They are under new management and I needed my nails done in a pinch. I was able to get an immediate appointment and the nail tech was super sweet and offered me something to drink. Well, she had wine, so I had a glass of that while she was doing my nails. She asked what colors I wanted, and if I wanted a design my nails since my current nails already had designs on them. I told her that I would love a design, and I trusted whatever she wanted to put on my nails. She took her time and made sure that my nails were done petfect. They are the exact length that I wanted them and she wanted to be sure that they look the best that they could. She had put music on throughout the store and that, coupled with the wine, made me feel like I was on a cruise vacation. It was a really good experience. read more

After trying multiple other nail salons in the area, from Murrysville to Penn Hills and everything in between, I have found my go-to nails salon with Super Nails. Jenny rocks--she does an amazing job on my nails, and I feel that I get an excellent experience and service for the price. I'm pretty no-fuss and like to keep my nails short., but I've gone in with pictures from IG, and she's always provided an on-the-spot application and design. I have a full set, and Jenny only uses gel polishes, so my nails always look fantastic in between my biweekly visits. Jenny only takes one customer at a time, and it's by appointment only--she rarely, if ever, has same-day appointments over the weekend, so be sure to call and schedule with her in advance. Another heads up is that the salon requires masks for service, do make sure to bring one with you. read more

I had a pedicure. They did the bare minimum. For almost forty dollars, I expect not to be leaving like nothing was done. The place is also dirty. And the lady was crappy to a woman and refused her because came in to get her toes done and she didn't bring her own flip flops. Then I was shooed out after sitting a few minutes at the feet dryer. If I could give less than one star, I would. Terrible service. Attitude problem. No thank you. It's close to my work so I thought I'd try it. I'll be going elsewhere in the future. read more

i went to get my a full set when k called in the owner was extremely rude! I've never been to this establishment before so I'm asking about prices for each length the owner was comfortable and completely ok with her employee stating to me that he's concerned with my financial situation and feels uncomfortable with doing my nails after reassuring him that I'm more than capable of paying for my nails to be done. I've been decided that I no longer wanted to get service here, her employee then proceeded to try to snatch my freshly pressed on nails off of my fingers, and I left out with not even the rest of my nails being cut down. My husband went to speak with the owner, and she was completely satisfied and content with the unprofessional behavior of her employee not only that the employee had stated to me that the trashcan in the back was trash and when I went to look inside, I had seen that the trash was a towel holder so the road owner goes can you not see the sign it says towels only I watched this owner consistently turn away black clients only a be extremely rude to black clients only and treat them like secondhand citizens and not correct her employees for mistreating miss using and miss speaking to their black employees. I would not recommend anybody to go to this nail salon whatsoever. read more

I was bringing my 88 year old mother there and asked a few questions about their services. I wouldn't have stayed, but she really wanted a manicure and pedicure. After a year-long search, I have found my forever nail salon in Pittsburgh. The salon is clean, and was quite busy, even on a random Thursday. Jenny is professional, quick, and competent! After you have been visiting nail salons for decades, as I have, you can tell in minutes when your hands are in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing. Jenny gave off that vibe immediately. I have waited for two weeks to post the review to make sure that there were no surprises after the first week--and there haven't been. I am getting compliments on my nails again, and I owe that to Jenny and Super Nails. I am really torn about Super Nails. On one hand (lol), Jenny and her husband do a STELLAR job on gel manis. Especially her husband--I did not catch his name; he's very quiet--he did an amazing job shaping my shortish nails and I swear his gel mani lasted longer than ANY other manicure I've ever had. It's also so affordable. On the other hand, let's be honest: this is not a friendly salon. I was prepared for the rudeness based on other reviews but I was still surprised. Like...I get it. You're here to work and churn out manicures every day of the week. And everyone has bad days. But the difference between how Jenny treats her regulars and new, "off the street" customers is ridiculous. I want to be a regular! But even after three biweekly visits I was still getting the cold shoulder while Jenny gushed over her weekly customers. Also, their young adult helper and/or daughter is comically rude. Each time I went and only AFTER Jenny barked at her, the girl basically threw the nail color samples at me while simultaneously watching a YouTube video AND sighing, as if I was personally making her do her trig homework. Get that girl out of there. She is not helping your image. I also watched Jenny basically scare off new customers who asked simple questions, including one woman who was just trying to treat her young daughter to a simple manicure for her birthday. When they left, she seemed to complain about them in not only her native language, but also in English to me. I just made noncommittal noises because my cuticles were at the mercy of her mood. So...it's up to you. If you want to trade off even BASIC customer service for a good cheap manicure, give Super Nails a try. But if you get your nails done not just to get a manicure, but for the relaxing self-care experience...Super Nails ain't it! read more

I made an appointment to get a full set of acrylics. When I arrived at the establishment, I explained I had an appointment. I did not experience a warm greeting. I was asked what I was having done. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems to me when the appointment was made it would have been notated what service was to be done. Once I was seated the woman who decides to announce to me what the price was. I wouldn't have been there if I could not afford to have my nails done. I asked the nail technician a couple of questions and each time the woman chimed in and answered. So I actually enjoyed my experience here. It wasn't relaxing in anyway, the boss was complaining the entire time about customers but the guy who did my nails was quick and simple. They turned out super nice. I got a gel manicure. The other thing is on Fridays and Saturdays she only takes walk ins or something. People were waiting for an hour or so, luckily I went in at an appropriate time I waited about 20-25 mins. Not a crazy choice of colors, over all it was okay. I'm more worried about the final outcome rather than the service and with that I am happy read more

New management since earlier this year. This is the 3rd time I've been since that time. 1st time I got a pedicure and it was fine, it should be noted that I was serviced by one of the old technicians who had remained and it appears she's no longer there. 2nd time there was one technician on a Saturday morning so I left and went elsewhere due to the long wait. 3rd time I arrived at 3:20 pm and didn't leave until 5:42 pm. I was seated with a tech within 5 minutes so the wait wasn't an issue. I wanted a fill-in with gel powder and also gel polish. The tech was horrible; nearly all of my cuticles are cut from filing. My nails are crooked and the polish is very sloppy. Every time I look at the nails I'm disgusted. After the tech removed my polish she asked if I wanted a cut down, I did but she cut most of the nails crooked - I pointed this out to her several times and she kept saying she would fix them and then would fix just one until I said something again but in the end they are still crooked. Before using the powder she kept putting glue on my nails, I asked her why and to stop and she explained something about lifting/breaking but I've never known this to be a common practice on every nail. When she started the gel polish process she kept having me remove my nails from the heat dryer sooner than usual (60 seconds) after she was finished I reached into my pocket (as gel polish nails do not take additional time to dry after the tech is finished) and the nails were actually not dry and they smeared. She attempted to fix them; they smeared again as they never dried completely. Finally she instructed me to sit in front of the fan, I did for about 7 minutes and before I got home they had smeared again and had hair from my sweater stuck to them (because they still were not dry). Oh also, before leaving the tech told me she doing me a favor and not charging me for a broke nail - I didn't have a broke nail, I had a tip that SHE removed and replaced on her own. She also told me I needed a new full set because my nails were "old" however, I actually had a new set out on just 2 weeks before and this was my first fill so that was completely untrue. Anyway, I called and spoke to the manager "Amy" (which I do not think is her name but she says it is because the old owners name was Amy) and she was very rude ("what's your point?", not helpful and told me to drive back to Edgewood so that she could see the issue (she was sitting there the whole time I was there) and that the tech could do it over. No thanks, I'd already spent 2 hours and 2 minutes on my afternoon off I would rather go elsewhere for better quality and service - convenience is not enough to keep me patronizing this shop. I also give Super Nails no stars. I went in to get a full set, and not only did it cost me twice the amount it usually does to get my nails fixed, but it was also the worst nails i have ever had. I went in at 7 pm (knowing they close at 8) and one other lady was in the middle of getting her nails done when i arrived. I didn't end up leaving until 9:30. The nails were separating from my fingers, and the lady who did them painfully sliced 6 of my 10 cuticles with the file. Within 6 days, 8 of my 10 nails had fallen off. When i went in to ask for a refund, the manager told me it had been two weeks, not six days, and the best she could do is fix them and not return my money. Thanks, but no thanks. read more

I would not give the business Super Nails any stars. On this day 6/4/17, this nail salon is horrible. The hospitality was unfriendly. They do not well described the difference in the different manicures available. I received poor service because the previous customers was not pleased with her nail getting smudge and it not being repaired. The nail technicians was explaining to the other nail technicians about the situation and didn't realize the customer also spoke Vietnamese and understood everything she was discussing. When she waited on me she seem irritated by the past situation and had no patience for a customer(me), who had not had artificial nails or a pedicure before so I was unfamiliar with the offers or the procedure. There were not a variety of nail colors to pick from and she seem irritated as I asked could I try on (3) different shades to see how the would look on my nail and match what I was wearing. I asked her if she did not want to do my nails, because she seemed irritated by my requests and questions. In the end, it cost to much for a full set of acrylics with a pedicure. It would be nice for a special if you are getting one the other is a packaged deal. My nails are already lifting at the base and it is only the 9th. I will have to get them done again, but NOT THERE. Also the color is almost neutral and I was looking for a metallic pink or a metallic rose gold. I will have to get them done again before the week is done, but I would not go there again, definitely, NOT THERE. read more
