Horrible, horrible experience! Show yourself some respect and kindness and don't stay here. On my side of the bed, the mattress was collapsed on the middle edge so badly, I had to put a pillow there under me to keep from literally rolling out of bed! Even with the pillow there, it was a restless uncomfortable night. I got up 5 times before giving up trying to sleep at 6 am. The threshold into the bathroom was raised and I caught my foot on the sharp straight metal. I didn't hit it hard, but if I had been moving faster, it would have cut me like a potato peeler. Breakfast was supposed to be served from 6-9 according to the information folder in our room, but a sign in the breakfast area said 6-8. We got there at 6:45 and the only food offered were small chocolate chip muffins and those miniature chocolate donuts- individually wrapped in plastic wrap, a few granola bars, juice and coffee. That's it. No fruit, no yogurt, no cheese sticks, no toast or bagels, even though there was a toaster. All the meager dried out stale offerings were gone by 7 am with no more offered. I forgot to mention the giant hole in the wall behind the entrance door of our room. Seems like a simple doorstop would have prevented that. I tried to tell the man running the place about the issues, but he just said"okay, thank you, I'll check" before I had even finished describing the problems. Seems like he has insincerely said that a few times- he clearly didn't care. I am all for saving money, but you'd have to have some sort of subconscious self loathing to stay at this place after reading all the reviews. I know I owe myself an apology. read more

Worst place we have stayed our whole trip. One guy runs the whole thing and is a real jerk. As soon as we walked in with our road-weary special-needs children he told us to try to keep them quiet. Most of them were infants. He kept making big frustrated sighs the whole time we were checking in. They weren't even that loud to begin with. Just tired babies. The whole place is a dump to begin with, not very clean, and I'm pretty sure there is only one guy running everything by himself. There were holes in the sheets on the bed and the curtains were half falling off the window. There was a big to-do in the middle of the night about where we had parked and was handled by a man screaming in the parking lot up to our 2nd floor window. At 8am the desk manager let himself into our room without knocking while we were still in bed asleep. He mumbled a weak apology and left again. Definitely would NOT recommend. Never staying again, without a doubt. read more

The room was nice and clean when we arrived, the heater worked and the bed was comfy as usual! Overall it was a great visit, no complaints. This super 8 didn't pop up on maps or our hotel apps however, so when we arrived in town we were surprised to see it but thankful they had rooms available on such short notice. read more

This is, by far, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my life, and I've traveled throughout third world countries. This was worse than the worst place in a third world country. The smoke detector was completely covered in tape, a complete fire code violation. The shower didn't work--it shut itself off every 30 seconds and I couldn't get it back on without significant effort. The bed was filthy. Covered in snot and little black human hairs. The pillow even had a human head imprint in it. Who knows how many people sleep in those beds without them ever being washed. Disgusting. The carpet was filthy, moldy, damp, and about 40 years old. The chair and beds were filthy. Everything about the place was completely disgusting I would have immediately left it we hadn't checked in at 2 am after not being able to get a room in 2 other nearby hotels. I didn't have the issues I see from the other reviews. I stayed here on the way to Ohio and it was okay, so I tried it again on the return trip. It's a Super 8 so your expectations aren't high. :) But the sediment load in the water was atrocious on the return visit. The water was brown. I had just stayed at the 8 in Bonner Springs, KS and their water was brown. I was feeling some sort of cosmic conspiracy with me and the 8's :) read more

Well after reading the reviews for the hotels in Burlington, co we decided to stop here in limon for the night after driving all day...the lady was super friendly and nice. They gave a aaa discount and is pet friendly so we were all set. Got into the room on the second floor and it was so hot and had the smell that it totally was a pet friendly room. Turned the ac unit on and it never ever cooled off, ever. The room was pretty much what you would think for a motel. Kinda sceeved out, ended up just passed out on top of the comforter. The next day we couldn't figure out how to turn the shower on so that was awesome. If you need a place to pass out, it's fine but that's about it. At least the staff is nice, more than you can say about most places but hey this is the Midwest right! read more

I am only giving 4 stars, as this is not the cleanest Super 8 I've ever been to. I visited in June, 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, and the front desk people were very nice, and helpful. The room was not that clean...the chair in the room had a blood stain on it (I think it was room 208 - upstairs, on the north side of the hallway), and the carpet wasn't very clean. On our way to KS from CA, we got a flat 9 miles from the exit and we ended up at this Super 8. Husband, toddler and myself were tired and desperately needed to lay down on a bed. The (double bed) room was $72 for the night. We got our key, schlepped our luggage up the stairs to a room that smelled like it hadn't had fresh air in decades. After showering and getting ready to end the day, my Husband walks out of the bathroom saying he killed a bug- something that looked similar to a tick. Immediately, I checked the sheets and underneath the mattress. Oh my goodness. BEDBUGS. Not just 1, or 2, or 3, but 9 bedbugs underneath the mattress my toddler was on. Even more under the second bed. I called front desk and told the man we would be checking out, I declined the offer to change rooms and told him we would need a refund. We grabbed our luggage but left behind a our fleece blanket because I had mistakenly put it on the bed when I was changing my child. I dared not risk bringing bed bugs into the car or anywhere near my child. We Those were the scariest, creepy crawliest 40 minutes of my life. read more

It has been years since we've stayed in a Super 8, so maybe this is typical but this was absolutely NOT worth $94. The AC in the room was good. Lock on the window was completely missing and the screen ripped in half. The hallways were incredibly hot and had no air conditioning. There was a makeshift portable ac unit at the end of the hallway with a hose sticking out the window and a sign on it telling people not to turn it on. Humorously enough the window in the hall also had a sign on it telling people not to open it. Apparently ventilation is not their thing...The door at the end of the hall where we were told to unload had a broken card reader so it opened at will for anyone to enter the hotel unnoticed at any time of the day or night. Our curved shower bar was swinging free so that the curtain slid to the middle leaving both ends of the tub exposed so that water went everywhere. The toilet barely flushed and would fill so completely that it looked as if it would overflow each time we flushed. The hook on the back of the bathroom door was stripped and fell off when we attempted to use it, so there was no where to hang your clothing while in the shower. The breakfast was such a joke and since you know it's rolled into the price of the room I'd very much rather they just knock the price down and skip the attempt. We will not stay here again, and honestly no more Super 8's will be in our future. read more

I can't even give this place 1 star it was nasty dirty should of waled to front desk and got our money back. The room was disgusting smelled, carpet was ad old as hotel. We checked mattresses for bed bugs none were found. But the mattresses were so old the tags were cracked. Slept like 4 hours cause back door kept slammig shut all night. So we got up grandkiddos wanted breakfast when I saw the waffles in the drawer with the bread I said no way and took them to McDonald's witch was so much better. SO TAKE MY ADVICE AND NEVER NEVER STAY AT THIS PLACE. IF I COULD NOT PICK A STAR TO LET PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THIS HE HOLE I WOULDN'T!!! read more

Exceptional in all ways but, sadly, not in a positive way. I have to agree with other reviewers, though, the staff was very friendly and personable. The building photo is apparently quite old, as the structure is visibly in sad shape and will require more than a quick coat of paint. The room was better, but far from clean and the spider in the bed wasn't exactly a pleasant surprise. Adding to the awesomeness, was a price increase because of an additional person (Seriously, who charges by the person?) and the pet fee the website didn't even mention at all. Total cost of this rat-trap dive was over $90! Staff: Awesome - 5/5 Location: Perfect - 5/5 Appearance: Pathetic - 1/5 Cleanliness: Marginal - 1/5 WiFi: Slow, but acceptable - 3/5 Amenities (TV, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker): Acceptable - 3/5 Value: WAY over-priced - 1/5 Recommended to others: Not a chance. I should have checked Yelp first before I booked this Super 8 ! The room is not clean. There was hair on my sheet & toilet !!! The fridge didn't work and smelled very bad. Staff was very rude and called police when i complained about the FILTHY rooms. Pubic hair in beds and shower, 4 peices of trash on floor which hadnt been vaccumed in who knows how long, dirty stained bedding(blood and semon) hardly any toilet paper. Dirty even in the hallways. I read the reviews and thought, "Well it's the cheapest place here; and how bad can it be?" Bad, folks. Really bad. I did check for evidence bedbugs under the mattress and found none--that's the only reason I stayed. The carpet was filthy; the chair was filthy; the comforter was torn. My dog lay on the ground and I told him NO--got him onto the bed (sans comforter). The bathroom sink was coated in soap scum; a little toilet paper and water cleaned it nicely, meaning it hadn't been cleaned at all. I'd been driving for hours and checked in late, so I asked about late checkout. Nope. It's okay; I wouldn't have wanted to stay late anyway. My advice is, if you have to stop in Limon, spend an extra $20-30 and stay at one if the motels across the street. read more

I needed a quick place to crash during a long drive, and didn't want to spend too much. This place doesn't even meet that requirement. On the plus side, the place is close to I-70 and the staff are quite courteous. On the debit side, the place is very run down and not too clean. I woke up with insect bites all over my head and shoulders, which I assume came from bedbugs. for the time and money it's costing me to clean out my clothes and take care of the bites, I could have stayed in a nicer place, been better rested and had a better breakfast. read more

DISGUSTING! Saw the room and asked for our money back. Old, dirty bedding with cigarette burns on the blankets (in non-smoking room). Filthy, stained chairs. Drapes falling off rod. Luggage rack broken. No refrigerator or microwave as advertised. Now I know why there weren't any cars i. The parking lot! We stayed in Super 8 motels all around the country, and they were fine - some even great. To top it off, this location charged more than any other property during our travels. DON'T stay here.
