Not the best experience we have had here. My beef enchilada came out with chicken. They did replace it with a beef enchilada, but as soon as I cut into it, it unraveled. So I had a flour tortilla with hamburger. No cheese to hold it together. As for the cheese quesadilla, it came out warm, but the cheese was not melted. See the photo. I didn't see much effort put in to fixing the meals. I can get this type of food from amigos. The service was fast though. We sat outside while it was raining, and stayed dry. They have a nice covered eating area. They need to work on their food preparation. Not the best as not worth a trip back in the near future. I would not recommend this place. read more

Bag looked small when picked up, so specifically asked if this was everything and tried to go through the email. They declined and said everything was there. I got home and was missing food. The service was extremely slow, which made the overall experience less enjoyable. Four of us were eating lunch here and for the most part we liked our food and the ambience. It was pleasantly quiet and clean. The bean side that came with the kid's cheese quesadillas was perfect. I had a grilled veggie burrito that was pretty good, but the cheese was a bit too much and I didn't like the sauce on the enchilada. The spinach and mushroom burrito selected from the vegetarian menu was a favorite as were the shrimp tacos. The wait staff was attentive and quickly brought out food and drink for the toddler we had with us. We didn't try any margaritas, but if are ever in the area again, we definitely should. read more

We had a mixed experience. Monday evening, Summer (no school, no football). The food was good, the staff was friendly and energetic, but there just wasn't enough of them. They were understaffed. Free (hot and fresh) chips and salsa were excellent. My beef burrito was good, and my wife's taco's carne asada were also good. First round of drinks came fast. Food order came fast. My girl and I had an excellent dining experience here. We started with drinks. She had a frozen strawberry margarita, which was not weak, but balanced and fruity (she let me taste it). I had their Cadillac Margarita with Xicaru mezcal on the side. I was very pleased with how the mezcal was served. A shooter glass filled to the brim, atop a lemon slice with sea salt on the ridge. And that Cadillac Margarita was quite the beverage. I had underestimated its size. It was however delicious. For our entrees she had the Enchiladas Blancas. I had the Tacos Dorados. Both were marvelously presented, fresh and delicious. The food was flavorful and not overpowering. Service was excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive and made sure we had what we needed. This restaurant is on a prime corner in the Haymarket, but on a weeknight it was very slow and quiet. We were promptly seated, but it did take a bit for a server to come take our order. Chips and salsa were complimentary, and were pretty decent. Once ordered, our food came out very fast! We chose the chicken, steak, and shrimp fajitas to share. Poor service, bland food. My wife and I went and I ordered Chile Verde, and she ordered Queso birria tacos. She received her tacos but I received a single Chile relleno, completely different from what I ordered. When I brought it up the waitress told me I was wrong and that I did order a Chile relleno lol I ended up getting the Chile verde, but in retrospect I shouldn't have cause I threw it up later that night. Tasted sour and and the sauce was thick and chunky. We also ordered a 13 dollar margarita that never showed up, yet we still got charged for it. What a joke read more

The chips were fine and the service was a decent speed, but they could've been faster for such a slow day. My enchilada was very flat and had no flavor; the cheese felt like plastic. This was a recommendation from my GF who went to School in Lincoln. I've heard countless stories of this location and their Margaronas. I did get a chance to go while in town and I have to say I was I was impressed. Originally I thought this was going to be a "meh" spot because of the reviews but I enjoyed my time there! We ordered a Margarona (massive margarita with a corona in it) and a regular Margarita. The drinks were good and our bartender was really nice. For the food, we didn't have a full meal but we split a Fiesta Enchilada. Tip: you can mix the enchiladas, we did two beef and one chicken. They were savory and hit the spot. This was a fun location that has both outdoor and indoor seating. I would recommend El Potrero for a quick meal and a mean margarita. read more

In my opinion, the queso that smothered the burrito was just a little more runny then my liking but good. Soda was perfect balanced with carbonation and syrup making it very refreshing. Sorry to say I didn't find the food very appetizing. I'm picky with Mexican food. I like the flavors blended in a burrito or enchilada. You know, melded together in a scrumptious goo. This felt like taco meat was stuck in corn shells, then canned sauce poured over. There were 4 on the plate, with different colors, one being a bright orange/yellow that I suppose was a cheese, but not a lot of flavor. The middle was not hot either. Nothing else on the plate. I will say the margarita was good, and reasonably priced. The place was large (old Misty's location), clean, and nice atmosphere. They served chips and salsa to munch. The chips seemed a little greasy to me. Go for a drink, but pass on the food. read more

In the Haymarket District, parking usually is challenging especially during the lunch and dinner hours. We were seated quickly but then the service went downward. The chips and salsa arrived quickly then the server disappears for 10 minutes. We had to wave her down to get water and order our entrees. She wasn't in a happy mood and I'm guessing she was the only server here during the later portion of the lunch hour . I'm counting 5 tables and she is also responsible for providing the margaritas and other mixed drinks. Snowfall was heavy the night before but the streets are plowed and the sun is out in zero degree weather today. I ordered the carne asada burrito and would have ordered a margarita if she would have come by earlier. It probably would have been another 10-15 minutes so I decided against this, sticking with water. Believe it, the food came out quickly and was very good. I don't know if I would make a return visit soon, hoping if I do, service will improve. read more

Hola Amigos, So as usual me and my buddies decided to treat our selves and this time we decided Mexican. I ordered the Polo Loco which was acceptable. The sauce was really good however the chicken felt that it was over cooked. My friend got the beef fajitas which was very delicious. I loved the over all atmosphere and I might give it a second try because this visit was pretty late, close to closing time. The staff were friendly and nice. I ate here with my dad for dinner. What I ordered was three tacos with shredded chicken. They were probably the best tacos I've ever had. A bit pricey but taste is good. I like the generous amount of each ingredient. The lettuce, salsa, tomato, sour cream, cheese, and taco shell tasted great. I felt good making a mess eating the tacos and I'd definitely recommend other people to try it as well. read more

We had a GREAT experience here. We showed up with 12 people and they worked hard to quickly accommodate us. Margaritas were great, beer cold. Fresh salsa --waitstaff was one of the best in memory. As far as the food, excellent shrimp tacos and fajitas. Everyone was happy. Burritos and quesadilla also got thumbs up as did the salad. Small menu but plenty of choices and not microwave meals like some Mexican, this was fresh and really good food. Loved the flexibility of the staff. After some of us had finished another 4 showed up and they quickly cleared and made room. All the bills were right and again, can't say enough about waitstaff. Consistent with the others reviews, service can be slow but it is no different than what I am accustomed to coming from the Southwest where many authentic Mexican food restaurants operate with the "manana" philosophy. Another Lincoln review I forgot to write... this place gets the job done when you're craving Mexican food! It probably won't blow you away but I'm generally A-OK with a solid margarita, rice and beans, and a cheese enchilada. That's what I ordered here (plus a beef taco) and it all tasted great! The margarita was standard but I was happy with it, and the food overall was excellent. My friend adored the shrimp tacos, for you seafood lovers. Environment and service is only so-so, but if it's nice, sit outside! The patio is so nice and overlooks the busy Haymarket and it definitely beats the atmosphere of inside the place, where it's pretty quiet. Cheap Mexican food, good margaritas, a kick-ass patio... what else do you want from a casual dinner? Go try it out and end up in a food coma like I did. It'll be worth it! read more

The ambience is ok. The food is not at all what is expected from a Mexican restaurant. We ordered fajitas,enchiladas, burritos and tacos and all of them were bad. We just finished our dishes so that food is not wasted. They served the margarita is plastic glasses which was a major turn off. Ew yuck gross gag. Such a lovely location wasted on such crap food. I tried to eat the enchiladas, each flavor was worse than the last. Cheese tasted like rubber bands, refried beans were gray mushy matter with no sign of ever existing in bean form. The chicken had cartilage or something else unidentifiable and hard in it and the ground beef was over seasoned. All in all under huge wet slabs of lettuce, it sat, in a puddle of watery sludge. I wish I could tell you the trip was at least worth the margarita, but sadly it wasn't. Jalapeño margarita has actual chunks pickled jalapeños blended in, not the best texture.
