There are a lot of car dealers up and down Aurora, and of the used car dealers, Lucino of Super America is the only one I trust. I cannot speak for a dealership I did not do business with, but have read Yelp and Google reviews. I bought a good used car here three years ago, and outside of oil changes and a few added fluids the car has gotten me to work and back home every time. Lucino and his family hand pick every car they sell. Although they are higher priced, they are worth it, because you can count on them. And should something go wrong, Lucino is quick to offer a free fix or at worst, charge a reasonable labor fee at cost, which would be rare if it should happen-- in other words, Lu is a cherry picker, and he likes cream puffs, both of which you will find here, but at this "grocer" of cars, there are no lemons. Lucino also finances in house for those who cannot go through the banks like me, and for that I am very grateful because nobody really likes taking the bus, and often the car will get you there four to five times faster. Salesman is an A hole. For the past 2 months, me and my husband have been seeing online one of their cars (Lexus GS 1992) for $6,000 with only 120,000 miles. Obviously we tried reaching out through the phone but no answer. We decided to take a drive from our home in Tacoma, and with the full asking price in cash. After walking around the car a couple times he came out so we asked him if he could unlock it so that we can see the interior and turn it on. He said with the nastiness attitude ever and I quote : "are you buying today, or what?". I said that we obviously need to check the car first, and to that he responded: "okay you can check it from the outside". I guess with that display of sassiness they sell a lot of cars lmao. Wish I could give this place less than 1 star. My husband and I bought a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder for cash from this location back in April. Car died and was unfixable less than 2 months later after it completely shut itself down on the freeway. There were identified small problems that we overlooked when we bought it like the speakers and gas gauge. What they DID NOT tell us was that someone TOOK OUT the "Check Engine" light sensor. So apparently the check engine light was supposed to be on but they took it out & because of this the car died while doing 60 on the freeway. Had a mechanic look at it after it died and he said the only way this happened is that someone physically removed the sensor. Horribly unsafe and such a loss of money! read more

Just a small thing: I called this morning asking for interior floor-to-ceiling measurements on a van they'd just listed. A very nice woman answered on the first or second ring, ran out to measure it within 10 minutes, and texted me right back. I came in with the full intention of buying a second car, had the cash and easily could have financed if I wanted to but when I asked if he would unlock the car he said not unless I was going to buy. I laughed as I thought he was kidding but he proceeded to tell me people had kept getting in that car and scratching it. Absolutely blows my mind that I'm a put together guy in my mid thirties that rolled up in a car worth four times the value of the one I wanted to see and he wouldn't even show it. Would never negotiate or buy a car from someone who don't have communication or people skills. One of the best car places there is in North Seattle! I bought my Saab 9-5 from here and have been loving it ever since. They are very respectful people and they are willing to work with you based on your circumstances. I don't have the best credit but they were able to get me off the lot in a car that day! I got told no at several others places and at Super America it seemed like they really cared about getting me into a car. They also have been great with minor fixes like oil changes or tire repairs which is great when the car is expensive to get fixed. They also give you a warranty on the car for about to first couple a months to give you some headspace just in case the worst happens :) Overall, this is my best option "go-to" dealer to buy a new or used car! I highly recommend Super America for anyone in the market for a used car. Unlike other car dealers I dealt with, Lu was trustworthy, patient and kind. I bought a Jeep from him 2 years ago and he has continued to help me maintain and upkeep my car. The Jeep was 20 years old when I bought it, so it was helpful to have Lu and his mechanic available to give advice and perform minor repairs. Their vehicles are way overpriced and have lots of issues. They buy from the auction and fix themselves. I just needed another company van. After I pointed out everything wrong with the "113k mile van" they were selling he became hostile with me and wouldn't let me even look at anything else. I honestly would have fixed the issues if he wasn't 3k over blue book and unwilling to budge. If I could give 0 stars I would. Wasted 4 hours of my time and I had cash in hand. Purchased an 01 Subaru back in December of last year from these guys and couldn't be happier. They did a bunch of major maintenance on the car while they had it and the work is very high quality. Been looking for a retired police car for a while since I commute long distances a lot and have been getting tired of people driving like crazy around me. Long story short I'm a former Navy pilot, now fly for a major airline and commute to Seatac from Whidbey Island a couple times a week. Anyway, finally found a great car here after much searching around the net. The price was fair with VERY low miles so I went to check it out. Was a bit skeptical since it's a small dealership amongst all the ones on highway 99 but Lu and Mercedes were great. No pressure at all! Gave them my drivers license and let me inspect the car and take it out for a test drive BY MYSELF without anyone hanging around. I appreciated that since I was able to really take my time...again former Navy and spent a lot of hours preflighting my planes. Only thing I found was that it didn't have a spare tire but Lu hooked me up with one- a full size spare! (he didn't have to but that's what you'll find at this dealership). What I really liked was the mom and pop business feel of this place. There was a couple of cars online through private sales but I'm glad I found them. They're just good people and will work with you to put you in a car you want for a great price which in my case was below Kelly blue book value. Highly recommend them!!! read more

Just called minutes ago to inquire information about the car that they were selling. The guy named Lu (whether owner or not- even worse if this kind of a person is a owner) said it is fine to ask questions about the car, like he doesn't have any reasons to shy away. Good! So I only got to 2 questions. First of my question was "Has it been maintained properly?" And he said, "I don't know, we buy cars from the auction, whatever the Carfax shows, that's all we know." Ok, fine. Then the next question- "The car is reaching 100,000 miles, so I wanna know if the 100,000 miles service has been done least." Then he says "If you don't have money to buy a car, it's not for you." I was like, "Huh? What did you just say to me? How do you know I have the money to buy the car or not, we just had 2 questions." Then he says "You are asking stupid (he really specifically said this, first) questions for an old car. The car is not for you, go get a new car if you want." So I said, "What's wrong with asking about 100,000 miles service being done on a car that is reaching 100,000miles? What's wrong with your attitude?" Then he said again "Well you are asking all these stupid questions on a car that's old yada yada... remember, we only got to a 2nd question less than 2 minutes of a talk time so far. At this point the conversation got ugly and useless, so I said "Good luck," and hung off. With 20 years of buying and selling of more than 20 cars of my experiences, this was truly the shortest conversation I wanted to have ever, not to mention was the worst. In the middle I was kind of thinking 'Maybe he got sick of people calling just asking questions but never actually end up buying cars.' Trying my best to understand and put myself in his shoes. (It happens, I can understand that..") but NO. When he pulled up "If you don't have money" out of nowhere, judging (least trying to) and said the word "stupid" right up front, All was done. Nada. Yet another major mechanical problem with this truck that I bought some weeks ago. Well the four-wheel drive appears to engage, the front wheels do not engage in 4-wheel drive. It appears the four wheel drive actuator for the front end does not and never has functioned. The only reason I found out it all was that I got stuck in the sand at ocean shores and the rear wheels were spinning but the front ones were not. If you're looking for a mechanically sound vehicle this is not the place to buy one. read more

My husband and I needed a car when we moved to a neighborhood a bit farther out from the city center. Since it was just going to be for city driving I didn't want to spend a ton of money on anything fancy just because I knew inevitably it would get dinged and just needed to get me from point A to point B. We reached out to a few used car places and Lu at Super America Auto responded promptly and invited us in to take a look at his inventory. Their sales process was really laid back (no hard selling) and it's obvious that they really care about the cars they sell. They gave us a great deal on an older model car with really low mileage and made sure that even the few minor mechanical issues (that were to be expected in a 10+ year old car) were fixed before handing us the keys. Since the purchase the car has driven great, and the one time I heard/felt something weird going on I called Lu up and he told me to bring it and fixed it at cost since it was really minor (needed a few new spark plugs). We'll be happy to keep going back for routine maintenance on our car! Bonus points that SAA is local and family owned. Really happy we stopped in. read more

This dealership ripped me off and I ended up having to put almost $4000.00 into the car that I am still making payments on. Super America Auto Sales purposely disabled the check engine light to hide the failing hybrid battery...which cost $2800.00 to replace. Beware of Lu's sneaky "Implied Warranty Negotiation Statement". My husband truck broke down so we needed another car in the family, I let him keep my car so I was the one who needed another car, I was looking for a AWD and one day my husband and I drove by Super America Auto Sell and we noticed a great selection of vehicles in their parking lot and we decided to stop and look around, we were greeted right away by the owner of the dealer, we talked for a bit, we asked questions, he answered, he never pressured us into to buying anything, that's one of the things my husband and I likeed so we decided to look around, we noticed mostly all the vehicles in the lot had very low mileage that's a second thing we liked, we tested a few cars, I honestly didn't know which car to purchase I like all the cars I was seeing but I was looking for a AWD, so we ended up choosing a 2009 Pontiac Torrent AWD, with only 84,000 mileage on it, it was very clean inside out, I had to finance and the third thing I liked the experience was so quick and easy, compared to other car dealers I have dealt with in the past, the owner was very helpful and very honest with me and in less than an hour I was out the door with the keys of my now Pontiac. I commute to work every day from Kent to Redmond and I deal with great traffic all the time and my Pontiac has not given me any issues. Was dreading having to buy a car for my teenager. Previously dealership experiences have scarred me! This was a completely different ballgame. We were allowed to look around the lot with no pressure. We were provided with keys to look inside any cars of interest and offered to take as long as we wanted to test drive, although it was close to closing time. We returned the next day to take the car for a pre-purchase inspection by an independent mechanic. They were happy to oblige. Only a couple of minor issues, which they offered to fix. Such a great experience here! Looks like it's family owned which made the whole experience feel a lot more intimate and comfortable. We just bought a 2010 Nissan Altima here for $9,600 which was $1200 under asking price and was brought down just to get us at the payments we needed to be able to afford the car. This was so kind and helpful as my dads car just died out of no where and it was really short notice. They were so helpful and they have such cute and sweet dogs! I bought my Subaru here about a year ago. After going to several different used car dealerships, I'm really glad I chose Super America. I was really nervous about buying a used car and having to deal with sleazy sales people, but the owner Lu is anything but. He is super kind and honest and made the process easy. They even gave me a refund check after the registration fees for my car were less than they expected (which they totally didn't have to do because I wouldn't have known the difference!) I've brought my car in for the small bits of work it's needed since then- even though they are on the opposite end of Seattle from where I live I keep going back because I trust them so much. They've always communicated well (they will communicate via text if requested which is a huge plus for me) and have been very friendly. They are super honest and undercharge me for the work they do. The owner is really nice and it's a great small, family-run business. If I need to buy another used car in the future I will definitely go to them first! I can't recommend them enough! read more

Absolutely great! Super America's prices were excellent and the car selection was good. The most impressive and reassuring aspect of Super America are the people who own and operate it. Right out of the Boy Scout manual: trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, and kind. I tend to be a skeptical shopper, and my previous experiences shopping for used cars (or new) were quite different. This is very much a family operation; Lucino and his kids exemplify honesty and sincerity, adjectives I wouldn't normally associate with used car dealers. Let me back up this praise with the particulars. We had been shopping for a used Subaru for our son as a college graduation gift and had visited numerous dealers up and down Aurora Avenue (and Craigslist calls, etc). On our first visit to Super America I told Lucino our budget and our wishlist and we looked at a couple vehicles, but they were not quite right. Just the same, I left there feeling like Lucino was a real decent guy. A week later he called me and said he had just gotten a 2002 Subaru Outback he thought we might like. It wasn't even listed or inventoried, but he had driven it, their mechanic had inspected it, and it was in excellent condition. We drove down (from Whidbey Island!) immediately and took it for a spin. It seemed absolutely perfect, but I am cautious and Lucino heard my concerns. He showed me the CarFax on the vehicle and encouraged me... I must emphasize this... he ENCOURAGED me to take it to an independent mechanic for any inspection, gave me a phone book and suggested some local shops. When none could take a look that day, he offered to drop the car off wherever I chose and pick it back up! Incredible. Absolutely incredible!!! I had a much better experience at Super America Auto Sale then expected based on my previous encounters at other car dealerships. Lou and his wife where very friendly, not pushy, and a lot more trusting then I would be. My wife and I where on the lot looking at a cargo van before the dealership had opened. When Lou arrived he requested a copy of my driver's license and immediately gave me the keys and encouraged us to take it for a test drive. After about a 30 minute test drive I went back to the lot and explained that I had a couple of concerns. Lou agreed to take care of my issues and that I can pick up the van the next day if a small deposit was left. The very next day I received a call letting me know the van was ready to be picked up. The complete process was easy and stress free. This family run company is a pleasure to do business with.
