Marcos and Abby gave us great service! They are both so friendly and nice! I will be sure to come back to this store at the mall because I want to support this store. Super Silver - Jewelry Near Me - Capitola, California

I got this pretty necklace from this store my mom bought it for me for my birthday and i loved it, i even wore it to my graduation, but it broke. It snapped right at the clasp and i was very upset by it so of course i got a new one, but then a few months later the exact same thing happened to the new one. it snapped at the SAME EXACT PLACE AGAIN at the clasp. It wasn't cheap either it was $40 sure it never tarnished but it's not worth the money if it'll always break at the same exact spot. I'm very disappointed i really did love that necklace but it's just a piece of trash not worth the waste of money. I won't be buying from here anymore and nor should you. read more

Love love love this silver store! I get all my rings here! They have pretty decent prices for the quality of the material that lasts a long time when you take care of the accessories! The people working there are also super nice and friendly! I enjoyed visiting! ** oops this review should've been for the other location! I haven't been to the capitola location before. And I don't know how to delete this review! Sorry!! read more

I prefer silver to gold, which is nice because it tends to be cheaper. The problem is that there are a lot of blends of silver that turn my skin green, so I spend a lot of money on stuff I never really get to wear. Admittedly I was first intrigued by this store because they were having a sale (which apparently happens often), and the prices on jewelry were so good and I liked a lot of styles they offered so I figured it wouldn't matter if I only got a few wears out of them. To my surprise, the two rings I bought (pictured) have never turned my fingers green, and I still wear the mother of pearl ring every day. Unfortunately the other ring's band broke a few months ago, but a year and a half of everyday use is not bad at all for rings that cost ~$15. They have hundreds of slight variations of the same rings, in many sizes. You'll undoubtedly find something you like. I saw a lot of other pieces of jewelry and silver that I liked in the store, but I was on a budget and I knew I'd wear the rings every day. The only thing I didn't like about this experience was the way they treated all of their customers...like criminals. I get that you have a lot of theft and there are a lot of homeless people and dumb college kids that pass through, but maybe not ~eye~ me and my party so hard as we try on some rings next time? They had three employees at the rings section *just* to keep an eye on their merchandise. read more

went in to buy some gifts for mothers day + some rings for myself :p the girly on staff was super helpful. she knew the store's inventory very well and pointed out pieces that fit what i was looking for. she was also very nice and easy to talk to :) got beautiful, unique jewelry thanks to her help! read more

Junk jewelry. Every piece my family has gotten me here for gifts has broken at the seam of the bracelet or at the connection clasp on all of my necklaces. The clasp completely detaches from the necklace and would have to be soldered somehow back onto the necklace. Which is expensive. I have asked my family and friends to not buy me jewelry here any more. read more

Super Silver - Now what should i do with these broken pieces? - Jewelry Near Me - Capitola, California

Just came in looking for a simple silver chain, not knowing the wide variety of options and pendants they had. Reyna was super patient and helpful allowing me to look at all my options and price breakdowns. If anyone is reading this in management they should give her a easier, she deserves it! Thank you Reyna! Would recommend! read more

I really wish they wouldn't have people handing out flyers. It's wasteful, turns into litter, and reminds me of vegas. I've wandered in a few times and the staff seems ok but I can't get past the gimmick of handing out coupons on the street. Also if everything is always 50% off maybe you should just lower your prices by 50%. read more

I love Super Silver, they have a great selection of jewelry and prices really are a great deal (50% off year long). People keep complaining about the quality but considering the jewelry is marked half off then you're pretty much getting what you pay for...which is common sense. The customer service is usually spectacular and very helpful. However, I went in yesterday and the girl at the cashier was extremely negative and rude. Instead of being pleasant and friendly, she abruptly said, "whose jewelry is this" to my friend and I when asking who was paying first. She then went on to rant about how much she hated the weather outside after rudely snatching my debit card. Definitely needs to work on her attitude or maybe just not work in customer service. I'll still go shopping there, but hopefully this review will help a little with customer service. read more

I originally came in here because I wanted to find out what my ring size was (6 for future reference for myself). I walked in and was greeted immediately by a friendly employee. She asked me if I needed help with anything and told her that I would like to find out what my ring size was. She kindly redirected me to another employee and he handed me a keychain with different ring sizes on it and I tried them on. When I found out my ring size, I thought that I might as well get a ring here. I always wanted to get one of high quality so I bought a sterling silver ring. The price was reasonable, I loved the simple silver ring that I bought, I was satisfied with the customer service, and I appreciated the wide selection of jewelry here. read more

This is a rant nine years in the making I @#$@#$#@# DON'T WEAR SILVER I AM @#$@#$@# ALLERGIC Back to my review I DISLIKE IT when folks repeatedly ask if I want to go in for a sale... But I have made purchases there for birthday gifts. They do have an amazing selection but for crying out loud train your coupon hand outer people to be more professional. Five stars for being amazing in terms of prices and selection Two stars for those annoying folks who try to shove papers in your hands read more

This place had really cute stuff and a huge selection of jewelry that you're almost guaranteed to find something you'll like. HOWEVER, the service here is so horrible. I'm sure they wouldn't have to promote a huge sale if they would train or hire better sales people. JUST SAYIN! read more

Love the staff and everyone was so welcoming. I got a size that fit and I noticed it was a little big so I exchanged it for a smaller size. Now the smaller size is a little big. Super Silver - Ring - Jewelry Near Me - Capitola, California

I like to shop local but will never go to Super Silver again. I wanted a red coral sponge ring. I found the perfect one. The young woman with short purple hair was delightful. She weighted and calculated the cost twice. 68$ great. I patiently waited in line for the cashier. Well this woman was rude and told me the cost of the ring was wrong. Now it was 89$. She did not pickup the ring or weight it. The price that was WRITTEN on the slip should have been honored. This is fraud, bait and switch is ILLEGAL. Reading about the crap jewelry this place sells, well I am damn happy the cashier was rude, saved me from buying a bad ring. Who wants high priced, fraudulent JUNK? BEWARE OF BAIT AND SWITCH AT THIS BOGUS CRAPPY STORE. You all can see the fake excuse Super Silver manage gave. If the ring was 68$ at 50% off, then original price was 136$. At 30% off it would be 95$. They cheat, steal and lie. Or maybe the manager doesn't know math works. LOL just avoid this fake place. read more

There is NO rhyme nor reason to how the employees "work" here. I bet they lose 98% of sales due to their lack of a working system. I tried VERY HARD to give them $76 for a chain and pendant but the only cash register open had someone standing chatting with a customer for half an hour. I asked many times when we can pay? And was told after that group got done. They should have taken the chit chatting to another part of the counter. I went outside to get air because this was so annoying and I felt sick at that point and a female employee follows me out arguing with me! Saying something about how they have to do it that way to upsell /make more sales with the people. In front of the register! She was also holding the chain I think that my son and I were TRYING to buy and rubbing it around in her hands. This chain went thru at least 3 employees paws during this covid virus. Majority of items have no price on it and the start doing this ludicrous and time consuming calculation thing. Pull out a calculator...take way too long. If someone asks for an inexpensive chain and cross pendant and say they want total price to be such and such? Why can't that happen quickly? It should! My son got mad at me because I had to walk out. They were not interested in making a sale. I was literally feeling sick by then and super stressed out. I think it is a scam and they just do the no prices on things and then say all is half off and sit there with a calculator to bamboozle and fool people. I found chains that are sterling silver and stainless steel at every other place for 10 times less than what they charge. I would guess this whole weigh and calculator stall thing is a tactic they are trained to do. Or they simply don't know what they are doing? It feels like a big ol' scam to me. I am very angry that I had to get blamed for their lack of selling things properly and my son who is on the autism spectrum had a massive melt down. read more

This started out as a 5 Star review for Celeste, who took time with me to make sure I picked out the right bengals for me (and at $200!). Then I decided to come back and exchange them for a smaller size so they didn't fall off my wrist (especially after I spent $200 on them). Over the phone, the manager Andrea was very accommodating and she even made an exception on the timeframe since I don't live in the area. I make it back the following weekend and Andrea happens to help me. At first she was pleasant. Then, as I was trying on different sizes (since the point of me coming back was to get a smaller size), she started to get impatient and admitted to getting frustrated that I was bending the bracelets (one turn taking them off and on doesn't get them out of shape- they were already warped). After admitting to getting frustrated, I could see she was not in a helpful mood. I ended up walking out with less bengals (8 instead of 9) and at a smaller size, yet somehow she ended up charging me $25 MORE. She had no consideration of the fact that I drove a long distance to come back to her store or that I had already raved about the service experience with Celeste. After all that, the original 5 Star review was knocked down to 3. read more

While waiting for a movie to start I wandered around Pacific Avenue. Super Silver caught my eye with their windows full of trinkets, I had to stop in. WOW! I could spend hours in here looking at all their great items. Thousands of rings, gorgeous pendants, necklaces, and bracelets. I made my way from the right side where rows and rows of rings filled tables around the back, and around the left. Beautiful turquoise and coral. Very friendly staff eager to answer questions, but not the pushy associate you'd typically find in a jewelry shop. My daughter found and item she wanted to purchase, which was given at a sale price. (Even better!) At check out she was given a coupon for a percentage off a future purchase. Though we aren't from the area, she was excited to receive the discount, and future discount card. A little window shopping turned even better! read more

I used to shop here years and years ago before the place moved to Pacific avenue. Now I try to not even walk by. The stupid 50% coupons are all year long. Don't fall for that thinking you are getting a deal. The other thing that gets me about this place is the constant following and eyeballing and overly watchful employees. My 75 year old grandma isn't going to steal anything and neither am I. Lost my business with the mad dogging. read more

Came into the Capitola location on a Thursday and was very excited about there selection of toe rings. Bought an adjustable one, wore it till Friday evening and it snapped in half. Don't shop here. Pretty stuff. Bad quality. Terrible customer service. I was given a beautiful silver bracelet from here for Christmas. After two hours of wear the silver started to chip. I took it off and brought it in to exchange or repair. At first they seemed shocked and apologetic, which is what you'd expect. But then they decided they would offer no exchange or repair, just a discount on something else. Lame. read more

Poor customer service and both rings I bought broke.

They do not give refunds on any jewelry, I think because they know there silver is cheap quality. I have purchased many necklaces and bracelets that are sitting in my jewelry box that are all broken. If you're looking for quality, don't go here! read more

Rip off you're better of on etsy unless you want to pay twice as much for the experience of buying overpriced jewlery in a store.

I wasn't too impressed with this store. I've been to stores less than half the size of this one that have a bigger selection of jewelry that's better quality than the jewelry here. I agree with Britney L., the jewelry did appear to look junky. If you're looking for a silver store with good prices and a nice selection, I would check out Monterey Bay Silver at the Old Fishermen's Wharf in Monterey (if you're in the area). The store is smaller than this one but their jewelry is better quality and isn't too pricey. See my review for Monterey Bay Silver. read more

This place is great! The girls in the store were caring and patient. The girl with blonde hair was nice enough to check their inventory to find me a sapphire ring! I really appreciated her for that! Super Silver - My new turquoise ring - Jewelry Near Me - Capitola, California

Lots to choose from in this store, but I'm usually looking for the unusual before a plunk down a ton of cash. And this stuff was a bit pricy, and really I could go to the Gift Center in SF and get the same silver for cheaper. The gal working who assisted me with one ring was a doll, and very helpful and chatty. Making our visit in enjoyable. But alas I didn't see anything I couldn't live without in this store that I couldn't buy in SF. read more

When customer service is poor, sometimes the selection doesn't matter. Super Silver does not follow the Visa and MasterCard rules about customer ID. MasterCard and Visa explicitly prohibit retailers from requiring an ID to accept a signed card. After I spent 30 minutes in the store, having pleasant interactions with the sales clerks, the "high" of shopping was ruined when the cashier insisted on seeing ID for my debit card. It is not "for my protection" that Super Silver requests ID; if there were an unauthorized charge, then my card company would handle it! I do not appreciate this merchant excuse. They are trying to protect themselves, but they are ignorant about how to do so. They are already protected by only accepting signed cards. I work hard for my money. I have a professional demeanor. I do not appreciate being treated like a freaking criminal. And even if I had seemed scummy, the law protects me against some millennial's value judgments. Henceforth I will buy my silver elsewhere. Oh, and for the tourists: The "sale" in the flyer happens approximately 364 days/year. read more

This is a really popular stop if you're into the Downtown Santa Cruz area - there is a lot of stuff here, rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, lord - they've got it all. Without fail there is always someone out side handing out their most current deal - which is helpful if you'd like to hold on to it and come back before you leave. The staff is attentive and helpful. They always make sure to super shine your purchase before you leave and I've always had really great luck with finding some hidden treasures. Well priced for silver and always having a good bargain is nice when looking for gifts. My one hold back from the 5 stars is the way the store is laid out, I know they can only do so much with how much they have but it can be a little overwhelming and confusing; perhaps they will change it so that there are specific areas for each type of jewelry. They're without a doubt a gem in the downtown area - so make sure to take a gander for yourself or for a gift the next time you're in the area. read more

The highlight of any of my visits to Santa Cruz is always visiting Super Silver! I've enjoyed all their area shops and love the size of this downtown Santa Cruz store! I always walk away with several new "favorite" pieces I can enjoy for years to come. I am in love with the Rose rings they sell, and get compliments wherever I wear it! Their Ring selection is amazing! Make sure you save time to look at everything! If you love silver you'll feel like you've died and gone to heaven! Thanks for providing such a great selection of Silver, great sales people who are knowledgeable and helpful! Will keeping coming back again and again! read more

Large jewelry shop with an array of gemstones. The handsome Mr Jason assisted me and was very patient while I took my time. He was the right balance of professional and warm. The prices were fair for a shop but more than what you could find online, however, online you don't get the benefit of trying on. The ring that I left with was still a bit pricey for the stone's size but Jason ended up getting me a good deal. I appreciated the service and selection. read more

They have a nice selection, and it's even bigger now that they moved around the corner onto the Mall. Necklaces, bracelets and rings used to be their mainstay. Now they have a large selection of big pendants &c. I always make it a point to stop in and check things out when I'm in town. Over the years I've made quite a few purchases, and have always been pleased. It's not terribly expensive, but then again it's not a "jewelry shop" where you might expect to find custom designed pieces. read more

This place has tons of rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, etc. and you're sure to find something you like just by browsing for a few minutes here! Just be warned that you get what you pay for -- the stuff here is cheap and always on sale which is awesome, but (no surprise here) the quality is terrible. I've bought from here many times and had several items break or become damaged ridiculously quickly (faster than even super crappy cheap jewelry from Claire's). Most recently I bought a pair of jade earrings and they fell apart within a few days. Stone, backing, and all! Super disappointed, but I guess I can't complain when I didn't even pay much to begin with. Great store for buying trinkets and gifts, but don't expect your stuff to last. I love shopping here! All of my favorite pieces come from Super Silver. High quality silver and a great selection. The sales staff is really helpful, especially when I am shopping for someone with a different style than my own. They have so many semi precious stone pendants, rings and bracelets that I feel like I see something new and unique every time I shop. This is the best place to shop for birthday presents of all sizes and prices, as they will always help you find what you are looking for based on your guidelines. Super Silver - my favorite garnet, peridot, blue topaz, amethyst pendant! - Jewelry Near Me - Capitola, California

I purchased a $550 Paul Livingston cuff. Within a few months, the inlay begin to crumble. I wear multiple bracelets stacked and because this cuff was actually hollow on the inside, one occurrence of a larger cuff slipping on top of it caused it to crumble. It started with a crack and within a few days the whole piece begin to crumble. I have a good friend who's a well know Navajo silversmith so I gave it to him to try and salvage what's left. Being an expert himself he was able to identify that the bracelet was made in a way to appear solid to raise the price, but in fact was done in a cheated way. I know this isn't the store's fault but they have awful customer satisfaction policies. From prior experiences, I wasn't going to even bother with them. It's costing me another couple hundred to fix this bracelet. Two sets of earrings I purchased also broke extremely quickly on their hinges. Overall out of 6 purchases here I was only happy with 2. I do have a piece I love from the SLO store, but it had a blemish so I got a really good price on it. read more

I absolutely HATE this place and it's employees and I would never return or recommend this business to anyone. I went here for the first time about two weeks ago, and my husband bought our youngest daughter a pair of earrings (on sale because everything is always on sale). We liked the earrings and considered buying more. So we went in today. As soon as we walked in, a small Asian girl with colored hair made a beeline for us and as my husband pointed out a ring to me (placing his finger on the glass of the display case) the girl yelled "please DONT touch the display cases! We can't have you touching the display cases! If you want to see something, ask me and I'll show it to you!". We literally weren't even allowed to look at anything because she harassed us the moment we got there, and after the way she spoke to my husband (it literally felt like she thought he was about to open the display case and take off with something) I turned to my husband and told him I didn't want him to spend his money in that store. We left. If you are concerned about theft- lock up your cheap ass silver jewelry. Don't harass honest customers who have only just walked in the store! read more
