This business is completely incompetent and took my money without the correct service provided. I booked a "private minivan" to pick me up from the train station months in advance of my vacation. The day before I was to leave on vacation, one of the workers e-mailed me and told me that I had booked a "shared minivan" and, therefore, my driver would not meet me at the gate. Instead, I was expected to search around the airport for one of their representatives. She told me that if I couldn't find a representative, then I would have to find a public phone booth on the streets and call them for assistance. I took my reservation from my purse and triple checked it. I had indeed booked a "private minivan" (and was certainly charged for it) which requires the driver to meet me at the gate. Of course, since this worker had emailed me the day before my trip and I didn't check my email until night time, it was too late to call her and correct her error. So, when I arrived at the train station in Paris (yes, I was on time...my train was actually 10 minutes early), I did what I was told and looked for one of their representatives. I scanned my arrival area for the first 25-30 minutes, being sure to stay well past the time my train was supposed to arrive. Nobody from Super Shuttle was there. I began searching the entire train station...looking at name tags and titles, asking the people who worked there for help and assistance. I went outside to see if representatives were standing out there. After about an hour searching for these non-existent "representatives," I realized they probably had never even sent a shuttle. So, I walked around the surrounding streets of Paris with my heavy backpack (lap top, camera, clothes, etc.), trying to locate a phone booth to call this business. After about an hour and a half of searching the streets for a phone booth and asking several train station officials where the closest phone booth was (which nobody knew, and no, they wouldn't let me use their phones), I decided just to get a taxi, even though I had already dished out the money for the private minivan. I had even stood on the side of the road for about 20-30 minutes to catch the names of all the other bus companies passing by. I was hoping to see Super Shuttle so I could wave them down. When I finally got to my hotel, I emailed the worker at Super Shuttle again and explained to her that there was no representative there to pick me up. I told her that I had stayed in the arrival area well past my arrival time, had searched the entire station and streets for hours for a phone booth or a Super Shuttle representative. I told her that her business's incompetence is not my fault and I should not have to pay for the arrival trip to my hotel that never even happened. Her response was "I am really sorry to hear you missed your shuttle today" and then she went on to tell me what time my driver would pick me up from my hotel for the returning trip home. She completely disregarded the fact that I paid for a service which was not provided. She took no responsibility whatsoever. If this was back home, I would be suing this company, or at least filing a formal complaint with someone who matters. But, obviously I'm not going to get refunded from a French company when I'm leaving this country in a couple of days. Don't even put yourself in that situation.
