This place is still awesome. We're still going here. I love the people that run the place, and everything comes out fresh. Even if you order it to go, they still make it fresh. Great prices and a great restaurant. It really feels like our sushi spot.

Looking from the outside, you would never guess that super sushi is a high-quality, family run business, but that's exactly what it is. The owner is super friendly and all the staff our family members. They use high-quality ingredients to give the customer the best experience possible. And they're very transparent with the quality of their ingredients. We asked the waiter what he recommended and he told us the ichiban, Seattle's best, and the dragon roll. The first two rolls were amazingly fresh and so good. I didn't even need soy sauce to complement the roll. The decor inside feels very authentic Japanese. The service was super friendly and very quick. I will definitely be back for a date night.

This is a small, neighborhood sushi restaurant. It's conveniently located at the corner of the intersection and has plenty of parking. On this particular weekday dinner hour, there were very few customers and the service was very quick and attentive. The menu is straight-forward, see my menu pic. We started with their egg rolls. As you can see in my pic, there are 5 and their dipping sauce. The dipping sauce was mildly sweet and had a somewhat cool temperature. The cool temp complimented the hot freshly deep fried egg rolls. As you can see, the rolls were very consistently made. There was a fair amount of wrappings to the amount of inside veggies. These rolls were mildly flavored and so the ginger, wasabi and dipping sauce enhanced the flavor greatly. We shared their Super Sushi roll. This roll had a good combination of tempura and raw components. The prominent item was the Spicy Tuna. While there was a kick, it didn't overpower the eel or other items. The dark sweetened drizzle was a good contrast to the Spicy Tuna. We particularly liked that the roll was cut into thinner slices than usual thicker cuts. This made eat bite an appropriate size.

We ordered the sashimi salad, fuji, geisha, and popcorn roll. I really enjoyed the salad. It had a lot of sashimi and I was nearly full off of that! I could only take a few bites of the rolls before feeling completely stuffed! For salmon, the Fuji roll was a little too rich for me so I would opt for the genki or lemon roll next time. The geisha roll was good and the popcorn roll was just crazy! I feel like that could feed 4 people! I enjoyed the crunchy crayfish on top but it's just too much for two people. After trying a few sushi places in the area, I think this is the best one so far. We also got a nice discount on rolls during happy hour so we will definitely be back!

So, of course, I look on Yelp and came across Nko Niko sushi, which is regarded as one of the best sushi spots in Redlands. I actually went as far as double checking on reddit and the votes were definitely in! This place seemed legit so I had to try it. It's located in a shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking. There are several restaurants in the area, while Niko Niko is tucked away near the water fountains out front. As I arrived, they quickly sat me at the bar area and my typical rainbow roll and I tried their snow cone roll. The rolls were so good and the fish was fresh! I loved the sweet sauce that was added to the snow cone roll. After about 20 mins, the chef, who's name is Yaser, started asking me what my favorite fish is and why I like it. I told him Albacore and he instantly makes me some concoction with ponzu sauce which was fire. He then asked me if I like salmon and I told him yes and he makes me a seared salmon roll with orange sauce and pepper. By this time I'm stuffed but enjoying this experience. He made going to a sushi restaurant interesting again like when I first tried sushi. We start talking about Japan and he ask me if I ever had salmon skin. I tell him absolutely not and that when I bake salmon I usually take the skin off. He then tells me that I HAVE to try a salmon skin handroll so I figured I should just go with it. My mind was blown!! I actually like salmon skin lol. It was so good! Overall, I had an amazing experience at Niko Niko and Chef Yaser. I left him a generous tip for the experience and he changed the way I will forever dine at a sushi bar now. If you're in the area, please stop at Niko for some fresh tasty sushi and an excellent sushi experience with sushi chef's that know what they're doing. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

He has made some great additions to the ambience and lighting, and the restaurant feels more inviting every time we come in. It's clear James genuinely cares about making this restaurant successful and goes above and beyond for his customers. We got the Premium All You Can Eat menu, and everything was absolutely delicious. The carpaccio is top of the line and easily one of our favorites. The sushi was fresh, the quality was excellent, and we also got a 60 oz pitcher of Sapporo for only $17, which is a great deal. James is clearly working extremely hard to improve this business, and it shows. After coming here for years, I can confidently say Maki Yaki just keeps getting better every time we visit. Definitely deserves five stars! Yelp Elite, tell your friends!

The spicy garlic edamame was over seven dollars due to the house-made sauce, but it just tasted like garlic mixed with sambal or sriracha. It didn't taste special or gourmet. The roll I got had a lot of imitation crab meat. It was okay in flavor , nothing outstanding. They have an AYCE deal that's about $35 on weekdays dinner time. If you have a large party and just want to fulfill your sushi craving with a bunch of classic American-style rolls, this would be a good spot. I likely won't be back since I've had higher quality sushi elsewhere!

So let's cover the big questions first:…read more 1) No, it is NOT AYCE. But they give you bang for your buck and what they make is delicious. 2) No, it is not omakase. This is not a fancy Japanese restaurant with fish flown in from across the world. It is not catch of the day, we're in Loma Linda. The ocean is at least an hour away. Chill. But here is what is important. What they advertise is GREAT. Spicy garlic edamame? Delicious and a huge portion. A low carb roll with decent fish and a good dipping sauce? Done deal. For $16.99, they give you a nice sized roll with plenty to share. Stuffed, deep fried mushrooms that are fresh? Let's name it "monkey brains" and make it one if the better appetizers I have had in awhile. And the jalapeño bomb is worth the trip. The popcorn lobster salad is a great alternative if you like popcorn lobster rolls but don't want the extra carbs. If you like simple, but delicious food, this place is pretty great. And they have a decent happy hour as well.

Omg what a beautiful evening, filled with delicious food and even better service!…read more The staff were attentive throughout. We got all the fixings including our spicy mayo. Complimentary miso soup was delicious and hot while we waited for our meal. We ordered two plates and sushi rolls since we were extra hungry. My salmon was cooked to perfection. Super scrappy on the outside and juicy ans soft in every bite. Love their salad and dressing. I took my husband's cucumbers and gyozas his combo plate came with. Usually we get a complimentary ice cream. Strawberry and green tea, but Strawberry always rans out! She accidentally mentioned she had mango ice cream instead and I got super excited. She immediately said she meant orange but said she'd check. I thought she meant for next time. Like to actually carry it at the restaurant. THIS AMAZING LADY surprised me when came back with a mango mochi ice cream!! Bless her soul she made my evening. We've been coming for to this location for four years and counting and it only keep on getting better!
