Not good. Typical place like in CA that asks for tip before food and service. Staff was rude. Fountain drinks were turned off and had to ask to be turned on with scoffs from staff. Honey mustard was "clogged" when having to pump your own. And you're expected to tip when you have to clean your place and empty your trash when done eating? Terrible. Overpriced to boot. Best customer service I've had in a long time, but the food fell short. The young man at the counter went above and beyond to be friendly and personable. The menu is pretty simple: chicken, fries, salads, drinks & custard! I opted for a crispy chicken salad which looked amazing but was soggy and bland. My kids had chicken fingers and fries and they were far from impressed. The chicken could've used more seasoning and probably could've fried about 3 minutes or so. I suggest asking them to frying your tenders crispy to avoid getting soggy chicken. The fries were ok- a little salt and pepper made them better. The saving grace here is the sauce bar! We tried each dipping sauce and they were all a hit! The food is is pricey so be prepared for that! I spent almost $60 for a salad, chicken tenders, fries & drinks! Inside of the restaurant is vibrant and fun! There was good music playing overhead which was a nice touch! There are plenty of booths and tables for inside dining. I've heard of this place and there are now I believe 2 locations in NJ. I saw this place had good ratings and was looking forward to it and honestly the food did not disappoint. The website was a little buggy and wouldn't let me order online even though it said I should've been able to order...regardless, in person ordering was easy. We loved the Cheesy BBQ burger, cajun fries, and chicken tenders. The large cajun fries is a LARGE. It was around $8 and definitely pricey, but it's a big portion and the seasoning was delicious. Stumbled upon yet another chicken spot - this one close to work! Before all of this chicken mania - years ago one place stood out for me "Ranch One" chicken. They had a bunch of them in NYC. Grilled chicken on semolina bread with their unique thousand islands-like sauce and hand cut fries. They were great. Dunno what happened to them. Anyway, I had the grilled blackened chicken here at Superchix and it reminded me of that earlier place. The chicken here was super moist, delicious, hot off the grill - just excellent! Ummm, wow. Saw a video review of this place and decided to give them a spin. There are no shortage of premium fast food joints in this area and while Shake Shack has reigned supreme since I can remember, this new spot takes the chicken game to an entirely new level. Now, as other people have mentioned, it ain't cheap but $12 for a massive grilled chicken sandwich and giant drink isn't really all that bad, especially when you factor in quality. They offer a variety of entrees, sandwiches and salads all of which have the option of fried or grilled, of which I chose the ladder. They also have some pretty damn good fries and shakes. For me, grilled is usually a compromise. Fried tastes better but has a lot more calories. No compromises here at all. Grilled was fantastic, especially when paired with one of their sauces. I mean, $5.29 for 1 chicken tender on a half bun with 2 little pickles is just ridiculous. But that would've been overlooked if it was cooked properly. The outside coating was fine, but the chicken wasn't cooked in the middle, so I was only able to eat either end. Also, the fries, while nicely seasoned, were cold, limp, & soggy. Come on, Super Chix. Parked right out front in the parking lot and went inside. good variety to choose from (salad, tenders, sandwiches, fries). the dude was super helpful -really great customer service, they even have a punch card for you to use to as incentive. plenty of indoor seating with TVs everywhere for you watch sports or other entertainment. They bring the food to you which is nice too. Fountain drink is unlimited. The nashville hot salad is pretty big & fillling, but also very spicy so just a heads up. the tenders were not worth the $ in my opinion, really tiny pieces but juicy nevertheless with lots of dipping sauces (all average). the bacavo ranch sandwich fried was also not too shabby, doesn't taste too greasy. our favorite was probably the strawberry cheesecake custard- super creamy & delicious. the total for the 3 entrees, one fountain drink and custard was $40 for 3 people. overall, great customer service but the food was just ok... had crispier, tastier chicken elsewhere read more

I was very impressed with my first visit to Super Chix Chicken & Custard. The whole Nashville-style Hot Chicken thing seems to be all the rage right now; at least if the number of new restaurants featuring this is any indication. So that's what I was expecting, but I was pleased to find that Super Chix is much more than just Nashville Hot Chicken, although they do have that. By my count, they have ten different chicken sandwiches, five sizes of chicken tenders, six salad options, hand-cut fries, coleslaw, a whole separate menu of frozen custard options, and FRIED PICKLES! Yes, fried pickles! It's a dish that you either love or hate. I don't think there's any in-between. If you're a fried pickle lover, then you know it's just something you must order when you see it, and I did just that. I'll try their chicken on my next visit. They have two sizes, regular for $5.49 and large for $7.49. Naturally I got the large, and it was indeed large. They make each batch fresh, give you a number on a stand, and deliver the food to your table. At this point it's worth noting that both chicken and fried pickles can be greatly enhanced when paired with interesting dipping sauces, and Super Chix has eight different "handmade" sauces to choose from! Actually, it might be seven. I suspect the ketchup probably isn't handmade. The sauces are all self-serve from their "Sauce Bar" and they're all free. I chose Nashville Hot, Buffalo, Barbeque, Buttermilk Ranch, Korean BBQ and their Signature Sauce. They were all very good, but the Nashville Hot, the Korean BBQ and their Signature Sauce where my favorites. The pickle chips themselves where very good, but still need a bit tweaking to make them perfect. The coating, while crispy, still had a bit of a raw flour taste, but that might have just been the batch I got. The restaurant is a very nice place to eat. It's spotlessly clean and has a pleasant comfort food vibe. I was also very impressed by the employees. They were all very friendly and seemed extremely well trained. There was an air of quiet efficiency in the place. Everyone was busy and working diligently. The manager even stopped by my table to ask how I was doing and inquired if I needed anything. New restaurants usually need some time to work out the kinks, but Super Chix seems to already be kink free. I hope they keep it up. I will certainly be back. I look forward to trying the fried pickles again, and hopefully the chicken. read more

Food was ok. Sandwiches were decent sized but $4.50 for fries? Little chincy on the portion. 2 sandwiches and 2 reg fries was over $30. Lots of sauces but a few were empty. The original sauce was the best. The service made mistakes and took a while for the food. They were disorganized and the cashiers were confused and not so with it. I would give it a try for yourself but they need to get a little more with it. I could get a fresh and hot restaurant made frield chicken sandwich and fries for $15 alomost anywhere these days that's bigger and not so fast-foody. read more

Went here at their soft opening event on Friday 9/23/22. I tried the crispy avocado, fried pickles, chicken tenders, Cajun fries. Today 9/26/22 ( grand opening day) I had the bacavo ranch with fried pickles and had a pint of custard to go. Will update when I try the custard. You can seriously get chicken wasted here lol. There's a grilled option too. There's still more on the menu I need to taste test but everything so far from food to service has been phenomenal. Love love love the service, food and the environment. Just a heads up everything is fried in peanut oil. read more
