I'm not really a burger guy. I usually try to eat healthy and pretend that kale somehow offsets years of questionable decisions. But after a particularly aggressive workout, I decided I had earned a burger and fries. So after taking out a small home equity loan, off to Five Guys I went. Walking in, the ambiance was impossible to ignore. Giant sacks of potatoes were stacked against the walls like the restaurant was preparing for either the apocalypse or the world's least organized drug bust. Somewhere between a warehouse club and a county fair concession stand, Five Guys has somehow created a vibe that says, "Yes, this meal may shorten your lifespan, but what a glorious ride it'll be." The burger itself was outstanding -- messy in the way all great burgers should be. By the second bite, I looked like I had lost a fight with a ketchup bottle. The fries arrived in a quantity normally reserved for feeding a Little League team. I'm fairly certain the employees are legally prohibited from giving you a reasonable portion size. They just keep scooping fries into the bag until a manager blows a whistle. And honestly? Worth every financially irresponsible penny. Five Guys doesn't pretend to be sophisticated. Clean restaurant filled with peanuts and peanut oil, so careful if you have allergies. Ordered online and went, said my name and waited for them to finish the order. The fries are done fresh and the burger buns get dangerously soft and oily as you wait in the tinfoil wrapper. Fries are in the little containers but then topped off. They definitely fill you on the fries. Cajun fries are a little salty and spicy. Paper bags so watch the car with the oiliness. Overall great sandwich but have to eat it quickly. Traveling farther than 5-7 minutes makes them too soggy to eat. They number the sandwiches, too, in case you have large orders, this is helpful. read more

I only get one thing from here and that's the Cajun Fries, with the malt vinegar. I get a large and it's all I eat all day. Just love the seasoning as they go well with these potatoes, not every location gets it on point like here. Plus the staff is super friendly. read more

For the very first time I had Five Guys in 2020! I had researched on YouTube on what I should get and spoke with family who frequented the establishment. I ended up ordering a Regular Bacon Cheeseburger (2 patties) BBQ sauce, mayo, ketchup, grilled onion, jalapeño, pickles and mushrooms. I also ordered the cajun fries and a milkshake with Oreos, Oreo creme, banana and strawberry flavoring and malted. The Burger: Simply put, I had the expectation that this burger would be the end all to other fast food joint burgers. My veggies were limp besides the pickles and I was glad I didn't order the extra 3rd Pattie because two patties were good enough for me. I felt like there needed to be more of a flavor profile because of the limp veggies. Maybe next time I will order fresh veggies instead of grilled because the taste and the texture was not there. Overall, the burger was underwhelming but the limit is endless with the FREE customization. The Fries: I got cajun because I wanted to taste something other than regular fries. I saw on a YouTube video that their Cajun Fries are super salty. They are! I tried it once but probably won't be trying again. The saving grace of the fries were the extras in the bag. I shared a large with my wife and for a guy who can't get enough fries it was a pleasure to have plenty left over outside of the cup. Next time I'll try regular fries. The Shake: The overall underwhelming meal I had needed to be saved by this shake. I drank... When I order EXTRA Oreos I expected CHUNKS of Oreos in my cup. I tasted 2 or 3 small chunks of Oreo cookies in the entire cup. I did not taste the strawberry and the malted flavoring was clumped powder. This Oreo shake let me down big time. It did have a very nice consistency but the execution of my options were lack luster. TRY AGAIN... In The End: Would I go back? Yes if I wanted to customize a burger again and try the regular fries. I would indeed let them redeem themselves with my shake because the texture was on point. I will not be craving their food however like some people crave Checkers Fries by themselves. read more

Did you know they Deliver!!!! Our office ordered lunch from Five Guys for about 10 people. It was fantastic. Ordering was simple- no issues. All of the orders were correct, delivered on time & warm. This location is absolutely deplorable. They were cash only when I went. They had 7 employees in the store, yet only one employee was actually working (John.) I placed a pick up order for a milkshake that took nearly 20 minutes for them to fulfill. There were 5 other people waiting on their pick up orders. The person on fries was moving incredibly slow I was under the impression he was inebriated with how slow he was moving. Another staff member decided to go on his phone and pace around the kitchen on his phone while 5 people are waiting on the order. I picked up a doordash order from this location, and they literally had me bag the order myself. That is against doordash policy. So this place has been here for awhile now and this is now only my second time coming here since. It's never on my top to go to place but for some reason, i was craving the cajun fries (especially because they give you TONS for the same price) so I thought why not come and visit. I ended up getting a bacon cheeseburger with cajun fries AND a banana shake (LOL) and i was actually quite surprise because everything wasn't bad at all (pretty decent actually). Five Guy's burgers are right in between a shake shack burger quality and a town carnival burger- not amazing but also not that bad. The fries were plentiful like always and the banana shake was actually pretty good (tasted natural at least- non of that artificial stuff). Anyways, the staff was VERY helpful and super sweet. What I love about this place is that the quality is so consistent. The burgers are always made fresh and honestly I couldn't tell if there was any difference between these burgers and any one i'd find at a fine dining establishment. The fries always taste fresh and they aren't afraid to fill your bag with them, unlike McDonald's which will fill your large fries container about half way. I've also had the shakes here, but I wasn't crazy about them and it felt like I was gratuitously pouring excessive amounts of calories down my throat. Dispensing with the fact (or my opinion) that there's a massive chasm of a gap between Five Guys and Shake Shack, this outpost of Five Guys does a more than adequate job in all departments. Given the consistency of all of my numerous visits to this location, this review reflects both my visit today and my previous visits generally. SERVICE: Having visited other locations with truly poor (piss poor in some cases) service, this location provides a very good service experience. Ordering is easy, the peanuts are well-stocked for pre-meal snacking, and the food comes out quickly (usually with a smile). One thing they might consider is serving eat in meals on trays instead of wasting all of those brown paper bags. FOOD: Burger - Generally very good, though like Elevation Burger, they would benefit from some additional seasoning. The fact that you can (and I always do) order about a zillion free toppings is a huge plus; love the sautéed onions and mushrooms. Unlike other places (incl. Elevation Burger) that will oblige the request for a lettuce-wrapped burger, Five Guys only serves a bunless burger in a disposable tin. Get with the program guys; lettuce wrapped should be an option. Hot Dog - Nothing to say other than that they make a great dog. Salty with a nice snap to it. Fries - Other than the fact that the fries emit massive amounts of grease (stained brown bags, anyone?), the fries is very good if not a bit salty. Not sure why this restaurant has not be listed on a Yelp up to this point. This is part of the famous Five Guys chain. You are greeted by a giant bucket of peanuts. Grab a few scoopfuls into the little cardboard trays while you wait for your burger and fries. If you go with a friend, split the fries, they give you a bagful! The burgers are terrific and it's all you can drink at their terrifically cool coke machine. The music is great and the place is spotless, they are constantly cleaning. Another tip, ask for the fries well done. The staff is very accommodating and super nice. Tip, don't forget to leave a dollar or two for the staff. read more

Came to this location for the first time yesterday. I've been craving a messy, cheesy, bacon-y burger for the last month now so I was excited when my husband suggested coming here. Ordered the bacon burger with everything (minus the mushrooms). If you get a burger here you should definitely get it with everything which is mayo, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, pickles, ketchup and mustard. Any other way is sacrilegious. It was sooooo good. I would NEVER recommend this place at all. My first visit at this location. Obviously management issues, the wrong game players cooking and the one taking order red dreads a bit of attitude. I saw her gloves touch her hair many times and proceeded to use the same glove to prepare food. And then finally I found hair in my burger, gross. I've let the red dreads know and didn't find it alarming. But to tell me adamantly what they call wearing hair nets is hair tied up in a rubber band. Everyone there had the hair exposed. I had to tell another if he made my burger. He said I should get another burger or free drink but it took too long. Then it was brought to managers and final got a refund. Unfortunate! I walked in and the young lady behind the counter was really nice. I returned after having some really amazing fries that my coworker and I had at another location. I wish I would have just waited until I got to the McDonald's a little down the street. In order my fries and asked for them to be a little crisper than normal. The gentleman drops the fries and then gets on the phone to talk. The other lady who was working the grill notice that they have been down for a while and stops what she is doing to take them out. I get to the car and I taste them and they are burnt. I am so tried that I toss them and drive to McDonald's. read more

Great uncomplicated burgers. All burgers are under a fiver and the toppings come for free. Friendly service and no problem to adjust your order. The French fries are freshly chopped everyday and fried in peanut oil. It's all very oily but nonetheless delicious. I would have liked to see the burgers being wrapped in paper rather than using aluminum wrapper which is not the best choice for the environment. I visited today and my experience was mediocre. It started off very poorly with the cashier. The cashier made a mistake with a friends order and he was owed money back. Instead of granting him a refund immediately, the friend was forced to wait while the cashier continued to take orders from everyone else in line. Probably about 8 people. Meanwhile I asked for a cup for water and I was told I had to wait for it. The cashier again refused to assist me until I waited for him to service about 4 more customers and then I insisted he finish serving me before starting with others. I hope this cashier gets some training on customer satisfaction. But on to the food. I ordered a small burger with bacon with toppings of pickles, onions, and mushrooms. The hamburger I was served was extremely under seasoned, if at all. The roll was not toasted and was extremely soggy. The grilled onions were more like boiled onions. It is a burger restaurant, however, most of the time I order the veggie burger with bacon and cheddar cheese. It's tasty and if you like fries, they give you a double order for the price of 1 order. The staff is always pleasant and I've been to this location about 3 times. It's ok for a quick bite and I like to see my food being prepared so I'd really give it 3.5 stars but that isn't an option. Love their little cheeseburgers (just the right size to fill me up). Their fries are good too :) All naturelle (skins included). I like to get the cajun fries sometimes. Their servings of fries are quite large though. My family of 4 can share the regular size and sometimes have leftovers. The fries don't seem real greasy, but the bag they come in will have plenty of evidence of grease, lol! Oh, and they have the fountain dispenser where you choose your flavors to mix in your drink. Let me start by saying that I'm a big fan of Five Guys. But an experience at the E. Hanover location one evening in early March has caused me to reconsider. When my burger was delivered the condiments were as far from being from what I ordered as possible. Brought this to the attention of the person in charge and she asked me what I wanted done. Asked for a burger prepared as I ordered it. She gave me attitude and them just walked away. I tossed the food a left the restaurant. Notified Five Guys by e-mail.. Had an early lunch at this Five Guys location, so there were only a few other customers. The staff was friendly.
