. You know how tough that is on a 3 year old. That was my only complaint. If anything would like th kids served first as it takes them longer to eat and they get upset thinking they are not getting a meal like everyone else. Ha! Clearly at Super Taco, you should only order the tacos. My girlfriend's gordita came replete with two hairs and funky pancakey taste. The womens restroom also didn't have paper towels. I absolutely love this place. Best Mexican food in town. The servings are large but not too much and the flavors are full! Anywhere else I go I get the same thing I liked the last time because the next time I try something it isn't good... That's not AT ALL the case with Super Taco. I have never been disappointed eating here! The staff are fantastic bilingual for me and my husband. The asada (steak) is so good and never fatty I am very picky about that! Not a bad place to eat. Drove past it the first time thinking it was a stand-alone restaurant, but its in a strip mall and parking can be almost non nonexistent at times. Service was fairly fast. Food was pretty good, a lot of it home made right on the spot. The green sauce is very much like a bell pepper sauce and the hot was good as well. The lettuce and tomato in the taco salad wasn't watery or soggy. Very crisp and fresh. My only complaint is that they do not have a soda fountain. Everything it out of bottles, which again isn't too bad, but the wait staff never came around to see if I wanted a refill. The wait for the check took a long time too. Choice of meat, cilantro and onion 2 corn tortillas. I had ground beef, chicken, and "thin steak" ground beef was most flavorful. Red sauce is hot to trot, not make you sweat hot, but make your mouth burn hot. Not sure how they do that. Green "mild" sauce is just added moisture if you need it. We brought a crew in town to work, three mexicans on our crew. They each said it was very good Mexican food from the Mexico City region of Mexico. The beans gave it away - very light colored - they were good. The owner was very friendly and even changed the TV to the football game for us so we did not have to watch telemundo! We travel all over the US working and the food here was as good as it gets. We ate there twice during our stay in Lincoln. I had the steak, the enchiladas, and my crew had the tacos each time. The outside appearance is not great but wow, is the food authentic and very fresh and good. We have now eaten there 4 times and will eat there again. We have not tried the togo menu since the pandemic rules, but we have always had plenty during sit down and always had a doggy box. Hands down the best taco place in town!! Yea its not an actual Mexican sit down restaurant like Mazatlan but you will find no where in Lincoln that has tacos like this place. Their hot sauces are absolutely amazing (especially their red sauce)!!! The owner is very nice and is always willing to adjust your order to your liking. After reading several review on Yelp, I decided to try Super Taco. I ordered the green chili burrito. It was really quite a bit of food. I think it would have been better if it had a different meat. I found the pork in it to be dry and tasteless, so if I go again, I think I will make a different choice. There was pork aplenty in the burrito. I tried the red sauce, but it was too hot for my palette, and the burrito was served with the green so I didn't add any. The staff members were friendly and polite. read more

AMAZING! We are staying the night in Lincoln as we travel back to Illinois and we happened to see Super Taco on Yelp--and thank goodness we did! The staff is SO FRIENDLY! You feel like family when you eat there. The food is hands down the best Mexican food I have ever had! I had chicken flautas that rocked my socks off! I normally only like mi suegra's flautas but these gave her a run for her money! The rice and beans are fantastic! My husband had a steak quesadilla, steak tacos, and al pastor tacos and they were also fantastic! The guacamole is the best I've ever had!
