My family never thought it would happen but BOOM, done! After several visits, Super Sardo's finally BEAT our long-favorite champ for our best local pizza in Pinellas county. Not quite local, I gladly drive 25+ mins each way for the excellent pizza here. We loved our old local Mom and Pop joint in SP at Rutland Plaza for 30+ years, but quality could sometimes be hit-or-miss, and their crust edges were often thrown away by some? Sardo's now wins in all 3 categories for us: best sauce, best cheese, and most importantly, best crust that was devoured 100%! No more tossing away plates full of "pizza bones!" As for the service? It's always been great! I read a few of you have had "problems," but for pizza this good? I really do not care even if they tell me to F-Off as I leave... This is my first time trying Sardo's. I had heard really good things about it from a friend of mine, so I figured why not give it a shot. I carried out a slice of pizza. A slice of cheese is $3.75 and every topping you add is 75 cents per topping. I got mushrooms, green peppers and onions. First impression. It's a generous size slice. So far, off to a good start. At first bite, I was pleasantly surprised. The dough is of high quality. And there were a lot of toppings on the slice. However, it seemed to be really skimpy on cheese. There were two garlic knots on the pizza as well. I'm not sure if that's standard of if it was because it was my first time there, but those were delicious. Definitely made my pants become more snuggish at the waist line. Overall the experience was a good one. I wish there was more cheese on the pizza and the price seems a bit much for a slice. But I would definitely give them a 4.5/5. Will be going back and maybe trying just a cheese slice. read more

Owner acted like a jerk, when I told him "Hi we've never been here before, MJ sent us" He just rolled his eyes at me. He then proceeded to tell me the specials so fast I couldn't understand him. I'd give negative stars if I could. I ordered a pizza and garlic knots last night. They were out of garlic knots and offered free breadsticks instead. I picked up the pizza and three free breadsticks and in the car I could smell that something was burned. It turns out it was the ENTIRE ORDER. Completely not edible. When I returned it to the restaurant for a refund, shockingly, no apology was given or an offer to make new edible food. Then, in response to my 100% truthful review, Sardo's was disrespectful, rude and mocked me. Being originally from the East Coast ( Boston area ), our pizzas have a huge greek influence and southern Italian flavor to them. I lived in Austin, TX for almost a decade and you cannot find pizza for the life of you there that is good. I work near here and I can assure you being all over the East Coast this is some of the best pizza ever. The Sicilian pizza especially is incredible! The dough, sauce and cheese are just right. All the thin slice options are terrific as well as the meatball sliders. I have meant to write a review here for a while I come here at least once or twice a week. The turning point in compelling me to write a review is that this business set aside a booth; that is jam packed every day at lunch time to make space for Christmas toy donations for foster kids. It is so awesome. I have never seen a business so committed to charity and such a wonderful cause like this so openly to help the community; even reducing potential occupancy in the restaurant to help the community out. I plan on donating toys shortly and thank you for the amazing pizza every day plus being a business that cares so much about great charitable causes. read more

I already left a review before of the crappy treatment this place gave me after I found a hair in my pizza. They basically accused me of lying even though I never asked anything. They never apologized and ended up throwing me and my 3 friends out. The manager/owner guy (bald, 40s) was the biggest jerk I've ever met and I left having paid over $22 for 2 SLICES OF A HAIRY PIZZA!!! Sardos, you're supposed to be a Christian establishment. Im actually upset with myself that i took so long to try this place because it is 100% legit. I was blown away. I dont even eat meatballs at pizza places and the meatball slider was great. The slice of regular was great and the garlic knots were great. They even understand to have pepper Parmesan and garlic powder at the table. The memorabilia all over the place is a great touch. Never been a big fan of thin NY style pizza, until I tried Sardo's pizza. Stopped by at lunch time with my grandson. Very friendly staff, with the feel of a neighborhood restaurant in Brooklyn. The owner talks up everyone that comes through the door, in a good way. The day we were there they had a special, 2 slices with a fountain drink $6.95! Great deal because these are huge slices!!! So we ordered a plain and also a pepperoni slice, also a order of garlic bread (4 pieces) nice lunch. The pizza had a great crust and not soggy at all!
