TERRRRRRIBLE!!!!!!!! I am so so very disappointed. Got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure on a Friday. By Sunday there were areas where the gel was loosening, and a small chip on point of a finger. Went to have it fixed. Just a week later more problems where the gel was coming loose... I'm bad at picking at those things, but I did. The paint very easily peeled off. Usually my gel manicures last 2-2.5 weeks easily and are a pain to pee off! I was so dissatisfied. So I teach yoga in the neighborhood and I came about 7 days ago, and first couple days my nails looked great! However, that was only the first part of the week, day 7 well all 4 fingers completely peeled off. To be honest this is the 2nd time this has happened! I wouldn't been so upset( even though they are no chip) but when I came in to pay to have them fix them. The gentlemen looked me up and down as if I was bothering him. He refused to hardly even acknowledge me, and he said pick yo color. I told him that I needed to look through a lot of them to try and match the other hand. Yet again he sighed, I somehow the nail gods were in my favor, I found the color! I went to put them back, and he rudely said don't put them there. I politely said I was only trying to put it away, as I tend to keep things tidy. I am actually sitting here now, his behavior is making me feel like I am a piece of crap. This evening was my second time getting a manicure at super nails. I was first recommended by a friend who gets frequent mani/pedis at super nails. Her nails always looked great, so I decided to give them a try. After my first appointment I was thrilled. I had a full set of gel nails right before New Year's Eve. I had tried out a softer version of the 'stiletto nail' look and was very pleased at how well of a job Brian did. The price was phenomenal too! I scheduled another appointment two days ago to get my gels filled in because they were starting to look disastrous (I work with my hands a lot and aren't as careful as most). I ended up having to call and reschedule FOUR different times due to job constraints and each time, they were very kind and understanding. When I finally made it in today around 7:30pm, I was nervous because I knew they closed at 8 and I didn't want to push my luck or inconvenience them further than I already felt I had. I really wish I remembered her name, I'm going to call tomorrow and check, but anyways, this girl got my nails filled in, fixed, and changed the polish for me in a manner that didn't feel rushed or urgent even though it was close to closing time. In fact, the girl stayed in the shop with me until 8:45 (45 minutes after they closed people!!!) just to make sure my nails were dry. She knew my dad was coming to give me a ride home, and she even was insistent I stayed in the shop until he got there because of the bitter cold weather. I graciously declined and waited in the 7/11 nearby, but the offer was enough for me. There were two other people in the shop initially, but they left around 8:10-8:15 after their nails dried. I felt so bad for keeping her waiting, but was so so so impressed by their willingness to make sure I was satisfied and the job was done right and not rushed. I should also note that not once did I feel uncomfortable, or did they make me feel bad for staying later, that's just my own nature. So appreciative that they went the extra mile. I've been to Super Nails at least a half-dozen times. The manicures I've had have been hit or miss; often the edges were ragged and the polish chipped within a day. The pedicures seem to last quite a bit longer than the manicures, but sometimes they get a little too aggressive with the scary foot razor. The eyebrow waxes, though, they have been good. I'm rather picky about my eyebrows, and I've never been disappointed. Once, after a month of neglect, I went in and the associate didn't believe me when I told her how much I wanted them cleaned up. i've never written a review before on any site, but my experience at super nails today was so horrible i hope to warn others against visiting this place. i should have paid attention to the other reviews. i think a bullet list would be easier to write and read. enjoy: * i waited an hour and a half. * they told everyone the wait would be 30 minutes * there were 6(!) kids screaming and crying while we waited (two other women just left - this was not the "salon's" fault, but did not help the overall experience.) * after i waited an hour and a half, the woman rushed through my pedicure in 10 minutes (did a horrible job) * as she started my manicure, she clipped two of my cuticles - which bled so much she couldn't finish the manicure * my nails were ALL uneven and chipped even after she was "done" filing * she then went to charge me for both the manicure and the pedicure (after the second cuticle started bleeding, i told her i was done) *she then charged me $30 for a 10-minute pedicure and a 1.5 hour wait. i'm calling my card company tomorrow to reverse the charge. this place is ridiculously close to my house and i won't go back. my stupid cuticles are still bleeding and hurt. seriously? not one cuticle - two. i think after the wait and the blood - maybe they could have been a little nicer. and to charge my full price is ridiculous. i'm just hoping i don't end up with some crappy fungus to boot. it would figure, right? read more

Don't tell customers you can take them if you're going to have them wait in cold water for over 20 minutes. Wont ever be coming back-- they're also very pushy about up products and services, it's uncomfortable. There are other nails spas very closer that are way more creditable. read more

I been waiting for 25 minutes people continue to walk in and be helped and for me they tell me just wait your turn. Five customers have walked in after me and I'm still waiting and there is no commacation for me or maybe it's because I'm a man. This is your typical looking nail salon but with high quality services. This is the only place that I have settled on for excellent no chip manicures, as the color doesn't fade and the manicure lasts, like reallly lasts. I've been here maybe a dozen times so far and never has my manicure chipped or peeled off. It is usually done so well that they have to spend some good time taking it off when I come in for a new one. The pedicures are thorough and there are a lot of color options to choose from! When I went back for a fill in I asked if I had to pay for the broken one since I got them done in the same location and it hadn't even been a week of having them and they said that I still had to pay for that nail. i went to get my nails here back in june. i was a walk-in customer and they immediately attended me as soon as i got there. i believe these were around $28-$32 because i asked for the coffin shape. squared nails are about $25. the lady did them with regular polish, not gel, and once we were done, i went over to the nail air dryer. they turned out great and i loved them. they were also pretty cheap when compared to other nail salons. read more

They have nice new massage chairs when you get your pedicure. I got a no-chip gel manicure that lasts two weeks. It takes a little longer than a regular manicure, but looks great and natural. They have a parking lot, which is nice as it is right by Lincoln Square so street parking is a pain. However, the lot is metered, which is a little annoying. Have been here a handful of times ... each time, this place seems to get worse. Went yestereday evening for a mani and pedi and my toes and fingers are RAW!!! They cut me down to the quick on my toes and I am currently in antibacterial ointment to circumvent infection. There was nothing remotely close to a foot massage or hand massage, as they were over so quickly and the manicure is already peeling. I find the staff rude, and they barely acknowledge that you are there. I have half a mind to call the health inspector, as I don't believe their practices for cleaning and sanitizing the cuticle cutter, nail clippers, etc. are up to speed. And I thought that using those razors was illegal these days???? They certainly didn't use them on me, but they did ask my friend if she wanted them to use it on her. I just recently moved to the neighborhood and this is the closest nail salon to my apartment. I have been more than pleased with the service! The first time I visited I didn't realize you had to pay to park in the parking lot (it's a strip mall and you have to pay to park?? Welcome to city life I guess). I didn't realize this until I had already sat down for my pedicure so the technician I was working with was gracious enough to make sure a parking sticker got placed on my car windshield so I wouldn't get a ticket. They are also always willing to take my business even if my mani/pedi runs the risk of forcing them to stay a little past closing time without making me feel bad (I try not to do this very often!). They were so busy they just wanted me to get in and out. They put a base, plus 3 layers of polish, plus a top coat on in 15 min. I dried for 30min there and my half hr drive. An hour later, even two hours later, my nails were still gummy. By the time I got to dinner night they looked horrible, and the next day (for my friends wedding) they were cracked. This is now the only place I go to for no-chip manicures! Their no chip is the smoothest and stays on longer than any other no-chip manicure I've ever had with little to no peeling at the edges. I had an awful experience when I came here last week. I got a regular pedicure and a no chip manicure, which are what I usually get; however, last week when I got my manicure, it started chipping after a few days even though it should last a few weeks. Then, the woman, who was giving me the manicure and pedicure, offered and introduced a "new product"- a massage, I believe. She was using gloves the whole time while executing this procedure, and the feeling of the gloves against my skin was extremely uncomfortable. I was wondering why she didn't use her bare hands. This process would have been better if the gloves weren't in the way. Id try giving the product one more chance; however, I am still not satisfied with the results and I felt ripped off, especially about the gloves part. read more

I was very disappointed with my trip here, especially with the employee that was doing my nails. She seemed fairly new as I haven't seen her face before but she was awful, she was lousy and reckless, totally disregarding my request as to how I wanted my nails filed. Her work place was also dirty with tissues and tools laying around, I barely had room to put my hands and when cleaning my nails she was dirty and hurt me but kept telling me to "calm down" when I confronted her on how much she was hurting me. I love this place. They're fast, they do a great job and it's NOT FUSSY. If you want a latte with your manicure go somewhere else and pay $60 for it. If you're after great nails at a great price go HERE. The pedicure chairs are really amazing...and new. I called in advance to ask if they still had acrylic powder with glitter in it, and they told me they did. I actually called twice before I went down there. When I got there, and I told her I wanted the french manicure with the glitter and french pedicure she said she could do both with glitter so I got super excited. She started my pedicure first then she started bringing me different bottles of glitter asking me which one I wanted. I responded I just wanted the one that came in the acrylic. It took me 10 minutes of explaining and at the end she tried to tell me that the product had been discontinued. I left right after my pedicure which was 33 dollars and I will not be coming back. I came home and looked online (right from google) - I found 5 or 6 different prodcucts that had acyrlic powder with the glitter already in it. I didn't let them add glitter to the acyric powder because they only had really bright pinks and blues and really really dark colors. the acyrlic powder I was referring to is really subtle. It's like very subtle white, pink, and a shimmer of silver. also, even though there is a parking lot, you have to pay the meter. lame. read more
