I am impressed with the overflowing quantities on the several buffet stations... a very extensive fish and seafood assortment... that is really nice! Plus your favorite standards of orange chicken, chop suey, fried rice, egg rolls.... etc... No going hungry here! Some of the items seem to be put there to just too fill in the blanks, I guess!? ... For what other reason would basic canned corn or macaroni and cheese be doing at a Chinese buffet? Sushi is good but, I of course had much better... but this a buffet.... Not some 5 star restaurant we're talking about. Desserts were blah, American jello or little petit fours seen at most Polish buffets in the area...Remember, Chinese is one of the cuisines that doesn't shine very well in the pastry and desert dept.... What good is good variety when the place is dirty? I did not enjoy watching the staff walk around the isles of food "inspecting" if their version of inspecting is picking up bits of food that came out from the pan (or someones plate!) off the counter and putting it back into the food for people to eat. They did this countless times and my stomach started to turn, with deep regret of spending any money here to eat. Granted I know not everything is perfect with every establishment but I do believe that it's common sense not to pick up stuff that fell and put it back in the pan to contaminate the rest of the food. I guess that's what I get for going to a buffet, seems inevitable. -Kids touching EVERYTHING, like the fruits, grabbing jello with both of their hands like they picked up candy from a Pinyata. This place scared me. Really. I've had a lot of really good Chinese food. This was NOT good. There were two types of fried rice that didn't even taste like fried rice. They had a few beef dishes and a few chicken dishes that were strange - instead of beef with broccoli, it was chicken with broccoli. Instead of Mongolian beef it was Mongolian chicken. The crab rangoons were very yellow but I thought, hey who cares, as long as it tastes good....they were below average but that was due to the fact that they were ice cold. They had a lot of dishes that were strange to me and some that were alien to me; shrimp (with legs/uncleaned), some sort of cockroach looking seafood, clams, fried tilapia (complete with tails/scales)..... I'm not a sushi person but I did notice they had a ton of it. They also had an area where you could pick your own meats/veggies to stir fry but it did not look appealing to me so I stayed away. The dessert section looked promising but i was wrong; a few pastries, a large variety of fruits, puddings and jellos. All of the fruit was too hard/not yet ripe and the pastries didn't look so good. Compared to some other chinese buffets that I have been to, I thought the taste of all the dishes were sub par. But I give it 3 stars because 40+ dishes including crab legs for $10 is good value. I kid you not, there was this African American lady sitting by herself and she must have had at least 40 crab legs. We had to shift our seats a little because every time she cracked a leg, there was crab juice christening our food and foreheads. She made the most of her $10! There was one noteworthy dish, the laughable sushi. They used a molding box to mold the nigiri. So the nigiri was a huge block of rice topped with paper thin salmon. The food itself is OK. Some of their items were cold. They must have a problem keeping the food hot. I know it's a challenge at buffets. That being said, that does not stop them from have a crowded place almost every time I have gone by. The times I chose to go in were off times so it wasn't so bad. I honestly don't know if it was us arriving one hour prior to closing, but the food was ICE cold, the floors were filthy, bathrooms were atrocious w/excrement all over the last seat in far stall, children running wild, the displays of food were clustered (trays over lapping onto one another) food particles littered the food wells, filthy utensils, loud obnoxious parties w/their equally obnoxious children..the sushi looked and tasted like it was hand rolled last year...the fish they had laid out for (human?) consumption I wouldn't serve to my dog...mega disappointment, do yourself a favor...save yourself the 30.00$ (the price I blindly paid for for myself & my partner) & go to Longhorn across the parking lot..at least there you know WHAT your eating! It's convenient. It's well-priced. And we keep coming back for more. Out of all the asian buffets in the area, this is a pretty good go-to. For $12-$13/person, you'll definitely get full. This is even the price for crab legs nights on friday and saturday evenings.... the meat isn't that juicy, but the flavoring isn't bad. not too salty, but not as sweet as i'd like either. I like that they have chop chae noodles as an alternative to plain boring rice and fried rice. They have americanized foods (ick! why would you get pizza or mac n cheese from a chinese joint... but whatever. probably to appease spoiled kids) But seafood galore! They have the best clam soup from a buffet that i've had. I know that going to a China Buffet is always a gamble, but this place is better than most. The restaurant is tucked away in a little shopping center across from the mall. The place is fairly large with plenty of seating and there are lots of food choices. During our visit the place was crowded so the food was replaced on a regular basis. My only two complaints would be that kids were allowed to roam free and digging through the food. Also there were a couple of items offered that were additional costs. There are so many different varieties of food to choose from and for around $14 a person on Sunday I expect nothing less. Overall, the food is delicious but some food like the dim sum and egg rolls are nasty. The dim sum was soggy and the egg roll contains a fillings I just don't like. But that's just my opinion. Food was everywhere where it should not be, barely luke-warm, scattered outside the trays on counters a half eaten rib was sitting on the window sill in the entrance. There was this sharp needle in the rice, it poked my mouth inside and I bled a little, we told a guy upfront yet he only said "oh throw it away and get a new plate it's from the food boxes" all irresponsible he didn't even care if it poked me. I grew up coming to this place, I used to look forward to it every Saturday. I would even go out with my friend's family whenever they happened to go. But over the years I noticed that the food became more and more tasteless. Trying the food, you can tell that not a lot of effort is put into it. Yes, they are well known for their wide selection of food (which is pretty impressive) but so what if they are made so lousy. Honestly, I prefer going to a much smaller location with less variety but made right vs. a lot of choices and just made to fill up the plates. Surprisingly they are extremely busy, which makes sense to bring the family and eat endless supply of food to fill up. But when it comes to taste it's not worth it. When this place first opened they took care of it, took care of customers. Now its just a dump. I visited many times begrudgingly in later years. While most of the food is fresh, it takes them quite a bit of time to replace it after its all gone. The only upside to this place is the sushi. Most of the time there is little kids running around unsupervised and recklessly, playing with the food and constantly pouring the ice cream on the floor or spilling something. On several occasions, myself or the group I was with has had our tables taken by other customers at the urging of waitresses, simply because the other customers wanted that seat, one instance going so far as my group of 6 demanding a refund for the poor service, after having to constantly having to remove the other groups food and drinks from our table. I gave this place multiple chances, and will only go as a last resort, but I can find better chinese in the frozen section at Jewel. I've been here several times, every time I come here the food and customer service get worse and worse ....(((( the waitress was shouting to my bf because he put dirty place by ice cream table because when she passed us she didn't see the dirty plates... We tried to get her attention, and she was yellowing !!!!! After a few hours of playing laser tag, my partner and I decided we needed food to shove down our gullets. There were two things that caught our eyes, an IHOP and Super China Buffet. I'll be honest, because of how famished I was, the idea of a buffet won out. Plus, I hadn't been to a Chinese buffet in a couple of years and I love them! When we walked in, I took a quick glance around and noticed the place seemed pretty clean. When I got to the front to desk to pay, I was a little shocked by the price. It was about $14, which is now the most expensive Chinese buffet I've been to. I didn't let that deter me though, because hey, the food could be amazing, right? Sadly, the food was not amazing. Most of the food that was in a sauce tasted similar which is definitely not what I want in my Chinese food. The sauce is about the main thing that usually separates Mongolian beef from General Tso's chicken. At this establishment, they were all just very bland tasting. The egg rolls were alright. All of the fish dishes I had were not tasty at all. They were either poorly fried, or the shellfish had stuffing on top that was very overpowering. One of them just tasted like I was eating mayonnaise. That's another thing, the signs above the food were disorganized, so I can't even really tell you the names of most of food I ate. All the noodle and rice dishes were dried out. I actually choked on some rice during my meal because it was difficult swallowing it. There were some saving graces to the meal. The pot stickers were very good. They are humongous! Probably 2.5x the size of a normal pot sticker. The flavor wasn't bad either. The other tasty item was the meat on a stick. I'm assuming it was pork, but again, the signs were messed up. It was pretty tasty with a crispy skin. If you are really wanting to eat at a Chinese buffet then Super China Buffet will still do the trick. However, you might walk away feeling unsatisfied. I was very shocked, because I was there with my family and we were having an amazing time. When we were almost done with our food a waitress came over and started to give dirty looks and muttering stuff under her breath (later on to know that she was saying a bad word under her breath) I was very surprised and this wasn't the only thing they did, they also kicked us out of our seats even though we weren't leaving yet. She gave us a really dirty look when we left. The food was delicious but they kinda dragged on refilling it up. People were fighting over forks. They took away my aunt's fork when she got it and I saw people racing to the pizza when one of the workers put it on display. I also wanted some noodles so I decided to wait until they filled it up since it was empty. Barely 6 minutes later I returned and saw that they refilled it but it was all gone. Decided to try this place for the first time, bad idea! At the register they charged me $5 for a 4yr old, $2 for a barely 1yr old and almost $10 each adult. I could not believe they charged me for an infant. After sitting down, you see the rugs are filthy dirty, the food selection is minimal and just OK when it comes to taste. The absolute deal breaker was the ghetto @$$ people sitting behind us. Kids running all over, screaming like it chuck e cheese or something and the staff doesn't even say anything. Don't let these negative reviews stop you from visiting. They have some of the freshest foods buffets offer. Prices are decent. 3 people for almost $40. They often deliver more just made foods. Honestly this isn't bad for a buffet...buffets tend to have old food. Not all of this locations food is great, but it is pretty darn good! Be cautious whenever you choose the food here. Some of the food can be good if it's fresh, however at times it gets dry because it is laying out for hours. Tip # 1: Always take food from the bottom of pans because the old food is put on the top. Tip # 2: Ask one of the staff to give fresh wontons that haven't been all broken up and soggy from laying in broth. They should be served in a separate pan always!
