This place is a beautiful illusion. The interior design is absolutely to die for, but unfortunately, the service and quality of the work do not match the aesthetic. This was my first time visiting the salon. I was in the area visiting a friend, and we decided to get our nails done together. I requested a builder gel removal and a new set with medium-to-long nails, a French tip, and chrome. I was quoted $60 for the set, $10 for the removal, $25 for the French, and another $10-$15 for the chrome. That's roughly $50 in additional charges just for enhancements, which is already pretty outrageous. I had an event out of town the following day, so despite the pricing, I decided to go ahead and pay for what I wanted. Unfortunately, the technician, who was also the salon manager, could not deliver the look I requested, despite confidently charging me for it. We eventually backtracked and went with something much simpler, and even then, I received one of the lowest-quality nail sets I have ever had. I also requested builder gel, but I'm fairly certain what was applied was Gel-X. The product and overall application felt extremely cheap--honestly, it looked and felt like something that could have been purchased off Amazon. The next day, one nail completely fell off and another broke. I called the salon, and they offered to fix them, which I appreciate, but I live on the opposite side of town, so returning was not convenient. After spending approximately $90 on the service, plus a $30 tip, I was extremely disappointed and unsatisfied. If a salon is going to charge premium prices, the quality of the work should reflect those prices--and unfortunately, it simply did not. The salon itself is beautiful, but the experience was not worth the money. I would not recommend this place based on my experience. It felt like a complete rip-off, and I expected much better quality for what I paid. read more

I got a brow wax here and my eye lids have second degree burns. The wax felt very hot when applied, and placed super low on the eyelid. There are severe burns on the crease of each of my eyelids. When I reached out to SuperNails with photos they claimed to have a no refund policy! Apparently they can never offer a refund - even if you get harmed or burned. Would never ever get a wax here again. They offered 10% off their future services. I will never go back. I understand the temp can get too hot, and would have accepted a refund for the service and visited again. The staff are kind and have always done a good job otherwise. Poor management read more

I got there at 10:35 and didn't leave until 12:05. It took FOREVER! She did the same process over and over and squeezed my fingers so much that I was feeling my arm go numb. She cut my finger and it was bleeding. She didn't speak English and needed a translator. I didn't get the hand massage with lotion or a back massage that I saw another customer get.The quality of the work was poor and uneven. Then it was time to pay and they charged me $81 for a manicure. I will NOT be back. The place was also SO cold that my hands were freezing. Just don't go here. read more

Stopped in here for the first time after 3 weeks of barefoot and sand walking. They take walk ins and I only waited 5 minutes for a technician. I picked the jelly pedi and what a treat! The warm water is transformed into a bath of gelatin and it feels weird but comfortable. I was given a wonderful pedicure for almost an hour and came away with the best looking toes. This salon has just been remodeled and it's so nice! Beautiful nail stations, beautiful pedi chairs that are clean and well lit. They also offer eyebrow and lash services The staff are all super friendly and professional. I will totally stop here again and I def recommend! read more

I've been coming here for a few years. It's usually been a good experience until recently. The last dip manicure I had they charged my card twice. It took a few weeks for them to figure it out for me and credit me back after I called them numerous times. I still decided to go back after that. Terrible experience , went in for a dip, manicure and gel pedicure. I got my pedicure first, and then they said they would match my nails to my toes. I already put my tennis shoes on, so didn't Check just trusted it would work. I got home and they did not match at all. I went in the next day to ask if they could just change it to a lighter color since dip and gel never seem to match they then tried to charge me $30 and then they went to 15 after I told them what an inconvenience all of this was and you think they would just wave it all together since they double charged my card the last time I was in there they wouldn't budge. They lost a client over $15. I will never go back again! I was a client that never came in and complained either. What a joke! read more

I have been going to Super Nails since I was 16 years old. I am now 39. I have never had a bad experience until recently. UT did my nails and it took 2.5 hours and was the worst experience. I am now looking for a better salon. Oh, and don't worry, they will charge you incorrectly and then call you later and tell you to come back and pay for their mistake. Good luck everyone! read more

This morning around 10AM I called to make an appointment for a Dip. When I made the appointment the person just asked me my first name after we agreed on the appointment time. I arrived to my appointment between 3:00-3:05. When I arrived to check in the lady asked me the first and last name I scheduled under. I said I was never asked my last name and only gave my first name. I gave her my name and she was not finding me on the schedule. Then she asked who I scheduled with and I said,"I don't know she sounded like you". She said she just started her shift so it wasn't her. She then said she found my name and realized I was there for a dip and pointed to where the dip color choices were. I found my color and then stood there. One of the nail techs called over the receptionist. The receptionist then told me that I have a 30 minute wait and I could wait in my car (over 80 degrees outside) or come back. The reality is it probably would have taken longer then thirty minutes as I saw her just applying tips to the lady she was serving. (Beginning of process). I then cancelled my appointment. I did not want to wait 30 plus minutes for an appointment that I scheduled. read more

I may not return to this nail salon. They are always very rough and aggressive when they take off polish and also when filing. Today, the tech shaped one hand differently than the other. Every time I tried to tell her, she shooshed me. She didn't speak English either. Then, she brought out the wrong color. She transposed 2 of the numbers. I wasn't going to have her start over though. Pricing - they always seem to add on more somehow. Shaping? Extra to choose a shape? gel over dip was extra - fine, but let me know in advance at least. Looking for a new place. read more

She used to work at a nail salon 2 mins away from my house and I decided to follow her all the way to White Bear Lake (25 mins drive). She is absolutely worth the extra time it takes for me to commute. She is very friendly, professional, and talented. My nails always look exactly how I want and she always makes sure to ask if I like the shape, color, etc. during the process. I was over charged. My nails were filed too hard, it hurt. My finger was cut and bleeding from cuticle removal.

The look of the nails are great. I had used this business for over two years. For gel full sets. Became more obvious when using dip over the last few months, it showed a "bill-in obsolescence" for nateral nail failure. The nateral nail would break off when the dip isn't as adhesive This has happened for myself and my daughter. While at the nail salon noticed a larger number of client in to fix one or more broken nail. It all became obvious to me when I was in for a new dip. My nail was grown out yet the tech would break off my natural nail during a visit because they used electric nail file that ran through the dip and my own nail. Now I needed a new nail tips more $$ and time to grown out my nail underneath. Dip should be a healthy choice to grow out your own nail and keep them intact, Not going back to have growth taken away. I feel completely taken advantage of. read more

Don't go to the white bear lake super nails. I got white pus spots in the bottom of my feet from their pedicure products. The product they are using for dip nails is illegal and they should not be using it. It causes your nails to break and a nail fungus. read more

Used dirty implements on me and didn't remove any of my dry skin aka why i went to get a pedicure in the first place. Did receive a decent massage but not worth it. When she opened my polish a giant hair came out with it. Then she made me change my color because she couldn't get the hair out and picked a color nowhere near similar. read more

Lady cut my finger, and told me it's all my fault and that I was moving. She pulled my fingers so aggressively they'd crack. The color I showed her and picked out was "Horribly ugly for myself". I will NEVER be going back, you couldn't pay me to go back. read more

We had reservations for 6 of us to get manicures and pedicures, at 6 pm. They only had 4 employees for us. After my pedicure, I was the third done, I explained what I wanted for nails and knew it would take longer. I had to wait almost 45 minutes for someone to help me. Another woman got done sooner but started doing nails for another person in our party. I explained what I wanted done but there was a miscommunication or something and then half way through said she couldn't do that and it wouldn't look nice anyway. Ive had it done at a different salon and thought it looked good. Oh well. I got tips and a dip, it took over an hour. My nails do look nice but it took too long. Why even book reservations if they aren't even going to have the employees for us?They closed at 8 but we didn't leave until 9. Everyone else in the party was just waiting for me. I would have gone elsewhere to begin with but came here with a party. I will not be going back. read more

This has to be the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I wanted a simple glitter nail and a small ombré glitter on one finger. I made sure to ask first if the nail tech knew how to do this, cause I don't mind paying the extra $5 for something if it's done right..and of course she said yes. I wanted a specific color, and right off the bat this nail tech is already telling me you should do this color instead blah blah blah that (glitter)won't show the same as it is on the nail color sample wheel..why would you have it on there if it's not going to look like that???? So I followed her advise cause duh she's a nail tech she knows better right??? So she tried the color and what she suggested wasn't even showing right!! I really tried to keep myself calm through all this, so I finally said Just do the original color I wanted and she did. Nothing against this lady she was nice at first and started to have an attitude whenever I kept trying to show her the design to remind her what I wanted since she started to look clueless and kept asking what I want, which finger I want it on blah blah blah. We get to the ombré design part and it's just not looking right so I asked if she could make it more gradient, the way she did it was literally cut straight and not even a fading ombré effect . She tried to argue and say that that's how they do ombré and if I don't like it she can take it off.. (so rude) if that's the case, I think they need better ombré training. I hate to be that person to tell someone how to do their job.. so I finally was just like ok just do something else instead.. I showed her a much simpler design. A little glitter curve on my cuticle , on one finger!!! And I paid $5 for this. Horrible horrible service and experience!! She had a snotty face the whole time, pulling my hand hardly ugh! and I know she can tell I was so unsatisfied, my nail has glitter all over because she was struggling to clean it up properly.. Like I told her, if you would've said you couldn't do it I would've gladly left or chose not to pay the extra $5 for a little sprinkle of glitter on one finger. Ridiculous. read more

I started going to Super Nails approximately one year ago, After my previous WBL salon had let themselves go. (sold ownership, now dirty, not as friendly) I tried a few salons from Stillwater, Woodbury and N St Paul. SUPER NAILS is by far the best I've found! Always clean, very friendly, works with you on your time schedule, sneaks you in when a nail is broken. Just plain old the best! Easy to get to, Bar/Restaurant right next store if you or someone needs to wait. Hardware and Drug store in the same strip mall, Grocery across the street and Caribou Coffee on the corner. I do usually make an appointment, but have gone last minute and got great service. I like ALL the employees, don't have a favorite! Reasonable prices too! read more
