We arrived early today and walked to the Eiffel Tower to get that major site seeing in early. As we walked past the tower, we saw that there were river 'cruises' and it sparked an interest in us. We just got off a 7hr flight and dropped our bags at the hotel, so we decided it was best to hop on the BatoBus instead of walking from one destination to another. The second we got on the Batobus we were so relieved because it was nice and warm compared to the outdoors! We loved that the boat is covered and doesn't have open space for excessive wind (which might be nice in the summer). We got off and came on to the BatoBus without any issues, but the timing isn't 100% consistent. When we bought the tickets, we were told the boat came every 30 minutes but we waited about an hour for our first ride. This wasn't a huge deal to us, but to some it might be if they're on a time crunch. We really loved the 24hr ticket and used it all day to conveniently go from one sight to another without tired and exhausted legs! We both agree this is the best decision we made when coming to Paris on our first day. (We came in March, which is probably more offseason) I would definitely do this again if I come back here and would recommend it to others as well.

Fabrice: he doesn't like to wear his flotation device (it's on the railing) even though the boat is in motion. Safety violation?

Nice idea, but some of their staff is rude as hell. Fabrice, for example, is condescending, a bully, and particularly mean to small children. To provide details, we have an autistic son who has a stroller with all of his comfort items, etc. For the last three years, we've brought it. Never a problem. But we get on and Fabrice says no, it has to go on the front. I start to explain it's never been a problem before in the last three years, and he cuts me of and says "in fact it's us that makes the rules." Then I'm scanning 5 tickets and of course it takes a little longer. Fabrice pushes in and says "let me give you an example of how to scan things." Look Fabrice, if you hate your job so much, maybe consider working security at a mall? That may give you the low grade power over others you crave.

We wanted to take a quick tour of the city from the Seine but didn't want a guided tour. We had done the dinner cruise last year and wanted to do something less formal. This boat fit the bill. We were able to get right on as they run about 20 minutes per station. We bought a paper ticket at a kiosk at the D'orsay stop. The lady in front of us obviously bought her ticket online as she had a barcode on her phone You board and scan your bar code or e ticket on the boat. It did appear that some of the stations did not have a person to buy a ticket at a kiosk but all of the validation occurred on the boat. So you can either get an eTicket or a paper ticket and ride all day until about 7 PM. Our cost was $20 per person which we thought was reasonable given a one hour guided tour was about half that. We rode the full loop and got off two stops after our original boarding. Really great views of the Eiffel tower from docking at that port.

We loved it! After a really bad experience with Tootbus we tried Batobus and were thrilled! It was much cooler than being stuck on a hit bus and a wonderful way to see all of the sights. Our guide, Julien, was delightful. You can't beat the price either. The stop we needed was tricky to find so I hope they improve on that in the future.

During our time in Paris, we used the Batobus as a means of transportation a few times with the 2 day pass. It is a river boat shuttle service on the river Seine. You can get on and off as often as you like. It stops at 9 different locations including the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and the Louvre. We were in Paris during the off season, and it was cold and rainy. There were no lines waiting to get on the boats and no crowds. No issues whatsoever!! Would use this service again.

Was in Paris for a few days and wanted to do something different! Decided to go on a river cruise! It was great and attendants were very nice. You get to see a different view of Paris. The reason I gave 4 stars is though was that it's a hop on hop off river cruise and they stopped at 9 stops and sat their for 15min each time. If you want to get off and explore the area than it's perfect but if you just wanna a nice cruise without the stopping maybe look elsewhere for that kind of experience! Regardless the boats were nice and clean and warm !! (We went in March) Hope this helps!!

The Metro seems to be the most convenient form of transportation around Paris. If you need to get somewhere far along the Seine, however, I would highly recommend taking the Batobus. There's nothing like taking a scenic ride down one of the most famous rivers in the world. For just 14 euro (9 for students, whoo!), you have the whole day to go wherever you want along the river. The employees are all really friendly and used to dealing with tourists. One complaint I would have is that it takes quite a while compared to a ride on the metro. However, it is worth the great views and the breeze of the river rushing past your face!

Welcome Pickups came onto my radar when airbnb, seeing I had an upcoming reservation for a Paris lodging, offered Welcome Pickups as a means of transportation to that lodging. It worked out so smoothly that I went ahead and booked through them again when I needed to return to CDG Airport. On both ends of the journey my driver was easy to locate, arrived on-schedule, helped with baggage, and provided a most comfortable trip to and from the airport in a clean car being safely driven. One direction ran €52, the other €54. The convenience? Priceless. I notice some unfavorable reviews of Welcome Pickups here on yelp, but not for their services in Paris. In Paris, my experience is that this company operates professionally and responsibly. I'd happily use their services again, when next in Paris.

The Uber service in London and Paris were lacking with long wait times and plenty of cancellations. The taxis were available in most cities although very expensive. During the second half of our European adventure we began using the Welcome Pickups service to provide transfers from our hotel to airport and vice versa. The transfers went seamless in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Ireland and Scotland. Each driver notified me through WhatsApp twenty-four hours prior to the pre-determined pickup location and included a photo of the vehicle, name and phone number of the driver. In addition, the driver monitored my flight progress taking into consideration of delays to prepare adjustments for pickup or drop off times. The drivers notified me upon arrival, which was always fifteen minutes early at the hotel curb or waiting in the immediate area. They introduced themselves and assisted placing all bags into their vehicle. During the comfy rides, each driver was chatty providing a brief historic education of the area. What a difference with Uber or Lyft drivers (if they actually show up) who merely get you from point A to point B with zero verbal interaction. The transfer service was approximately $50.00 per use. Tipping of course is always optional, especially in Europe, but we gave 5€ every ride. Since I never heard if this transfer service I was hesitant and a non believer thinking it would be the same as other ride share companies in the States - I admit that I was wrong. I highly recommend Welcome Pickups for long or time sensitive rides throughout Europe and will definitely use them again and promote it's A+ service to friends and family.

My sorority sisters and I used a Facebook group called "Loudmouths" for our repeated trips to the Louder Than Life music festival in Louisville, and had trusted Uber drivers on our Facebook group to take us to and from the three day event. Because the festival is so hugely attended, the costs of everything skyrocket. Uber pricing does too! The Loudmouths helped us a. ensure we were getting a legitimate driver/ride for each Uber we took, and b. ensured we were charged the fees we arranged up front. I was surprised how many unethical Uber drivers there were in Louisville. Color me naive. Several times I nearly entered the wrong vehicle. I was grateful there were three of us to help keep it all on the up and up. My Uber in the Atlanta area was much appreciated! Anytime I have the opportunity to not drive in the Atlanta area is a blessing! This was a one-way trip, the driver arrived on time as promised, and charged the promised fee. It was an Uber win! The app is useful, easy to navigate, and Uber offers Uber Eats where they deliver restaurant meals (and I believe groceries) to your home/business. I do hope its true we have Uber available in Athens, Alabama. Our neighboring sister, Huntsville, Alabama has had Uber for years. Likely Huntsville has Lyft, too.

While we booked our own cellar tours, Stephane helped us optimize the itinerary, recommending the best route, timing, and stops to make the most of the day. One of his best suggestions was to visit one cellar in Reims and the other in Épernay rather than staying in a single town. This allowed us to enjoy a scenic drive through the picturesque vineyards, visit the iconic Avenue de Champagne, and stop in Hautvillers, the charming village of Dom Pérignon, where we took in stunning views over the Marne Valley and the surrounding vineyards. Those thoughtful recommendations turned an already exciting day into an unforgettable experience. Stephane also recommended several lunch stop options, including Le Bellevue Restaurant & Bar inside the Royal Champagne Hotel in Champillon (which is the one we selected). It was the perfect choice, with exceptional food and sweeping views over the Champagne vineyards--one of the most memorable meals of our trip. The little touches he added before and during our trip made all the difference. He greeted us with fresh croissants to start the day, and after one of our cellar tours, he surprised us with delicious bakery treats for an afternoon pick-me-up. His attention to detail and genuine hospitality made us feel incredibly well taken care of from start to finish. We were so impressed with Stephane's service that both my friend and I immediately booked him again for our airport departures. His local knowledge, professionalism, reliability, and warmth truly set him apart. If you're looking for an outstanding private driver in Paris or the Champagne region, I can't recommend Stephane, or one of his colleagues, highly enough. He played a huge role in making our trip so special. (As a note, I had Mr. Do for my airport drop off because Stephane was already booked for my friend who had to leave earlier than me for the airport.
